I had the displeasure of having a team lead by Eric. They showed up before 9am, and Eric insisted that I stand there and check off each item as it came off the truck. This quickly got out of hand as they rattled off numbers faster than I could catch up. I spoke to Eric about it and they slowed down a little, but I ended up needing a scrap paper to write numbers down on so I could find them. It took them 3 hours to unload the truck, so at noon I asked Eric if his guys were going to take a lunch break, he said no. Next they were on to the task of assembling furniture and 'unpacking' boxes. This where things became unsatisfactory. According to both the Navy HHG office and Eric, the crew leader, a 'full unpack' means they just cut open boxes and dump them in the floor of the rooms they belong to. And that's exactly what happened. All of our nicely folded clothes, my wife's jewelry, boxes of tools, all dumped haphazardly wherever they saw fit. They were in such a hurry to unpack and leave before 2pm that they actually wanted me to let them go before the Navy inspector could come and do her walkthrough. In the end, they managed to slice the King mattress pad with a box knife, puncture the rocking chair pad in the baby's room, chip and scuff the master dresser and end tables, destroy a corner the baby's crib, and assemble the crib clearly the wrong way (the peices are labeled by the manufacturer). In addition they managed to rip holes in the brand new linoleum floors when barbarically handling our sectional quite light couch. Everything considered I would never recommend this company. I have noted my displeasure to the Navy HHG office and to the moving broker who hired them on the Navy's behalf. Read More
