DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. I contracted to have only my furniture moved. During the move, one of the workers asked to use my bathroom and stole a pair of shoes from my closet. I started a claim, and the Louis Handy, Operation Manager dismissed my claim on the same day without speaking to me to get my side of the story. Louis Handy, Operations Manager refused to wait for Apartment security cameras, which were in the process of being provided to me and offered no resolution to the situation (Please see Attachments). Additionally, Mustang Moving is not following their own policy of investigating claims for at least 90 days. I provided screenshots of emails from the Louis Handy, Operations Manager and a picture of the individual (Please see attachment) who stole the shoes. Mustang Moving states they do not carry replacement value insurance. Mustang Moving only abide by Texas DMV law which requires all movers in the state of Texas to carry a liability for loss or damage of $.60 per pound per article. The worst movers in DFW! Stay away from this company. They broke my TV and dodged me for 3 months before offering me a quarter of the price and communicated that they would refund the move but didn’t. Horrible service, do not use them. A response to your message: that is grossly incorrect. After the damage was done on July 8th, I wasn’t contacted until the end of September and at that point was told a comparable replacement would be found and after calling for 3 weeks straight to try and get in touch with someone at your office, to which I was told no one is here, I received 1 call saying the only comparable model found was $1800 and that you were not willing to offer that amount but can refund the move. I then received an email a couple weeks later with a one line response saying “I’ll give you $800” and no mention of refunding the move charge or responses to my calls or emails. Substandard service and deflection of a “company” who’s sole occupation is to move items without damaging them, and on top of that, they were contractors, they weren’t even your own employees! PLEASE READ In a concise summary to the owner's response... 1) The Uhaul was NOT leaking. Read below. 2) There were MULTIPLE protectors to use. So no, the mattress and box springs weren't unprotected because we "chose to use the mattress protector for different belongings" as the owner implies. The movers simply didn't use the protectors we provided. Plain and simple. Wordy update: I was hoping for better but have been majorly disappointed. As you can read below, the owner takes no accountability and cannot even offer a simple apology. He shows no concern for his customers who trusted him and his team. We would like to call out the lie that the Uhaul was leaking. It was not. One mover pointed out a "puddle" to my husband, AFTER they already loaded the mattress and other items into the Uhaul and onto the water. The movers kept the Uhaul door constantly open, allowing the rain to get inside even more, causing this puddle. My husband even commented on this to them. Of course, the rain was going to get in, but there were so many things that could have been done to mitigate the damage. And Mustang Movers did not take appropriate action. Yes, one of our mattress protectors was used to cover our clothes (they did this at the very end). But we had other ones to use too, which are still in their package, unopened and unused. In regards to the drying recommendation, it has been 5 days since MM helped us move, and our mattress and box spring are still damp. Even after we put them in the direct sun, dried them, and put baking soda on them. Providing a response and tip 5 days later is useless. They are still damp 5 days later, so there is definitely a risk for mold and mildew. The owner rudely saying he doesn't "think" the items are ruined does not make it true. I cannot believe he has shown no empathy regarding the stress and inconveniences he has caused, but this seems to be a pattern for him. Questionable business practices and unprofessional movers. Owner is a bully and likes to argue when people complain on reviews, yet the emails and calls I left went unanswered for months. He also called me a “Caren” (lol @ the misspell, guess he doesn’t want to get flagged😂) in his reply on here simply for complaining about the way he handled this particular situation - in which he chose to ignore me completely. Should also note it’s the most expensive move I’ve ever paid for and received tons of broken items when finished. (Picture attached of my vintage table I had to glue back together). They’ll nickel and dime you for everything even though this move was supposed to be a special. What’s worse, if you have any complaints, you have to bring it to Yelp or Google for the owner to get back to you….don’t expect an email reply or call back, just expect to see the owner arguing with upset customers under reviews instead of trying to make it right. He calls PAID customers liars when they bring serious issues to him. The only time I’ve seen him seemingly try to make things right is when people leave lots of horrible pictures & don’t leave less than 3 stars. Dude needs to take a management and customer service course. If he would have tried to make it right I would have never had to leave this review. I would never recommend this company to anybody. Should have stuck with AM moving, at least their movers actually have experience and if any issues arise, their owner approaches it with grace and sincerity. FOR THE LAST TIME: Your WORKER REFUSED to move the truck when they purposefully blocked me in, then asked me to move my car and told me they would direct me. He directed me right into the truck and LAUGHED AT IT. The fact that you’re arguing with a PAID customer over this issue is still mind blowing to me, especially since I wrote you an email THAT DAY explaining what happened, with 2 follow up emails, and NO RESPONSE from you. This was my 4th move with Mustang and every other time was fabulous. We used them for local and long distance moves. I always recommended them. On this last move, they broke a lamp, broke a part off a family treasure, broke a picture frame off the wall and RUINED an expensive mattress THAT WAS IN A BAG!!!!! My expensive mattress has stains ALL OVER IT! I thought by having it in a bag it would be protected but NO! The whole exterior is COVERED in stains. The bottom of the mattress has brown stains. I am LIVID! When I confronted them about having it cleaned, they nickel and dimed me. They fought me on getting money back for the other pieces they broke as well (they thought $100 would cover all the broken pieces and $150 should cover the mattress cleaning). Since telling them the mattress is now RUINED they have been RADIO SILENT! I cannot describe how angry I am. My mattress was an investment (it's an organic mattress that should last a really long time) and it's now RUINED because of Mustang. I wish I could get all my money back. Upon receiving a small compensation for the damage to our bed, the company responded they demoted their employee. Very gross response considering the young man they demoted openly admitted he was not comfortable disassembling the bed and only continued to after their boss called him and made him do it. Pretty disgusting behavior to demote an employee for something they pressured him into doing. Next time, I hope they don't promise a service they can't provide. That way they don't have risk poor reviews after they damage something they promised you were qualified to disassemble and reassemble. Two of the 4 guys didn't want to wear a mask, said they couldn't breath. I had to ask one of the guys to leave my house because he didn't want to wear a mask. He got belligerent when I asked him to leave and dumped all of my belonging in the hallway on the floor, said they weren't going to finish the move. The other guys wearing mask finished the move! I will not use this company again! You are the owner, how can you apologize then state what you don't know because you were not there. One guy said he didn't have a mask, when I called your office I was told that all your workers are given mask. Since he didn't have one I gave him one. Governor Gregg Abbott made it a requirement for everyone to wear a mask in the state of Texas. If you had someone that couldn't wear a mask then you should have rescheduled my move until you had someone that could wear a mask. Your driver was rude, he told me he was the driver as if that gave him the right to not wear a mask. I told him to leave if he couldn't wear a mask. You believe his lie if you want, when I told him to leave he left in a rage and dumped my things in the hallway and said I could move my own things and told the other guys "ya'll come on!" I told him if they didn't finish moving my things they wouldn't get paid! He told me that he would get paid because I wasn't paying, my apartment management was! He left and I thanked the other guys for staying. I have a broken vase, my washer and dryer wasn't reconnected and my yellow dolly is missing! I understand workers are hard to find in the line of work you are in but because of COVID things are different! I'm 69 years old and I will not be around anyone without a mask! I'm sorry that you have a hard time getting drivers but if that person cannot wear a mask which is required by the state then let them do something outside the realm of coming in contact with your paying customer without a mask or having their nose out! For clarification , this is the 3rd call that I have made & as far as boxes are concerned -originally was quoted for a 1900 square foot home (kitchen & mud room ) that you allowed 20-30 boxes for packing and a estimate of 2 1/2 -3 hrs -I didn't read the follow up attachment that stated 20 boxes only -I(that's on me) I had a broken arm /wrist /concussion & hadn't moved in 15 years -so I was unfamiliar and uncertain with quantity. It took 4 1/2 hrs I had no bedroom furniture -no sofa -and had sold half of my living room -so I estimated time as best as possible. I stress that everyone has been pleasant & kind -just no follow up -the gentlemen took my lamp with them to have repaired on June 30th. **THIS IS AN UODATE AS OF SEPT 9th** Last week I had a follow up from mustang movers -it seems that there was a bit lost in translation -my lamp had been sent off to be repaired , but somehow no one had communicated with me. Dan graciously offered to pay for replacement of lamp and replacement of fire stick that was missing. Once I communicated cost , Kelly adjusted my refund for those items. This is an update -thank you for the response -I've called the office -manager not in ...I called because this response was left today -was told i would receive a call back Saturday or Monday . For clarification , this is the 3rd call that I have made & as far as boxes are concerned -originally was quoted for a 1900 square foot home (kitchen & mud room ) that you allowed 20-30 boxes for packing and a estimate of 2 1/2 -3 hrs -I didn't read the follow up attachment that stated 20 boxes only -I(that's on me) I had a broken arm /wrist /concussion & hadn't moved in 15 years -so I was unfamiliar and uncertain with quantity. It took 4 1/2 hrs I had no bedroom furniture -no sofa -and had sold half of my living room -so I estimated time as best as possible. I stress that everyone has been pleasant & kind -just no follow up -the gentlemen took my lamp with them to have repaired on June 30th. **THIS IS AN UODATE AS OF SEPT 9th** Last week I had a follow up from mustang movers -it seems that there was a bit lost in translation -my lamp had been sent off to be repaired , but somehow no one had communicated with me. I am absolutely thrilled to be able to post this review. I cannot say enough good things about our experience with Mustang. Owner Kahle came out and provided a very reasonable (and accurate) estimate. He dressed professionally, showed up on time, and was very honest about what our expectations should be. He estimated 8 hours to move our VERY heavy furniture which also included several large arcade games. My husband and I had a nightmare of a move a couple years ago and prepared ourselves for the likelihood that it would take at least 10-12 hours (last move took 16 hours). THEY DID IT ALL IN 7.5 HOURS!!!! The staff was amazing. The care and respect these guys had for our stuff was above and beyond anything we expected. They even took time to coil and wrap our AV wiring. Every piece of furniture was carefully wrapped. All of the guys were super nice. Lewis (Louis?) and Jameel were fantastic and if I could remember the other guys' names, they'd all be receiving my accolades as well. There is no other moving company I will ever use. Kahle just curious why you've taken the time to update Yelp and, you know, not call back a clearly disgruntled customer. If you're truly 'at a loss' you might consider that the final cost was nearly twice your high end estimate and over 3x the low end estimate. Attached a pic for reference. It was an in-building move in a building Mustang claimed to know well. We have 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, an office, kitchen and LR. As pro movers I figure you're experienced at estimating time and cost of moves. Oh and I did 21 hrs of moving personally before and after. So that factors in. But rather than deal with this in a direct, professional and fair manner you chose to post a Yelp response. You made no attempt to meet me in the middle or even apologize. So while I don't doubt that you're 'at a loss', I just wonder how you run a business if these concepts are so foreign to you... Read More
