This is a family run business. The team was FABULOUS, FRIENDLY, and always willing to help!!!! We had 22 years worth of accumulated "life" that they packed and moved for us in two days. They also came back and picked up the boxes and wrapping paper. The experience was better than we expected. In reviewing with other movers, the VALUE was better then their competitors. The movers broke so many items, crushed bins, damaged furniture- it's too much to list. If you don't care if your stuff is damaged and you get a penny on the dollar to fix it (forget about replacing anything), these are your guys. Truck was too small so they just crushed stuff to make it fit. Mattresses were strapped to the back. Nice Beverley Hillbilly way to move. Do NOT use them. The cost to move was $1200 over the quoted price. No one would show me the scale weight either. Read More

Horrible horrible company. We just moved into our new apartment from Florida. We arrived July 10th. The movers did not arrive until July 28th. Upon their scheduled arrival there was no call ahead of time to alert us they were close by. We were given an arrival time of 8-9am. They arrived at 10am. We were adamant from the beginning that our bed frame be reassembled. This was part of our agreement with our initial moving company Zippyshell who contracted out to Yolo Transfer upon our cargo arriving on the west coast. The movers did not assemble the frame and simply left after unloading everything. When we contacted Yolo about the bed frame we were told that I told the movers not to worry about the bed which is a complete lie. I told them not to worry about how our furniture was placed and I would re-arrange once I got off work. The rep Maria we spoke with did not care one bit. Why would she? They already got our money. Do not give your business to these lazy crooks. P.S. there are a ton of fake positive reviews for this company so don't let that fool you. Read More

We moved across town recently. I specifically told the head mover to be careful of our antique plaster statue, 100 years old. They did not take any care, stood it up and only wrapped in a blanket. The statue was broken when they unwrapped the blanket. With the exception of one mover, there was no apology or remorse by any of the staff. We were told to get estimates and they would reimburse us. The estimate is $2200 and Yolo Transfer grudgingly is paying $150. Beyond the monetary discrepancy, the lack of care, apology or remorse make me very disappointed in this local business. Read More

We moved across town recently. I specifically showed the head mover our antique plaster statue which has been in my family for 3 generations. They did not box it, only stood it up wrapped in a blanket and it was broken on arrival. With the exception of one mover there has been no apology, interest or remorse. We were told to get estimates and we found someone to repair for $2200. Yolo grudgingly is paying $150. We chose a local mover  to help business but are very disappointed in every aspect of Yolo Transfer. Terrible experience and service. Read More

Well what can I say but mike and mike are bloody fantastic. We had a huge rusty water fountain to move, not only was it awkward to move as it was rusted to the base but it weighted a ton. They kept us informed all along the process and delivered it promptly, efficiently and with great care. When I called Yolo Transfer,they where helpful,understanding and a joy to work with. I have used this company twice. The first time was back in 2014 which was a great experience moving from one house in Vacaville to another house in Vacaville. However I cannot say the same of our latest move in September of this year 2017. We moved from a home in Vacaville, Yolo Transfer stored the contents of our home for approximately 1 month, then moved it to our new home in Fairfield. They lost the top of our outdoor table and damaged a one of a kind oil painting. The wheel from our artificial Christmas tree was broken off and a few of our boxes were severely damaged. Luckily the contents of those boxes weren't damaged as they were children's books. Our bar was also scratched during the move. When we brought these issues to Yolo Transfer they sent us a claim with no explanation. We completed the form and returned it. About a month later we received a check in the mail with nothing but final settlement. The amount of the check didn't even cover the tabletop they lost. When we called Yolo Transfer we were told that there coverage for lost or damaged items is 60 cents per pound. If you choose to use Yolo Transfer I would highly recommend purchasing additional insurance as you will likely need it as they did not take proper care when moving/storing the contents of our home. We will not be using them for any future moves. We were extremely disappointed. Read More
