We moved 2 weeks back and they broke our 50" inch Lg tv. Was asked file a form of Insurance and they company will give us $48 for our $550 tv. So 1 star is for your poor followup and terrible service. 1) I was charged me for wardrobe box which you said is included with packing materials and blankets. 2) The movers dropped the tv and broke it and none of you will answer my call? The insurance company will give us $48 for our $550 tv. 3) The 2 movers came unprepared so they had just 1 wheel cart, blankets and tape. No moving boxes or dolley or any sort of trolley to carry from my unit to elevator. 4) Atleast 5 times they walked from our apartment to the elevator without carrying a single thing in their hand and then turned a 3 hour moving I to 4:30 hours and they complained that the walk from our unit to the elevator was a lot. Frank as a moving company your job is not to convince me to pick you as movers, but also back it up with service. Your working hours are Mon-Fri. Me giving this company 2 stars was generous, and I only did that because the actual mover that came to assist me in the pick up and drop off(Ozzy) was so kind! HOWEVER, my experience with Pick Up Movers LLC was less than ideal. The best part of this entire ordeal was the price. With my move from Maryland to Atlanta, I tried to find other companies and they just didn't fit into my budget. Pick Up Movers were very cost effective, but this low cost does come with a serious PRICE. For starters, I had a delivery window of April 30-May 2nd for my items to be picked up. Not only were they LATE (the mover showed up on May 3rd and I had to reach out to THEM first to find out that they would be arriving late and why). Ozzy then came and was super cool with the pickup which settled my nerves, BUT he arrive LATE AND by himself! So he ended up taking the entire day on his own to just move the boxes I pre packed onto the moving truck(he claimed that his partner had gotten "sick" the night before arriving to help him move me). I was then given a date of May 7th for my stuff to be dropped off... another lie. I ended up receiving my items on May 9th(my birthday and mothers day) when I created a pickup window to AVOID having to move the day of my birthday and mothers day. And though they were late with the PICKUP and DROPOFF they expected full payment. At that point I was so frustrated and just happy/blessed to have made it safely to my new location that I paid the price prior to Ozzy bringing my items into my new apartment(he arrived ALONE once again... this time stating that his partner "quit" on him). HOWEVER it came out later in the day that not only had he LOST a leg to my couch(pictured here), but he also CRACKED my brand new 55" living room TV(also pictured here). Luckily my bedroom TV was not damaged in the move, BUT to date I have received NO compensation for my damaged items. They made me go through their claims process which can take up to 120 days to compensate me for both of my losses. Prior to knowing the extent of damages done to my items, I referred 2 friends to Pick Up Movers and ALSO yet to receive a rebate for that. They both have had less than ideal experiences with the company as well and will be more than likely making reviews in the future too to speak on their interaction. Bottom line I deserve money back!!! But i'm sure I won't receive it. Use this company at your own risk. Yes they're cheap, but you may end up paying for it in the end. Read More

They didn't arrive at the destination until 1030pm and said they needed to drop it off that night. They did not reassemble anything that they took apart as part of the packing process. They also left a huge mess of cardboard and plastic packing material on my patio. When I called to complain it only got worse. Frank, who sold the move to us, told me he would talk to his management team about our experience and get back to me... he never called me back. I finally got in touch with him again today for him to tell me that my wife asked his guys to leave all of the stuff there and to not assemble anything. If reliability, timeliness, communication and customer service are important to you as a consumer...DO NOT USE PICK UP MOVERS LLC. Our only point of contact was a guy named Frank who is apparently a "manager." He was very helpful and readily accessible before gaining our business, but once he had it the customer service was virtually non-existent. Frank would not pick up phone calls and only responded via text if he responded at all. Initially, Frank gave us a window for when the movers would arrive between Friday, November 15th and Saturday, November 16th. However, according to Frank, they would most likely arrive Friday morning. We made plans accordingly and took the time off work and the movers never showed up on Friday. We touched base with Frank on Saturday and he claimed they would arrive by 1:00 PM. The movers finally showed up at our home at 7:30 PM. They had driven all the way from Miami to Atlanta. It then took the two movers approximately 6 hours to move our furniture and boxes. We did not leave until well after 1:00 AM. My husband reached out to Frank and never received a response or apology. Fast forward to the movers delivering our furniture and possessions. Frank gave us a delivery date of Monday, December 16th. My husband reached out to Frank on the Friday prior asking for confirmation and time of the delivery. Frank said he would get back to us shortly. We never heard from him. My husband reached out again on Sunday asking for a specific time of delivery and Frank's response via text was "Yes, I believe so." My husband then asked for the final amount we owed upon delivery and if it was only payable by cash to which Frank responded, "Yes." No details, no answers to the questions we were actually asking. The movers never gave us any formal documentation for payment or details as to where our stuff was being stored. This whole experience, we have been left in the dark with no responses. I finally called Frank myself on Monday, December 16th. He did not answer the phone, but responded via text saying he would call me back in an hour once he got to the office. I then called the number listed on google for Pick Up Movers, LLC. That number must also go to Frank's cell phone because while on hold with the number I received a text from Frank saying, "I said I would call you when I get to the office." Please see attached screenshots of the following text messages between Frank and me. His lack of professionalism, irrational outbursts and refusal to pick up the telephone to call back his customer is unreal. I've never dealt with such an unprofessional "sales manager." Neither my husband nor I ever heard from Frank again even though we asked countless times for him or some type of management to contact us. We did not end up receiving our things until Monday, December 30th...14 days after Frank told us they would be delivered. Again, the movers arrived late in the day and were unpacking our things in the dark. I will say that the actual movers did a good job on both ends. It is a shame that Frank leaves such a bad impression to his customers and the movers then have to deal with it. Please do your research before using this company. SCAM ARTISTS. I cannot express to you how AWFUL this company is. They quoted us around $4k for the move and after loading the truck, doubled the amount to over $8k. I went through room by room and detailed all of the items in our home during the phone quote. The salesman, Frank, rushed me through the process, and now I understand why. He didn't plan to give me a real quote, this companies business is low-ball estimates followed by extortion. I called to discuss the situation with Frank who turned out to be the rudest person I have ever encountered in customer service. I had to ask not to interact with him via phone anymore as he was so hateful. He was screaming and yelling and name calling. Truly unbelievable. I was told we would have our items in about a week. First of all: They broke my $800 table and authorized a $60 reimbursement for it. I haven't gotten that $60 yet. TL;DR: My experience with this moving company was nothing short of absolutely HORRIBLE. Some of my items were broken and lost, the dispatcher and booking agent lied to me repeatedly, and the company in general was extremely unforthcoming with any information about delivery times and claims to reimburse the broken items. The long version: The company quoted me a price that seemed reasonable to move from Miami to St. Louis, and the booking agent, Pierre, told me this price was a great price for moves of this type, specifically mentioning that companies that charged less were not to be trusted. He told me my things would arrive in 5 to 10 business days. My co-worker who was also scheduling a cross country move at the time told me her movers charged her much less but gave her an estimate of up to 21 business days to deliver. I decided to go with Pick Up Movers and pay more because I wanted my things in a shorter time frame. Once my items were picked up, I waited and waited to hear from the company. I finally started calling and emailing to ask about the status of the delivery after about 8 business days had passed. NO ONE would return my calls or texts for several days, then Pierre started returning my calls and telling me that he had contacted dispatch and that they wouldn’t give him an answer. This went on for several days until someone named Laura gave me her number and told me she’d be in touch. She was not forthcoming with any information until I started contacting her multiple times per day. Finally she gave me a delivery estimate of a “couple of days out.” When I texted her a few days later to confirm, she could not (would not). Ultimately, I received my items on September 9th, when the company picked them up on August 18th. Once the movers did finally arrive, they ended up getting about half of my stuff locked in the elevator at my building because they tried to override the door closing functions of the elevator, which caused it to shut down. We had to wait about 16 hours for the elevator to start working again. I signed all the paperwork and paid them IN CASH before they started unloading (as it is their policy to receive payment before releasing the items, and they only accept cash or money orders). AFTER all of this they finally told me that they BROKE my glass coffee table. The movers provided me with the documentation that they had broken the table, along with the photos that they had taken to show their supervisors. I submitted this documentation and the accompanying photos to the claims company. Despite this, the company attempted to DENY my claim on the grounds that I needed to fully unwrap the table to prove that it was broken. Again, THE MOVERS are the ones who informed me the table was broken. THE MOVERS provided me with the photos of the broken table (still in packaging). THE MOVERS assured me I didn’t need to unwrap a box of broken glass in my apartment to prove that they had broken the table. I finally DID unwrap the box and resubmitted the claim. We’ll start with the movers showing up a day a a half late. I had to call to find out that their truck broke down. They came during evening hours to do my move with a truck that was too small. Makes a ton of promises but leaves you high and dry! Pickup Movers at first came in like a white knight saving the day. Offered me a solid price, and locked it in saying they would give us a dedicated truck. Their insurance coverage is horrible ( .60 cents per pound) and I had raised a concern about it. What hapless if my furniture or my flat screen was broken. Frank, the contact from Pickup that had given me the quote told me that I could use my insurance if something happens and that they have a better insurance ebut it's much more expensive and is through an outside agency. I had concerns regarding the safety of my belongings. Frank assured me that if something happened that they would work with me to resolve it and if say my TV was broken they would rather replace my TV than have any issues. When setting up the delivery I was told they would need up to 7 days. The delivery didn't come until 10 days after date to deliver causing me to have to sleep on an air mattress for a long time and I am a disabled Marine Corps Veteran with a spinal injury! To make matters worse they messaged me at the end of a day on a Friday that they we're coming that night or Saturday morning...knowing that I wouldn't have time to get the post office money order that they required. This left me in a precarious position. When the furniture was delivered they dropped my TV box and when It was opened the box hadn't been packed properly and my LED screen was completely destroyed. Instead of working with me as they had said they gave me the run around, avoided my calls, and offered me $30 for a $3000 television. I DO not recommend this company to anyone and honestly think they are nothing but scam artists. For all my fellow Veterans...dont go here they don't seem to care that you may be a disabled veteran and definitely don't care about working things out for the customer sake. Makes a ton of promises but leaves you high and dry! Pickup Movers at first came in like a white knight saving the day. Offered me a solid price, and locked it in saying they would give us a dedicated truck. Their insurance coverage is horrible ( .60 cents per pound) and I had raised a concern about it. What hapless if my furniture or my flat screen was broken. Frank, the contact from Pickup that had given me the quote told me that I could use my insurance if something happens and that they have a better insurance ebut it's much more expensive and is through an outside agency. I had concerns regarding the safety of my belongings. Frank assured me that if something happened that they would work with me to resolve it and if say my TV was broken they would rather replace my TV than have any issues. When setting up the delivery I was told they would need up to 7 days. The delivery didn't come until 10 days after date to deliver causing me to have to sleep on an air mattress for a long time and I am a disabled Marine Corps Veteran with a spinal injury!
