Do not hire this company and do not let Rodney Holmes ( picture below) or his brother G move you. The movers stole jewelry from me. I should have known something was up when Rodney did not want a tip. Who doesn't want a tip ? Someone who is stealing from you. I emailed the company, they told me the local rep would get back to me. Called them twice...crickets. I made a police report also. All I can say is shame on you. Stealing from and old disabled women. If anyone got jewelry from them contact police please. Read More

We were quoted $7,400-$8,300 for a 26' ft truck and two movers heading from SF to Seattle, moving a two bedroom apartment. After our facetime estimate/walkthrough, originally said to be optional and later told to be a "mandatory verification of goods" the offer price was 7,600. That's a lot of money honey! Or more accurately put them at squarely double our Mayflower estimate but, 4k less than our North American Van lines/another independent sf based company mover.
What was our logic in choosing them over Mayflower? Mayflower couldn't move us until after Christmas. Also, large van lines are split load trucks with a truck carrying more than one homes worth of goods. Any time you add the complexity of stuff with more than one owner in one truck you add the capacity for the wrong boxes to go with the wrong people. Having had boxes "go missing" on previous moves with different movers - for this move we felt more comfortable with the concept of loading 1 truck, 1 time, with the same two movers all the way through.
On loading day: They arrived on time for the company given ETA. We were sent two youngish dudes, Z and Roberto. This is relevant because they had enough energy to move stuff without complaining or getting too winded. Sometimes when moving you get crusty old dudes who are over life and would rather be getting drunk. So, this was a nice change. They arrived on time. They packed a balanced load. I didn't see them do any major damage to our property or the property. They didn't pack our boxes, so, I can't speak to their boxing capabilities. But, they were mostly very respectful of our previously made glass, fragile, "do not stack", etc markings.
On unloading day: They arrived early! Or started to. We informed Rob our elevator reservation didn't start until later but, then were accommodated by the building manager to get the key early. Roberto was the real star of unpacking and worked exceptionally hard. We only had one minor issue when Z I guess got sick of his mask first and opted to take it off prompting the building manager watching on the security cameras to come down and scream. Which set off a chain event of me having to beg the building manager not to kick the movers off the property. Which wasn't really the experience I needed as a capstone to a long move. But, the movers were otherwise very nice and did work really hard. So, I felt bad having to say anything about it at all. Both young guys seem to be really struggling with the pandemic in general, having lost other work opportunities so, what can one really say? Young guys will be young guys! All the same, masks on peeps! And the boys past the yelling point were great about staying masked.
To summarize: Better than some, worse than others. More expensive than some, less than others. One really hard working masked mover. One sometimes unmasked mover who seemed to be struggling with life but, overall did a solid job of the moving portion. An imperfect but necessary pandemic move.
Four stars overall. It would have been five in the absence of the mask issue. It's five for spirit. Four for implementation. A solid move as these things go! If you get this crew you're in good hands but, you may need to be firm with the young dudes about mask stuff. Read More

These clowns lost an entire crate of our furniture from August 1 - September 18. We found out that they had lost track of it in mid-September when I received someone else's crystal, children's ski clothes, children's toys, lawn furniture, and wedding pictures which were from near San Jose, California in Cape Girardeau, Missouri!!!
Earlier that summer we found out TM&aT were going to be WAY too expensive to complete our move we had Beacons will call our items at their warehouse. Apparently, there was no one there to monitor what was being taken, so an ENTIRE crate including a dining table, two piano keyboards within speakers and stands, a huge slate top cocktail table, a side table, AND an antique Estey pump organ were left on the dock. But was there ANY inventory control??? NO.
I had to alert them that they likely still had the items in California.
Okay. That's a pretty big mistake. Right??? But it can happen. We gave the other customers' items back IMMEDIATELY but then they saw NO sense of urgency to get our things to us. In fact Katherine Mercer Sitterding, who is is hands down, the worst "Customer Service Representative" I have EVER come across blamed US!!! She said if we had been there for the will call (during a pandemic) we would have been able to tell that we had not received ALL of our items which were packed away (I guess with our X-ray vision)!!!
Movers have two important responsibilities, they 1) move items and 2) keep track of inventory.
This company failed at BOTH!
It took TWO MONTHS of Katherine Mercer Sitterding holding our pieces HOSTAGE before they finally sent ONE man and a truck -- I had to be the other man -- to get our furniture to us, and that guy had driven all night through a.hurricane from Chattanooga. TN to San Antonio, Texas, picked up our items, turned around and drove back through the storm to Cape Girardeau, Missouri, dropped them off and returned to East Tennessee! (How is that EVEN safe???)
TM&aT had stored our things for several months. Since they had lost track of our items for 6 weeks and then took another two months of foot dragging to get our remaining pieces to us we asked for two months credit -- that seemed reasonable. Katherine Mercer Sitterding kept repeating the same lame reasoning ... that they had kept our errant items "safe" for us while they were missing!!! OMG!!! It was crazy making.
If you use this company, BEWARE!!! You'd be better off having ANY other company do it. The guys are nice enough but this ... woman ... is off the charts CRAZY and if you have a problem, it will be YOUR problem to deal with. Hopefully if you do you will at least have another customer as honest as we were who will return your items. Had I known it was going to have two months to resolve, I would have kept the other families things until our furniture arrived. We would have at least had something to bargain with.

They are the worst company to work with. Due to Covid I had packed everything and expected them to complete the move for a 1 bedroom apartment in 4 hours. They charged me for 7 hours for close to 900 dollars. They left behind 3 packed boxes, all my exercise weights, my shoe racks and anything that they felt according to their whims and fancies. I feel very cheated and would not recommend this company to anyone, I wish I could give them a one star review. They also lost my key fob which I now need to pay for. Please pack and wrap as if for a move. Please see the attached pictures. Items were not boxed, not bubble wrapped, not even placed in the POD correctly. Nightmare move**Most stressful and horrible experience ever** Don't use them!!!!!!
Moved out of State, was set up 1.5 months prior to move had 2 people come do home and item quotes and evaluation of everything. Was advised no worries we are profesionals and all your items will be moved and ok and in 1 truck.
DAY 1 Truck was supposed to arrive between 8:30/9:30 a.m
* Called several times when it didnt was told they are working on getting there and finding loaders and drivers they were having issues!! Mind you this move set up 1.5 months prior for out of State move! We had to be out of our house on on road for our family and animals to drive 8.5 hrs to new place by 1:00 that day, but couldnt until they got there . Had to have family and realtor come supervise and lock up because they were 7 hours late, showed up 3:30 p.m to drive 8.5 hours out of state. Guess whay happened the truck didn't leave that day like we were advised my Matt the office manager would. In meantime im getting calls from driver and loader, sorry a desk got broken when trying to move it and dont think we can get everything in truck looks like need another truck!!! After i said hell no we were told 1 truck was needed and all would fit no problem loaders "rearranged and re loaded to fit items we were promised would only need 1 truck for since we sold half our furniture. They ended up fitting almost everything, had to leave a large wooden hutch they said they couldnt get out of room which i was advised in begining by an evaluator who came to look said "movers can get out shouldnt be an issue"and a basketball hoop eas left behind in a home that we could now do nothing about items left since we were already driving out of state!. So broke a desk, and never packed two other items.
DAY 2 New driver new unloaders, showed up at 6:30 p.m because company didn't have truck leave on day 1 because of their time and company issues and mess up that day. Poor new guys hear my nightmare experience and open truck and
***** the truck looked like my kids and i threw all our stuff in and drove it out! Bikes thrown on top of my nice wood furniture that they didnt cover, items thrown in and dumped upside down lots of wood damage to funiture and holes in items and even in a large canvas photo they didnt wrap. Needless to say after these poor two young kids got stuck with this mess they unloaded from 6:30p.m-1:30a.m. in the morning mind you almost every piece of our furniture was damaged!!!!

In meantime im getting calls from driver and loader, sorry a desk got broken when trying to move it and dont think we can get everything in truck looks like need another truck!!! After i said hell no we were told 1 truck was needed and all would fit no problem loaders "rearranged and re loaded to fit items we were promised would only need 1 truck for since we sold half our furniture. They ended up fitting almost everything, had to leave a large wooden hutch they said they couldnt get out of room which i was advised in begining by an evaluator who came to look said "movers can get out shouldnt be an issue"and a basketball hoop eas left behind in a home that we could now do nothing about items left since we were already driving out of state!. So broke a desk, and never packed two other items.
DAY 2 New driver new unloaders, showed up at 6:30 p.m because company didn't have truck leave on day 1 because of their time and company issues and mess up that day. Poor new guys hear my nightmare experience and open truck and
***** the truck looked like my kids and i threw all our stuff in and drove it out! Bikes thrown on top of my nice wood furniture that they didnt cover, items thrown in and dumped upside down lots of wood damage to funiture and holes in items and even in a large canvas photo they didnt wrap. Needless to say after these poor two young kids got stuck with this mess they unloaded from 6:30p.m-1:30a.m. in the morning mind you almost every piece of our furniture was damaged!!!!

No way this outfit should receive one star but that is the least I can give them. I went with these guys because they were recommended to me by my boyfriends "friends". I called told them my moving details and set up the move. The morning of the move, they sent me two movers and a truck. One, I guess, was training the other novice. The move was a bit complicated, but I did talk to Sean in the office several times regarding what was to be moved and how many stops were required (3). When they got there (an hour late) the "expert" walked through my apartment and said "I hope we can get all your stuff on the truck". He told me the inventory he had was not what I had in the place. I went over inventory about 3 times with Sean but I became worried. They started the move and basically took 10 hours, yes 10 hours, to move just my two bedroom place. He refused to move certain things like furniture with glass??? And I basically had to load my car up and make 6 trips myself of the things he refused to move or put on the truck. After about the 6th hour I called the office and was freaking out since they didn't even get to the second stop yet and my place was maybe half packed up. I did all the packing myself everything was boxed and ready to go. Sean in the office told me to not worry about clothes in dressers and drawers as they wrap it up. When the movers looked in my dresser he told me he can't move it because it was full of clothes ???? After about three calls to the office, they did send another guy to help but still 10 hours later they finally finished (and about 6 calls to the office asking why this is taking so long) my place, the truck was full (in their eyes), in mine they didn't pack it smart and there was at least a 4 foot space on top of the truck. Anyway, they had to drive 20 miles to my new place and unload then come back to pack up my boyfriend place. In the beginning, Sean estimated about $800 for this move. Since the movers took 16 hours to pack up two places (my third stop was just forgotten completely) it was over $1800!!!!
I do believe this company scammed me, taking three guys over ten hours to pack a two bedroom apartment is crazy and since they are paid by the hour it adds up. They took their sweet time packing my place but when it came to my boyfriends place and close to their quit time of 16 hours they loaded it up in 2 hours. Mmmm, sounds fishy right!!! Let's get to damages, they damaged several, about 7 pieces of furniture, I understand a few damages are going to happen but they were just careless. For example, I have about a 400 lb armoire that should have been placed in the heavy furniture dolly, but these guys just dragged it and tipped it over on the pavement to get it in the truck. Basically damaging the feet of it. I got the basic insurance for my items, of course this was signed at beginning of move, which means damages are at $.60 per pound. I calculated around $600 for all the damages, but they are sending me $350. Don't get me started on how I had to contact corporate just because I was ignored for month regarding the damages.
