So this guys were blocking 5 cars in a moving in my building today! I call their company to have them move the truck so I can make it to a musical class on time and the person in the phone was completely careless, hang up on me twice and said multiple times that there was nothing she could do that she was not driving the truck and that she has called operations already, several people from my building started helping me locate the apartment where they were working and when I make my way there guys where just packaging stuff like they were never told they needed to move the truck! Our experience working with Two Men and a Truck was amazing. We had a very last minute move, found out about our move Monday morning, called that day and we were able to reserve a time slot for Friday morning. Jose was helpful with setting everything up and was very thorough in his explanations. Our 4 movers, Murphy, Kavin, Van and Isaac, were all-stars and I can't say enough good things about them. They were all friendly, polite, kind, extremely quick but careful with all of our furniture and belongings, very communicative throughout the whole day and went above and beyond to help us. They even moved all of the small items for us that we were planning to move ourselves. I would recommend them to anyone and will be requesting them again the next time I need movers. Read More

Don't normally write too many reviews but I had to for this company. Please STAY AWAY! I probably had the smallest move ever and reserved a 2 hour minimum because the only furniture that needed to be moved were a bed, two nightstands, a dresser, and a computer desk. I had sold my couch, tv stand, rug, coffee table and dining table. I moved my tv to the house earlier myself. So they only had to move some bedroom items and a computer desk with a couple of smaller items like some floor lamps, a mirror, and a bird scooter, with two boxes of bedding. I was moving out of high-rise condo downtown and the moving coordinator at the building agreed this should be one of the faster moves they've ever had because of the small number of items. My family has used professional moving services 4 times to relocate our family. This is our 2nd time using Two Men and a Truck and we have found them to be reliable in service and quality. For this move we used both the packing and moving service. As hard as it is to let others pack for you, it was a huge time saver. This was especially true in the kitchen where they made sure everything was securely packed. I was really impressed by the moving team (Carlos, Eric, Clinton, Ques). They worked with consistent pace, protected our items, and were courteous and helpful at every turn. Loved my experience with Two Men and a Truck! Initially it wasn't that great as at the beginning of August I hired them to move all of my belongings to a storage unit while I temporarily moved back in with family. Three movers came to move all of my items and took longer than what the lead mover estimated by a lot. I did my best to be patient as it's a pandemic and times are hard. I had to return to work and my step-mom waited in the car at the storage unit as the movers packed my things into the storage unit. As my parents had had a previous positive experience with the company, we trusted they would be careful with my things. I was unable to return to the storage unit until October to grab some decorations for Halloween. I was really sad and frustrated to see the way the initial movers packed my boxes and other items as I struggled to even open the storage doors since boxes and items had fallen towards the doors, several pieces of furniture were broken, and they stacked boxes in a way that the cardboard was caving in including my boxes clearly labeled fragile. Although I was frustrated as my items were clearly not handled with care, I decided to give the company an opportunity to repair since at the end of the day it is just "stuff" and during this pandemic there are much more grave and urgent things happening in the world. I took pictures and reached out to management in hopes to find a mutual agreement that made sense. After talking with Enrique Alvarez, he organized for two new people to come out, re-organize the storage unit, and assess all the damage free of charge. The two men Carlos and Lowrell came out and did an amazing job! They were so quick, efficient and careful with my items. They did a great job re-organizing the entire storage unit!! I was so appreciative of their help and skills. They were also just enjoyable to interact with as they had a great sense of humor and understanding of the situation. I was so grateful they were willing to come fix the initial problem. At the end of the day we all make mistakes and what matters is how we handle them. Would def hire 2 men and a truck again :D Read More

Loved that they were wearing masks and gloves!The service was great for packing and those guys were prepared with gloves. You do have to specifically tell them to pack misc items. I've used other moving companies in the past so I have a comparator. However, the movers while they were focused, professional and were kind - the results unfortunately left me with a bad experience. While most items were not damaged, I would not recommend this company. Maybe additional training may be needed in moving delicate items. There was an overcharge - not sure how but the office immediately found it - the clerical error and reversed it. If that was it I would have given 4 stars. Then upon the movers leaving I noticed the trash can was very damaged. And while the gentleman tried to fix it by pushing out the dents, it couldn't be fixed and so I knew I would have to make a claim. If it was just that - I would still have given 4 stars, these things can happen. However, it was when I plugged in my television that I saw the screen was damaged. Who knows how they handled it before they placed my flat screen TV face down on my couch and were planning to just leave it that way until I asked if he would place it face up on my entertainment center. Doesn't end there - then after they left, I noticed the legs on both my end table and coffee table were broken and damaged. So I go through the process of getting reimbursed and they did not offer reimbursement to get the similar model but that's to be expected I suppose. Same with the trash can and the end table. Unfortunately they completely left out the center table so I have to go through this again. There was also scratches on a lamp and dents on a wall. Each Not terrible on their own but all of this added together drives me to give 2 stars. Overall it's made it an onerous and difficult experience and I can not recommend this company. Read More

The experience that I had with two men and truck was disgusting. My mother spent 18 years in the Navy and was let out on early retirement due to disabilities that she had incurred in her service. She is 60 years old and can barely walk most days. She has Lupus, Fibromyalgia, Osteoarthritis and two blown out knees. The day started out with the movers arriving about ten minutes after eight AM. We were getting our dogs ready to go to the groomers, primarily so they wouldn't be in the movers way all day. Ten minutes after they arrived we had the dogs loaded in the car and I was ready for the walkthrough to show them what they needed to do (why are you doing a walkthrough the day of?!) We have A LOT of stuff. Before the movers came, we spent hours a day for over a month packing our things in boxes to make it easier for these guys come moving day. All they had to do was take the boxes down to the truck and move about 12 pieces of furniture. Everything seemed to be going okay until I showed them my disabled mothers room. She has a king sized bed which sits between two 6' towers and those towers connect to a floating bridge above the bed. The ONLY thing holding the bridge is two L brackets that are held in place buy two small lag bolts. My mother had called this generic company two weeks in advance to let them know that the bed need to be disassembled by two people. When they seen the bed I could see the overwhelming looks on their faces. I jumped in and told them that if they needed my help then i would undo the brackets while they held up the bridge. They said okay (here's where this gets to be completely unacceptable and I'm blown away by this) and they walked outside to what I presumed would be them gathering blankets, a dolly, etc. An hour passed. An hour and a half passed. My mother came busting through the door saying "Where are the movers!?" I hadn't a clue. I was busy cleaning and gathering knick-knacks. These guys LEFT!! They straight up LEFT without saying a word. No knock at the door saying they couldn't handle the job, no phone....nothing. My mother tried calling the guy Cory on his cell phone and this guy had the audacity to BLOCK HER NUMBER!!! I immediately contacted the corporate office and talked to an extremely rude Giselle. I asked what happened and THESE liars told their manager that we cussed at them!!!!! Okay people, why on God's green earth would I cuss AT someone who is handling tens of thousands of dollars of my furniture or someone I've invited into my home?? They were their to provide a service and I was actually going to offer them a sandwich and something to drink while they worked when they came upstairs. I never got the chance. After letting Giselle know about her employees, I was even willing to reschedule with different guys and she told me that they wouldn't be servicing us again. They never provided anything remotely close to service to begin with. I was in shock. I told her nobody cursed at these pretend movers and she said they wouldn't service us again because we cussed at them. Basically calling me a liar without actually saying so. This lady never even called our house to get the CUSTOMERS side of the story. There was no story to be had but still. Customer service people...customer service. It's a God send that we aren't required to be out of our apartment until July 6, but what if we had to be out by tomorrow or even Sunday?? These people left a disabled veteran that served our country and served in Desert Storm to her own devices without the health or the strength to move anything herself. She can't even walk to the mailbox without her knees giving out and this inhumane poor excuse for a company left without notice and made up lies to excuse their leaving our house so that they could cover their ass with their manager. My sister and I had to move today from a one story home to a three story townhouse, we are so grateful for two men and a truck. We had three wonderful gentlemen help us today, David, Yani, and Brad. They were so polite. Took extra care to not damage our floors and walls and exceeded our expectations in packing and organization. We had a complicated move as we were splitting belongings between two home and they took extra care to ensure they only took what was to go to our new home. Our stairway was very awkward and small and they tried multiple times in multiple ways to get our couch upstairs. Unfortunately it would not work and all three of them apologized to both my sister and myself individually even though it was by no means their fault. I would highly advise anyone using this company to not use them as I encountered a situation with 2 drivers recently. San Diego in some areas are hard to deal with as far as traffic and parking and I understand that. Living by the beach especially gets frustrating but I've always had other truck companies be kind and know they may be blocking resident area and asked kindly to move they do with out complaint. Well not the gentlemen I encountered On June 7th 2017 with two men and truck. Upon coming home the truck was blocking my ally that I pull into to park my car in my garage. There are several homes with garage parking that use this ally. There was a clear spot infront of him to which he could've moved up to to at least give some room for residents. I honked my horn (as I could not get out with the traffic) with my window down to ask him to please move up. He completely ignored me while mouthing "I can't hear you" rolling he eyes and shaking his head deliberately. I honked 2 more times before I decided I would risk my car and drive on to the side walk as he was holding up traffic as I couldn't go anywhere. I took a photo of the trucks license plate as there was a number to contact for "how's my driving". I parked my car and as I got into the ally and called the company this driver got out and said "there's the number go ahead and call". Another resident came down the ally to leave and honked his horn while I was on hold and I let him know the drivers refused to move the truck. He also went over the side walk with his car (much shorter then mine) and engaged in a debate to the passenger worker. The woman I talked to asked for the plate number and i gave it to her. She also said she was passing along the info and someone would call me back. Of course this never happened so I doubt anything was done about it. It would be nice to know these gentlemen where at least talked to about resident curtesy and if your business is run in a metropolitan/beach area with her parking and you must block a residents garage or ally way then someone stays in the car so they can move to accommodate. I was not a customer and NEVER will be I can't imagine how they treat customers when they hire people who just don't care. If the company cares to respond after reading this I still have a photo of the truck in question with a date and time stamp. But I won't hold my breath. Read More

DON'T HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!! I sort of pride myself on being the person who writes only good reviews, as people tend to complain or talk only when it's really bad. In this case, I felt the need to write the bad review to warn other customers. I'll spare the details but everything went wrong on this move. They admittedly screwed up our move date so they were 6 hours late starting to move us when we had to be out for our new buyers that day. A 2 bed 2 bath condo took 7 hours...This wasn't because of all the stuff we had but because they were soooo slooowww! They broke a $100 glass lamp shade off completely and broke the whole glass side of my great grandmother's china closet I had been inherited. The total we signed for at 10 PM that night was not the total we were charged- we were charged $278 over what we were told and signed for. The "Manager" in an email (not a phone call or apologize call) offered $40 for the damaged items. What a joke. Go elsewhere, and at least your things will be in one piece when you get to your next home! SO disappointed and felt like we were more than understanding until we were forced to be jerks in order to get our money back they overcharged us, and our things replaced they broke! The only semi-positive feedback I can give is to the original booking process and availability; we needed service the next day and they were available. Everything else from there was a completely disaster and disappointment. We needed to move due to an issue with our apartment. We were displaced for weeks and unable to pack at all before moving. When I booked, I informed the sales representative of the need for packers. I explained the contents of our 1-bedroom apartment and explained we were only moving to another apartment within the complex, she assured us that we would be fine with 2 movers. The movers arrived at 8:30am, however our use time started at 7:45am. They charge from when they leave their office until they return back- but it should not take more than 15-20 minutes to drive the 8 miles they did. Having hired several other movers for the same amount of belongings, we calculated that it should take around 2 hours plus 1 hour for packing. It was clear the movers were young and inexperienced and used no equipment to assist them (dollies, carts, straps etc) and appeared to basically walk items in by the armful. It took them 7.25 hours (with a 45 minute break in between) in total, plus the cost of packing (which I will comment on below) and taxes, bringing the total over $940. $940+ for a 1-bedroom apartment move within the same complex!! Even worse than the outrageous amount of time they took to move our apartment, our belongings were literally thrown into boxes and completely unprotected. I was present at the time of move and found them placing the couch and cushions unprotected in the moving truck and starting to move my mattress unprotected, so I confronted them and requested that they wrap everything going forward (which I would assume to be standard operations). They then asked if I would sign a form releasing liability so they didn't have to wrap my furniture, which I declined. Even after this, they did not wrap or protect items like televisions or chairs etc. After we began to unpack at our new apartment, we realized the extent of their absolute disregard for our belongings and how damaged items were. For instance, they moved our TV stand with DVDs, books and other décor unsecured inside that was completely thrown around and broken. Some boxes cross contaminated kitchenware and delicate paintings with cleaning supplies thrown on top, jewelry loosely tossed into boxes, décor piled into a laundry basket. Most boxes were ¼ to half full, even though we were getting charged for packing material and per box. Photos show how we found our items, leaving us with over $500 in extra damage & items that need to be replaced on top of the $940 bill we already paid for this terrible service. We reported the incident management the same day and sent them photos to showcase the issues. It took over 2 weeks pushing us from employee to employee before they attempted to resolve the issue. They offered next to nothing to compensate for the damaged items and nothing at all to reimbursement for ¬the extra costs (in time or materials) due to their employee's lag & neglect. I would never recommend this company and advise anyone to find another moving company in San Diego. There are a lot of them that will work at a professional pace and protect their customer's personal property, or at the very least take care of their customers in the case of neglect by their employees. They claim to have sent be the property coverage options before my move and that I selected the lowest level of "valuation", but I had already proved to them that was not true and I was not sent anything. Everything else from there was a completely disaster and disappointment. We needed to move due to an issue with our apartment. We were displaced for weeks and unable to pack at all before moving. When I booked, I informed the sales representative of the need for packers. I explained the contents of our 1-bedroom apartment and explained we were only moving to another apartment within the complex, she assured us that we would be fine with 2 movers. The movers arrived at 8:30am, however our use time started at 7:45am. They charge from when they leave their office until they return back- but it should not take more than 15-20 minutes to drive the 8 miles they did. Having hired several other movers for the same amount of belongings, we calculated that it should take around 2 hours plus 1 hour for packing. It was clear the movers were young and inexperienced and used no equipment to assist them (dollies, carts, straps etc) and appeared to basically walk items in by the armful. It took them 7.25 hours (with a 45 minute break in between) in total, plus the cost of packing (which I will comment on below) and taxes, bringing the total over $940. $940+ for a 1-bedroom apartment move within the same complex!! Even worse than the outrageous amount of time they took to move our apartment, our belongings were literally thrown into boxes and completely unprotected. I was present at the time of move and found them placing the couch and cushions unprotected in the moving truck and starting to move my mattress unprotected, so I confronted them and requested that they wrap everything going forward (which I would assume to be standard operations). They then asked if I would sign a form releasing liability so they didn't have to wrap my furniture, which I declined. Even after this, they did not wrap or protect items like televisions or chairs etc. After we began to unpack at our new apartment, we realized the extent of their absolute disregard for our belongings and how damaged items were. For instance, they moved our TV stand with DVDs, books and other décor unsecured inside that was completely thrown around and broken. Some boxes cross contaminated kitchenware and delicate paintings with cleaning supplies thrown on top, jewelry loosely tossed into boxes, décor piled into a laundry basket. Most boxes were ¼ to half full, even though we were getting charged for packing material and per box. Photos show how we found our items, leaving us with over $500 in extra damage & items that need to be replaced on top of the $940 bill we already paid for this terrible service. We reported the incident management the same day and sent them photos to showcase the issues. It took over 2 weeks pushing us from employee to employee before they attempted to resolve the issue. They offered next to nothing to compensate for the damaged items and nothing at all to reimbursement for ¬the extra costs (in time or materials) due to their employee's lag & neglect. I would never recommend this company and advise anyone to find another moving company in San Diego. There are a lot of them that will work at a professional pace and protect their customer's personal property, or at the very least take care of their customers in the case of neglect by their employees. So if I could give minus 5 stars I would. The aftermath was a disaster. They damaged so many things from tv to new nice washer and drier (not even working) chest of drawers baienese forniture 2 new kitchen trash cans that need to be trashed frames an healthy back $4000 chair my cat condos bookshelf crysstal tables mp3 playes etc etc. They moved it ? They broke it. Even one of the 2 garage shelves was broken, they broke a foot and to momentarily hide it, they placed the broken shelf in between the other shelf and a folded treadmill so it would stand and look ok. So when I emptied the front shelf and moved it the second shelf and all that was on it collapsed on me and it had heavy stuff so it hit badly my head and my arm I m beyond mad. If you have to hire these guys, and I strongly suggest you not to, you need the extra insurance. And a lot of luck. The one they have covers nothing. They caused around $20.000 worth of damage ( and this only because we got mainly new forniture that was delivered after the move ) and they will send us a $ 250 check !!! A joke Add on as I don't know how to reply to the biz reply : don't even dare to say my husband felt compensated. We felt there was NOTHING WE COULD DO since we didn't purchase ADDITIONAL INSURANCE thinking you guys were professionals.
