We hired Tom's Marathon Movers for our move last week from a townhouse on crowded street to house across town. Dan, Vitelli (hope I spelled that right) and Noel were so great! They were fast and careful and had all of the supplies we needed (extra boxes, tape, blankets etc.) and they were able to wrap up furniture with that plastic wrap stuff faster and better than I could imagine! They must like what that do because they were all so pleasant! The move went smoothly. The rates are fair and well worth the expense. Money well spent, for sure! So you're scapegoating the elderly client even though the owner and movers knew a few hours after leaving the property that it was a mistake and the items needed to be returned? The movers were alerted immediately of the mistake and promised us they would return everything that same night but they didn't. Then they said they would return next day, but again they never showed up. They chose to turn a simple misunderstanding into theft. After a month of back and forth with the owner, they dumped *some* of our belongings, mostly camping equipment, in an alley and gave us the address where we could find it. Most of the missing items were still missing. Then the owner stopped answering calls from me, the other tenants, and the property owner. More than two years have passed and NOW they want to make things right? Are you serious? They took thousands of dollars worth of tools, car parts and a box of my deceased mother's belongings, which held no value to anyone but me. Those were just my things missing, not including all the other tenants stolen belongings. And again, they knew the SAME DAY to return everything. They even said they would. But they chose not to. No compensation is needed, why not just return everything that they took? Where did all of those items go? They're lucky the only consequence is a negative Yelp review. Read More
