Our military move was set up through TMM and was an absolute disaster from start to finish. TMM does not care out the service members they are serving or the belongings we entrust to them. The main issues with the claim fall into three categories:
1) TMM focuses on delaying any payout and building frustration to push service members to settle for anything instead of getting what they are truly owed. I tried multiple times to have a conversation about what was needed to substantiate my claim and was never told clearly. The requirements just changed with each round of correspondence. I finally gave up when information I provided was being ignored which was endorsed by the Claims Director and VP according to the email I received.
2) TMM unjustly devalues your belongings to minimize their liability. They look at any item you have and find the cheapest thing that may looks similar and offer you a fraction of that value. Two examples, I had a custom made sailboat model and they provided replacement value for a cheap toy. I had a specific tool (model provided to TMM) and they offered replacement value for the cheaper model. For custom made table that the contracted movers put screws through the top, they refused to acknowledge to provide a guarantee that the item would be restored to the original condition and value.
3) They have no respect for anyone's time. Multiple of their settlement offers expect me to go around and buy replacement hardware and install it at no cost to them. If a piece of furniture was shipped with all the hardware, it should be delivered the same way. I should not be responsible for buying parts or coordinating repairs for a full service move.
For a move with FULL REPLACEMENT INSURANCE, I am being left with multiple damaged items and all the onus on my to deal with it. Please do bother to thank a servicemember for their service, because by the way you treat them it is clear you are not sincere. Read More

Very bad experience. a lot of my things were damaged and lost. Packers did not label things that were lost properly and the company is not compensating my for the things that were lot or broken accordingly. Read More

I've had some bad moving experiences but this company by far makes it this move the most inconvenient. They continually lack any information on where my HHG are. Communication is at the bottom of their priority list as we've had to call them on numerous "delivery dates" only to find out it wasn't being delivered. The customer service is extremely poor, and don't try calling as soon as they open at 8 am, they don't answer and it ends the call after 15 minutes. This has been a miserable experience. I once made contact with a driver and scheduled my delivery date, only for him to drop of the face of the planet and stop answering any calls. Read More

Moved from Florida to Washington state recently and I am definitely NOT HAPPY after receiving my HHG!
With this being our first major move, I made sure to pack and label everything with the hardware included…TMM movers decided “for liability reasons” to unpack everything and then proceed to repack it in their boxes.
Upon receiving my HHG, I noticed hardware is missing on 3 shelving units and my 65” television is broken!
This is exactly what I was trying to avoid when I packed my own belongings!!
Now me & my husband feel like we’re getting the run around because the site we were told to submit the claim on keeps sending error messages and we’re getting no help!
