Ask for the Biggi crew if you want a painless, efficient, and enjoyable moving process! We rented a separate U-Pack (moving container) to ship our things from Hell's Kitchen to Texas. We needed movers to carry our furniture and boxes down 4 flights of stairs and into the container parked outside the apartment. The less space we use of the 14-inch container, the cheaper the cost. Through Biggi's diligence and brilliant Tetris skills, our things were placed tightly and vertically (see picture). At the end, we only used 6 inches of space, bringing our cost down from the original quote of $3,400 to $1,700. Biggi went above and beyond by helping us Tetris up the container in a way that saved the most bucks. Although our situation is unique, I have no doubt that the Biggi crew will approach each move with the same ingenuity and professionalism. Before booking Perfect Moving, I had requested a quote from several moving companies. John, the representative I spoke to on the phone, was knowledgeable and courteous. Perfect was the first to get back to me and offered the most affordable quote at $325 instead of the $500+ that we received from others. For reference, we have a 4-piece queen bedroom set, 2-seater couch, TV stand, dining table/chairs, coffee table, 14 large boxes, several vacuum sealed clothing bags, and some miscellaneous items. I cannot recommend Perfect Moving enough!! I've lived in NYC for 8 years and had a few terrible moving experiences ranging from companies that charged way more than the quote to crews that got angry with me about extra stuff and made me feel uncomfortable and pressured. To start: once I put my info into the website, Alexandra called me within a few hours and booked my move for a week out (which was a very tight timeline). Then she helpfed me adjust the move time AND the inventory list multiple times over the next few days without complaint. Next: Niti and the Perfect Moving team were absolutely lovely. The planned arrival time was 7-9am and they called me before to give me a status update on arrival time. They showed up promptly at 7:05am. Inventory/Extra Stuff: I didnt have a lot of time to pack and was expecting an angry arrival based on past experiences. They were understanding and went through the inventory with me, but said they could take extra if needed for an extra charge and didnt make me feel bad at all. They help do assembly/disassembly where needed and put blankets on bed/TV/etc. On arrival they were polite, re-assembled everything, asked where things went and also minded the rules of my new building which is pretty strict. Here's my long story about how Perfect Moving came to the rescue. My mother "thought" she booked another moving company for yesterday morning. Not being internet savvy, she made a mistake and the truck didn't show up. We had all taken the day off work to help my mom move so we were pretty desperate to find a moving company for the same day. By now it was almost 1pm. And it's the 28th of the month. We called so many places but, understandably, they gently laughed. Peter answered the phone at Perfect Moving, and with his calm voice I knew he'd be our knight in shining armor. He worked his magic, and somehow, at 5pm, Bob the Mover and his partner showed up ready to work. Bob is a beast who takes his job very seriously, but we made him crack a smile every now and then ;) The partner, whose name I didn't catch because he was mostly loading and unloading the truck, was a sweetheart. I am in awe of how quickly and skillfully they moved my mom's stuff. Not counting the drive to the new place, I think the move took about 3 hours (1BR first floor to a 1 BR, 3rd floor, with elevator). I will also mention that there was a heat advisory, and sweat dripped off of me while I sat there doing nothing, so I don't understand how Bob did all that back and forth without fainting. But, it absolutely is the right word choice in the case of Perfect Moving because our move from Queens to Manhattan was absolutely perfect and flawless on every possible level. I have very high expectations of people and places. And I did not expect our move to go as smoothly or incredibly well as it did. Honestly, I was a little apprehensive and nervous going into the morning of our move, despite taking weeks to choose a moving company, and really researching them. I even started analyzing all the top reviews on the Yelp pages of all the movers I was considering. What ultimately pushed me to choose Perfect Moving was the number of "elite" member Yelp reviews, as well as the number of reviews of Yelpers with substantial reviews and photos on their page. A few standout points: 1) Their rates and quote was more than reasonable and fair, especially compared to others. Very competitive. 2) Their rates are for the full job, not by the hour. 3) They were very (VERY) easy to communicate with, fast to respond to questions and continually in touch going into the move. In fact a day or two before, they reached out to not only confirm but to go over what to expect, to review all the items I said I was moving in case there were changes (and thus save us from any unexpected or costly day of added costs) and to see if I had any questions. 4) There was a genuine and honest desire to provide the best, stress-free (or as stress free as any move can be) and easy move as possible. 5) They followed all the COVID protocols to ensure a safe move. On the day of the move, the team leader of the Perfect Moving crew on our move was Rush. He called ahead to let us know they were on their way. They arrived on time (actually a few minutes early). What was awesome was that from the minute we met Rush, he was so calming and polite and really put us at ease within minutes of arriving. I knew right then and there that our move was in good (and safe) and capable hands. Rush and his crew were very careful with all of our boxes and items. And regularly he checked in with us to make sure we were happy and comfortable with what they were doing. Clearly, customer service, care and attention were the top priority. They wrapped all of our furniture, paintings, mirrors and bedding protectively, so that nothing risked getting damaged. They took their time to do it right. When they arrived at our new building we were stuck in traffic. Rather than start yelling at us or getting annoyed, they were very understandable and didn't charge us extra. Nothing was scratched. There were no marks on the wall. Everything arrived in the condition it was packed. Rush and his team put everything exactly where we wanted. What was awesome was that from the minute we met Rush, he was so calming and polite and really put us at ease within minutes of arriving. I knew right then and there that our move was in good (and safe) and capable hands. Rush and his crew were very careful with all of our boxes and items. And regularly he checked in with us to make sure we were happy and comfortable with what they were doing. Clearly, customer service, care and attention were the top priority. They wrapped all of our furniture, paintings, mirrors and bedding protectively, so that nothing risked getting damaged. They took their time to do it right. Despite his name, Rush never rushed the job. They did what they needed to do to ensure that all of our belonging arrived safe and sound. When they arrived at our new building we were stuck in traffic. Rather than start yelling at us or getting annoyed, they were very understandable and didn't charge us extra. Perhaps the best moving experience I've ever had - and that's after moving about 10 times in the last 15 years! I submitted a quote here on Yelp and Tasko and Peter reached out to me with a quote. While I was packing, my inventory shifted a bit but they were very accommodating - and my price didn't go up much (about $75). Even on the day before the move, I added a couple of things and they didn't charge me extra for it. On the day of the move, I received a message from Bob 30 minutes before they arrived at my door. They arrived exactly when I expecting them - very punctual. They were very quick in loading all my things even though there was a lot of snow on the ground and Bob checked in a couple of times to make sure that I was happy with how things were being packed/carried etc. At my new apartment, they were very careful with not scuffing the walls of the building, carrying things up. I learned about Perfect Moving when booking my move with and I am so glad I did. To think I almost used any other movers scares me, since moving can be so disastrous if not handled right. The seamless move-out process: One guy came up to greet me (I forgot his name, but will update when I know it) and I showed him what'd he need to bring down, disassemble, etc. and 20 minutes later, his crew came up stairs with about 12 dollies and 1 dolly with a huge sturdy box that my smaller items would go in. I reserved an elevator to move out (they lock it for just the movers to use) and they didn't mind at all that the elevator time started later. The movers were quick to adapting to any circumstance. I honestly was so at ease, I left to go to the ATM because I knew I would need a generous tip. While I left, he disassembled my bed frame, disassembled and wrapped up my tv, desks, dining table with moving blankets, while moving my boxes out to the dollies, and gathering all my little trinkets, in about 2 hours. I still wonder to this day how they did it so fast. Moving in: I waited downstairs until they came, and when they arrived, they told me to just go relax, sit down, not to worry. They talked to my new building's concierge, worked out the elevator situation, and moved my stuff up in under an hour - not to mention that one guy re-assembled my bed, while the two other guys put everything in its correct room according to box instruction and helped me with anything I needed. This all happened in literally one hour! With a smaller new elevator, I thought it would take longer - but just like that, my move was done. 9am to 12pm - Jersey City to New York City. It really doesn't get any better than that. Perfect Moving, I wanted to say thank you so much for the easy, worry-free moving process. You guys came prepared for all of my items, handled it with care, and assembled back my furniture for me which I didn't think movers did?! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
