AMAZING SERVICE!!! Highly Recommend!!! Ten Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ They were polite and on time…loaded up the moving truck to take a bunch of furniture etc to storage. We get to storage AND…. There’s NO POWER to the storage building!!! FPL had an outage. So the movers stayed with me and were so patient as the storage manager told me she could give me a 1st story unit instead of my 2nd story one since there was no elevator because no power. She takes us to the unit and it’s very dark… no lights. Then she says that she can’t rent it to me because it’s too dark and not safe. Then she says we have a sister company storage facility 1 mile away and go there and they will give you a unit… larger unit for the same price plus 2 mo free due to the inconvenience. So the movers and I go to the other location which was in a less than desirable neighborhood. I didn’t feel safe there. The storage guy wanted me to pay upfront MORE than my original unit and wouldn’t give me the first 2 mo free as I had been promised. The free months were “later”. I was NOT going to store my stuff there - I didn’t like the location nor how I was being treated. This wasted 45 min of moving time. The mover Jeremiah was very kind and went thru different options on what to do…. We decided to leave my stuff on the truck and have them go to their next job. But if I had to leave it overnight there would be a $250 charge because they couldn’t use the truck for another job. So FPL said that the power should come on in the original storage center between 3-4 (but we were hoping it would be sooner). This was my first time hiring movers and I feel so lucky to have chosen Our Family Moving Company. Everyone in the company from the customer rep to actual movers were very good at communicating. They had called me 24 hour before moving date and 30 minutes prior to the movers arriving. The movers who came to help were Terrance and Lion, and omg they were absolute beasts. They arrived on time, came up to our apartment and verified with us what we want them to move. Once they knew what are the items needed to be moved, they got to work. Within an hour and half everything was wrapped and in the truck. They arrived to our new apartment within reasonable time and even with the midday heat and one flight of stairs to go up and down from they put everything inside our new apartment within an hour and half. We were very impressed by their time management, efficiency and coordination skills. The price for this outstanding service was more than reasonable! Our Family Moving is hands down one of the best moving companies! I’ve had my fair share of moving experiences, having moved about 5 times now, and this has been one of the best. The level of professionalism is one all companies should implement. Joey did our initial meeting with us and he was extremely personable and charismatic; had it not been for him we probably wouldn’t have gone with this company. We had them pack and move everything for us; from a two story house to a two story house, and it was literally painless. Everyone was punctual, and courteous. Everything was packed carefully, organized and efficiently. Our packing team, Ant, Mack, Zeeke, E and Donnie kept the atmosphere light and fun while working their butts off. We had additional people on move day which like wise were a pleasure to work with. Gotta hire the "Kill squad" Leon and Anthony who helped me immensely with my move. They were calm and collected which is great, and they are very organized and strategic. They have great attitude and have given the best service and I definitely recommend them to my friends and family. Joey was very thorough with the process when I called to inquire. He even was able to make additional changes to suit my needs (additional drop off of a couple of items to a house). Choosing a moving company is much more difficult in South Florida than South Georgia. If you are moving into a nice condominium, you can't just invite a few friends over and buy pizza and beer. It's extremely complicated. Not only do they have to be licensed and insured but you also have to reserve a time with the condo management to reserve the freight elevator as well as give the condo association a deposit in case the moving company does any damages to the building or the elevator. Wow and you thought just finding a place to live was difficult. So you get estimates and then you consider quality of work since you may have to pay for repairs. I spoke to a lot of moving companies and I got the best gut feeling from Joey at Our Family Moving and Storage. I was not disappointed at all. Both workers called on the way to my apartment to give me advance notice and they were exactly on time. Both were COVID-19 compliant wearing masks. Upon arrival, they quickly got to work. All of my furniture was wrapped in heavy pads. Leon and Mitch were obviously experienced movers. They finished the job well ahead of schedule. They were both very pleasant to do business with. Moving can be very stressful under numerous factors: deciding what items you're taking with you, making sure you have the time and enough packing supplies to pack everything, and finding available people to help you not only carry the items, but to transport them from the old place to the new place. Fortunately I got in contact with Mr. Joey DeMarco (through Yelp) who runs Our Family Moving and Storage. He was courteous and informative about the business. His men are moving professionals who have been background checked and drug screened. They bring their own tools to disassemble/reassemble standard household furniture, and they blanket wrap all furniture to protect against nicks or scratches. Mr. DeMarco also schedules an appointment for an on-site walkthrough of the items that will be moved so he can give the customer a guaranteed price of the labor, materials, travel, and fuel. The business is located along Hollywood Blvd. in a building that houses other businesses. I met Mr. DeMarco there to make a payment for the moving truck and scheduled the actual moving for the following day. The movers were professional and arrived at the scheduled time. I had to rush home to meet the guys because my daughter's dental appointment took longer than expected. Then to my dismay, more than half of my kids and my belongings were not packed. NOTE: I didn't have all the time in the world, I also had to work and take care of other things. I packed as much as I could. The movers were understanding and we all worked together in the sweltering heat moving items back and forth. It took about 6-7 hours to move everything to my new place and a few items to the storage facility, but we got it done.
