Stay away!!! This has to be one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever been through. I clearly explained to them that I was moving from Houston to DC and needed this move to be as fast and smooth as possible. I told them I had limited funds and needed an exact quote because of the sudden move back to DC because my sister had just passed away and things would be easier for my mom if I were back in the area. They made so many promises and didn’t deliver. Pick up went well on May 23, 2022. I knew exactly how many boxes I had packed and what pieces of furniture I was taking which was about 700 CU. They came on a “shuttle truck” and then were to move my items onto a bigger truck. I understand and knew all this concept because a year prior with a different moving company I did the same from DC to Houston. I told them in my new apartment I lived on the 9th floor and that they would need to use the freight elevator and that they had a loading dock. They didn’t think to mention that they didn’t include a shuttle at drop off, so I just got charged an extra $600 at drop off. They picked up on May 23 and were supposed to drop off May 30th. I didn’t get my stuff until July 7th. On top of that half if not all my items arrived damaged they stacked my TVs flat on top of each other and stacked things on top of things that were labeled fragile. Don’t work with Sal he is a liar and this company does not care about their customers. They say anything over 1000 miles that they legally have 45 business days to drop off so even though we agreed for the 30th of May, that they didn’t go over the 45 business days. Please read your contracts they love to find loopholes to not discount you their mistakes. Also drop off was a 3rd party and not Transit Moving Systems. Once I’ve unpacked my stuff I’ll show y’all the rest of the damages. I do not recommend them at all for long distance moves!!! Read More

We feel like what we were sold by the salesperson was not what we received. We have a complete list of our house and items. The movers showed up late and then immediately said oh this is too much. After 9 hours, we were told they would have to come back the next day. Once again they were late and took another 5 hours. The main guy seemed to know what he was doing, however, his help seemed to have absolutely no experience moving at all. No pads were put down before moving things across our hardwood floor, including dragging our washer and dryer on our wood floor. All our things were put on a short haul truck to be taken to a warehouse to be put on an 18 wheeler, even though we were told multiple times we would have the actual moving truck. Our 64 inch TV did not get loaded from the warehouse to actual moving truck. It took over a month for us to get the tv. We had to make multiple calls from multiple numbers as our numbers were blocked in order for them to finally tell us they would fedex the TV. We never received confirmation or information from Transit, but rather we got a fed ex notification. TV arrived packed in the materials they had packed it in for the move, it was not packed for shipping. It also reeked of cigarette smoke, we are a nonsmoking household. Once we unwrapped the tv it had multiple cracks all over the television. It is completely ruined. There are plenty of more issues. I would absolutely never use them again or recommend them for anyone. It was one of the worst and most stressful experiences. Pick up was okay. Delivery is when things fell apart. First, they passed off my belongings to another company. Driver arrived by himself claiming his "helpers" were 5 minutes behind him, and just started unloading boxes and leaving them in my carport. After an hour or so he then asks if I (single woman who lives alone) will drive him in my car to get food. Completely inappropriate. Over 2 hours later his "helpers" finally arrive. One other guy and a woman in a dress and sandals. At this point he and the male helper finish moving the furniture inside, while the woman unwraps everything. As soon as the furniture was inside the driver disappeared, leaving his helpers to finish everything. At this point it's late, so I start helping them because it's the only way I can think to get them out of my house. One of beds wouldn't fit where I had planned for it, so they had to leave it in the carport. Totally understandable, but they said they would leave it wrapped and standing so it wouldn't be damaged while I figured out what to do with it. But then they unwrapped it and dropped it in the middle of the carport, damaging the underside. To top it off, I paid for them to pack 2 mirrors and one arrived damaged, and somewhere in the process they lost 3 of my chairs. Definitely not the experience I was promised. Read More

I would definitely recommend this service if you're moving something from a two story house! I don't have stairs but I do have an attic which requires a ladder which can be a hassle. Loved that they showed up in a mask, safety is first. I was happy with their service. They were really respectful and safe. Considering all the move being last minute they made the job way easier helping out with almost everything that was the tough work. I will definitely have them in mind next time I move. Although I have a lot of super heavy furniture, they took it with an incredibly good attitude. 10/10 would recommend, they do a really good job, with great customer service! This was one of the best moving companies I've ever worked with! The entire crew had friendly and helpful personalities, they were about business, and they worked hard. I paid a higher price than any other company only because i was hoping that these people will do a great job based on their reputation and their online stars . Now i have to give them this credit,Time wise they were accurate . However , they called me a day before arriving and requested me to be available the whole day the day after, without knowing what time they will be arriving here.Now considering i have to book the loading dock in advance in my building and only for few hours , i managed to get a 2-5pm slot available. the driver gets here that day at 12 pm and expected the loading dock to be available and they even tried to charge me more for the wait but they were unsuccessful. after unloading the items , i realized my PS3 was missing My bar was broken , my TV Had two black lines across the full screen , my recliner was broken . While communicating with them , they weren't as nice as when i was calling to book them for the move. One of the agents has litterally hung up the phone on me when i told her she should make an effort and inquire if my lost item has been left in the warehouse or the truck . All they had to tell me is to claim it and there is nothing they can do about it . They didn't even try to inquire or find the missing item ,perhaps (stolen ). the claim gets done with a complete different Party , an insurance company that will reimburse 0,6 cent per LB . SO, it doesn't matter how valuable your item is or even if it has been stolen , you only getting almost half a dollar per LB for that item weight, depends how heavy it is. Not to forget that this process will take between 90-120 days . I would recommend anyone using a moving company to purchase a full value insurance .
