Today we moved a townhouse of furniture & boxes with the help of One Stop Moving's excellent team led by Fernando! This was our first time using a moving company and we were so pleased with the whole process from reservation to moving day. Nicole made the reservation for our move and she was professional & answered all my questions. Everything was processed over the phone with no issues. The day before the move, Garret called to confirm our appointment & reviewed the specifics. He also answered my questions regarding cost, payment methods & tipping recommendations. On moving day, Fernando showed up and was ready to work! He introduced his team- Jose & Carlos. He told me they were not "good workers" - they were excellent & the BEST movers!!!!! And he was correct! The three men moved all of our items carefully, efficiently and quickly. The managed to load everything on the truck in a little more than one hour! We were shocked! Our townhouse is three stories so the number of times they went up & down the stairs was crazy- but they never complained & they moved all of our furniture, boxes & items with ease & a great attitude. When we arrived at our storage unit, the guys worked with precision to make sure everything fit! As Fernando said, "it's like Tetris !" That's true and they certainly did their best to organize all of our stuff into a 10' x 13' storage unit! We appreciated their friendliness, hard working attitude & tireless energy! I highly recommend One Stop Moving & Storage for any moving or packing needs! One Stop Moving & Storage was the first moving company I have ever worked with, and I couldn't be happier with their service. I chose One Stop Moving & Storage when I was feeling overwhelmed a week before my move. They were able to accommodate me on such short notice. Everyone I spoke with was super friendly, helpful and communicative. On moving day, the movers moved everything quickly and with care. They communicated with me throughout the move to make sure everything was moved and packed the way I wanted. They packed boxes, wrapped couches in plastic wrap for long term storage, and protected fragile items and furniture with blankets. If i could put 0 or negative stars, I would. BEWARE!!!! This is the moving company from Hell. The owner, Elad, came a week before to check out how much was being moved. On the day of the move, the truck showed up 3 hours late. After filling the truck, it was obvious a second truck was needed. After being notified of this, Elad attempted to make the problem my fault instead of owning up to his miscalculation, even suggesting I had lied about what needed to be moved until his own workers set him straight. Both trucks were loaded and supposed to arrive at my new location the next day. However, the second truck did not show up for 2 more days since Elad could not find a driver. My family and I had to get a motel room for 2 nights waiting on Elad's second truck. When the trucks were finally unloaded, multiple property items were missing. The workers had put things in unmarked boxes or wrapped them up in blankets but then could not find the right pieces to put my furniture back together. To this day I am missing multiple items, including luggage, a dolly, patio furniture bases for which I have the glass but no base to put it. I wonder who has my wicker bases with no glass to put on them. Additionally, they scratched the front of my refrigerator, gouged out holes in the doorway of my new house, and smashed the front of my 75" plasma TV that was only a couple years old and cost $2000. [See photos below]. When I asked about my property, not surprisingly, no one knew where it might be except for a couple of items, which took 6 weeks to get back. WHAT A NIGHTMARE!!!!!! Awesome experience!! From the booking and quote with Sarah, to the actual moving day, 1 Stop are true professionals, and I highly recommend them! I'm so grateful to Kyle, Chance, Ismael and John for the careful dismantling, moving and storage of my items. They worked so hard, and worked non-stop to get all my items packed up and into a storage container which should have been too small for all my items-- but they packed it so carefully and with such skill, everything did fit! They were friendly, polite, knowledgeable, hard working and informative. I found them by Yelp reviews, and was nervous because I have hired some flaky movers in the past. The communication was seamless [I had to reschedule from my original date], and I was called a few days ahead to make certain of the details, in addition to being called that morning when they were on their way. I just got married and needed someone to help my husband and I move my things into his house. I was moving from a small apartment into his much larger house. My apartment complex doesn't have an elevator and I lived on the fourth floor. We mainly needed help getting my larger items like my dresser and bookcase down the stairs and transported to my husbands house and then into his house. I had never heard of them before, but I found one stop moving and storage through yelp. I thought they had decent prices so I gave them a call and we scheduled a Thursday afternoon that they could come and help me move. In a few hours, we got everything over from my old apartment to my husband's house. They did all of the heavy lifting and secured all of my belongings. They also had a very large moving truck they used to transport everything. I enjoyed my experience with them and feel like they got the job done very well. The hardest part was that my apartment didn't have an elevator, so all of the furniture and stuff had to be carried down four flights of stairs. It was not an easy task and their asking price was very reasonable. I don't have any more personal moves planned, but will use them for my business move in the future. They were great! Over and over again these guys have done a great job moving me around San Diego. I've probably been using them for the past 8 years worth of moves and they never let me down. I think one of the guys on the crew actually moved me every time. Pretty impressive that he's worked there that long. We did have little things break in a few of the moves, this most recent time it was a few dishes. And before that it was some of my wife's makeup and shampoos that spilled. To be fair to the movers, we were the ones that packed the boxes (and probably not all that well) and we moved the boxes around our new place once the movers delivered everything so I'm not 100% sure it was their fault. I just called the office to explain the situation each time and worked out replacement values for everything. They offered for me to go through their insurance company but the replacement values were so low that they just ended up giving me cash to save me the trouble of paper work. We joked in the phone about how doing paperwork to get new shampoo and makeup was ridiculous. Really cool staff at the office and hard working and friendly movers. Over the years of many moves I've learned a few tips: - buy many more boxes and tape and newspaper than you think you need to pack. - double the time you think you need to pack. There's always way more than you think. - Plan for a few more hours to move than you think you need. Even with a professional moving company, there's still so much for you to do once they leave, like unpack the food into the fridge/freezer before it melts and find and unpack the boxes with your dogs food, etc. - have a general idea of where you want your furniture to go in your new place so you can tell the movers as they bring the stuff in. - set up internet in your new place before you move. The guys were super friendly and were respectful of my new neighbors by asking them if they needed to move the truck or if they were in their way at all. Everything arrived safe and sound and nothing was broken. The guys even put together our beds, kitchen table, couch sectional and unwrapped a really big rug for me. I'm used to having to do all the manual labor myself when I move so it was nice to be able to relax and just unpack the boxes. Well, I mean, unpacking boxes isn't my cup of tea but it's better than doing all the heavy lifting. Two thumbs up to these guys and Karmit. I had to move a storage unit from San Diego to Las Vegas this past month and am so glad I worked with this company to get it done. These guys are super organized and efficient. I used them about three years ago and had a good experience then as well. They're surprisingly fast how they wrap all your furniture and move all your boxes into the truck. We were lucky that they could fit everything into one truck, we almost needed a second truck to fit all my garage stuff and outdoor items (like BBQ and patio furniture). It was going to be another $400 if we needed the second truck so I explain to the guys that I really wanted to avoid having to use it. They understood where I was coming from and did some serious spatial planning to unpack and repacking things in the truck to make it all fit. They charge something called 'double drive time' which I though was weird, but then they explained it to me and it makes sense. It's the hourly rate for the guys to drive from your old house to your new house to unpack, and then it pays for them to drive from your new house back to the truck yard (or wherever the office is). I guess the drive to your original location, or old house, in the morning is free. Read More

We had newly installed wood floors (finished days before the move in) and furniture from Pottery Barn, West Elm and Crate and Barrel all bought in the last 6-9 months that have marks, dents and scratches on them. We asked to have furniture taken apart since it was large, heavy and to be moved up stairs, but were told it would be fine and that the team was saving us money by not taking it apart (this was not our concern - we wanted our furniture to stay nice!). We used One Stop Moving to move us for the third time this past weekend. This is the best moving company hands down! We were moving from a large 4 bedroom to a larger home, and had a Cal King bed, kid's bunk beds and another queen bed, along with dining sets, couches etc. These guys were so efficient, professional and fast! They were quick to disassemble, load up the truck and wrap up all of our furniture to prevent any damage. They also wrapped our mattresses, lined the carpets with blankets and ensured that every box and piece of furniture made it to the correct spot. We used One Stop Moving to move us for the third time this past weekend. This is the best moving company hands down! We were moving from a large 4 bedroom to a larger home, and had a Cal King bed, kid's bunk beds and another queen bed, along with dining sets, couches etc. These guys were so efficient, professional and fast! They were quick to disassemble, load up the truck and wrap up all of our furniture to prevent any damage. They also wrapped our mattresses, lined the carpets with blankets and ensured that every box and piece of furniture made it to the correct spot.
