Upon completing the form about my move I received a phone call telling me about a link to video each room. Once I did that, I received a text message to call the sales person for the quote. Don't know why he couldn't call me, but whatever. In the form and on the video, I told them about a 1,000 lb motorcycle life we needed moved. No problem he said.
Fast forward to moving day. Three days before we called to confirm that everything was on track. The guys show up Thursday morning and start loading their truck. During the middle of moving, I received a phone call from David telling me they couldn't move the motorcycle lift. They can't lift anything over 1,000 lbs. Of course, I did not take this well, because not only was it in the video, we discussed it with Victor before hand and made sure he understood. Not only were they not gonna move it, initially they weren't even going to deduct anything for not moving it! The whole thing was ridiculously because although it is very heavy, it is also on rollers. My husband rolled it into our trailer, with not issues.
The movers were great, hard working and friendly guys. My only complaint with them is that when they packed the TVs, they did not include any of the cords.

When David called and changed the terms of the contract, he and my husband agreed that because they wouldn't move there motorcycle lift power the quote, that he would return money to us to make our total an even $5,000. And he would recall one of the workers so we'd have 3 instead of 4. We had 4 for the job and I just figured one was along for the ride with his buddies. No matter, because we agreed to 3. Not my problem that 4 were there.
Also, right before we moved, we had the dining room hand-scraped hardwood floors re-done completely due to water damage. The movers damaged the floor. A deep scratch. Now, no one at Two Men and a Truck will return our calls.
Do not do business with Two Men and a Truck. They make a lot of promises, but don't deliver. They don't return phone calls. I honestly can't believe how bad they are at communication. I really wish I had just cancelled them once they reneged on the initial contract. Read More

I recently booked my second move with TM (and I booked them for my mom's move several years ago as well) because I was pleased with their prior service. I mean, moving is never fun, something always gets broken, movers are late, yadda yadda but they were always fast and professional.
This time however was not a great experience. They charge $159 flat fee plus $159 an hour. I knew I was paying more than quoted by other movers but, again, I was going with my past experiences. I was told they would wear masks while moving. They showed up at my door without them and I asked them to put them on. While they were polite about it, i could tell they weren't happy and it took them a while to find them so I know they aren't wearing them regularly. The 3 men were polite, funny, and did a great job wrapping and moving my items to the truck. However when it came to unloading they ditched the masks, and many of my boxes were delivered upside down. I have a lot of art supplies and sewing machines and my main sewing machine was upside down despite the top being clearly marked.
But my main issue is with a wood convertable loveseat that they damaged. They wrapped it up well but they clearly rammed it into something and popped the top of the corner off. This piece houses the metal rod that swings up and out to convert this into a sleeper and now that mechanism is compromised. There's no way when they unwrapped the sofa that they didn't know they had broken it. When I saw the broken piece, it had been placed back in its spot but fell off when I reached down to touch what looked like a scratch.
So I contacted the company and made a report. A few days later a man called and said "hi, I'm Greg (I think that was his name), I'm coming over to fix your sofa and I need your address.". I hadn't spoken to anyone from TM since I made the report. No one discussed with me any options. I hadn't been told anyone was going to contact me and I wasn't giving a 3rd party vendor my info without talking to TM first. So, some phone calls and email later, another person from TM calls and explains that the vendor is really great at fixing things like this and let's just give it a try. Ok. So immediately a DIFFERENT vendor gets in touch. We have convos back and forth. I texted him photos, he says he can fix it but it'll need pins and glue because of the nature of the piece. Ok. He says I'll fit you in Monday or Tuesday. Ok. Never heard from him. Weds I get another call from the company saying they're offering me $150 because there's a $250 deductible and that's the max they can do. I say I thought someone was going to fix it? I'm then told the vendor said it can't be fixed. ?? Ok. And then I'm told I "didn't seem open to having it fixed". Not true at all. I was happy to let them try. It seems there was a lot of confusion about conversations and the people at TM weren't communicating on this. So in frustration I said "just send me the check". In hindsight it seems very clear the fix was going to cost more than they wanted to pay. I should have insisted or held out for the total cost to replace the sofa because it's unsafe to use it for the reason I got it to begin with.
NEVER. AGAIN. Lost a customer. I hope the $150 was worth it.
