I called Priceline Logistics for a move. I provided exact quantity and exact measurements. The quote was 353 cubic feet for $2735.65 with a deposit of $720. They stated the rest would have to be paid with a cashier check, cash, or by Zelle Venmo process. Priceline never mentioned that another company would come pick up. They made it seem like it was their own side doing the pick up and delivery. During the pick up date, AM MOVING SERVICES came in and right away the man said, this is a 500 cubic feet. He was able to measure my boxes and handful of items with his eyes. He said that he would need to use boxes as he could not ship my items either in the packaging I had. However, I told the customer service person on the phone and they had no issues with it. During their pickup process from AM Moving services, I called Priceline and customer service person Amanda said, no problems and it would be taking care of no worries. The cubic feet should not be an issue nor the extra charge of $800 for 12 boxes. She said I do not need to cancel. So I went forward with the move. 1. The original cubic feet given on the phone does not match what was charged. Over the phone 353 CUBIC FEET . $2735.65 There is an overcharge when it was picked up and AM Moving Services said $4424. $1688.35 overcharged AM Moving Services charged. Now they are not returning my calls. 2. The person that came said they used 12 boxes and charged me extra $800 which is an over charge amount. What materials would add up to $800 not the 12 boxes measuring at 18x18x27. I called Priceline several times, Amanda said don't cancel it will be figured out. Cathy said the people coming in give incorrect cubic feet. We will fix it. Now I am out of the overcharge fee along with missing items. I put in a dispute with my credit card and since I did that Priceline is stating they wont help me. I want my refund for the overcharge and return of my items or replacement or claim process. When I made the call, I hadn't completed packing, so I informed Jim that I wasn't yet sure of the final amount of boxes and wanted to wait until I had a final number. He assured me not to worry because my move was well under the 2,000lb limit and said I could just call back when I had the final number of boxes. He also assured me the price would not go up and never mentioned a word about cubic feet, nor did he mention that Priceline Logistics wouldn't be the company moving our stuff. Jim also assured me that he would be there "every step of the way", but I was not able to reach Jim. In fact, it took over two weeks before I was able to reach anyone because no one answered the phone, and no matter what number I called, the mailbox was always full. I did eventually get someone to respond to email and someone did eventually call me back, but I was then informed that the price would go up to 3,549 because I had more than 286 cubic feet with the additional boxes. I should have cancelled then, but I had already paid the deposit, which by this time was only 50% refundable as a credit toward a future move, so I agreed to the increase and was promised again that the price would not go up save 75 dollars for an extra set of stairs. I was given a three-day window for my move August 16-18th, however, I received a call from the driver of Moving Express, who had been hired to move my stuff, that Saturday (August 14th) informing us that they were coming the next day August 15th between 11-1 pm. When I stated that did not work for me, I was told that I had to accept that day because they could not come any other day that week. When they arrived a little after 3pm, I was told that I would need to pay another $1500 because I did not wrap the furniture I had in blankets so they would need to supply the blankets and wrap the furniture. They also said, there was a charge for every seven steps after the first seven stairs. Our unit was on the 3rd floor. When I told the driver that my contract stated every 15 steps and that the moving blankets were included in the price, the driver stated, "That contract is with Priceline and doesn't mean anything to us." I tried to call Priceline but they were closed, so I told them to forget it and that I would work with my credit card company to get the deposit back. They then came down on the price and asked for a $700 tip instead. I knew I was being taken advantage of, but given that I was not sure if I would get another mover by the time I had to vacate my home, not to mention I was risking losing my deposit, which was over 1,500, I agreed to pay the $700 tip. My stuff was shipped to a storage facility and when the driver called to provide me with a delivery date, he wanted even more money stating that he would need a shuttle truck. I had already confirmed with the storage company when I made the reservation that a semi truck would not be an issue. When I informed the driver of this, he did not believe me and asked me to call to confirm again. I did and got the same information, which I shared with the driver but he still did not believe me, so I told him that I was not paying for a shuttle truck when it wasn't necessary and that I would expect my stuff at the storage facility the following day as agreed. When he got to the storage company, he wanted an additional $50 because the unit was on the 2nd floor. When he was told that there was an elevator and that the additional fee only pertained to stairs, he agreed to bring the stuff to the unit but just piled our stuff in the unit with no organization. This company is a fraud!!! People hired from craigs list will show up instead. They don't take a countability for nothing once they have your money. They outsource to another moving Shady company called Smart Van Lines which is full of crooks.they were 3 days late for our pick up date-no apologies. We paid extra for a 4 wheeler and an antique 1974 Vespa primavera to be delivered. They said that it was going to be "crated and taken care of" this mouth breathers don't even know the value of such antiquity. When our stuff arrived they demanded the reminder of the payment in cash or money order. They would not lift the door of the truck not even for us to verify that was our stuff. When they lifted the door the Vespa was thrown like a piece of garbage buried with smashed boxes all around it. Almost every box I opened things were broken even though they had been meticulously wrapped with bubble wrap. Even a frying pan was bent! Our leather couches were all had tears! We had half of our stuff missing! The first boxes being off loaded weren't even ours!!!! Should I continue? Oh yes our sleep number bed was missing. Today Smart Van Lines is suppose to drop off the "reminder" of our stuff. We'll see I'm not holding my breath. The driver called me and was rude as hell. No one takes accountability Priceline blames Smart Van lines. Smart Van Lines tells us to call Priceline. They charged us over $10,000 of initial quote for a garbage service.
