It seems like there is only one Yelp page for both Houston and Cypress locations. I am writing this from Orange County so this will be in regards to the Cypress location. They destroyed and damaged numerous items, things were not properly wrapped for safety like promised, for example, we paid for mattress covers through their company which were not used and no one has returned our calls or emails. I feel like we were scammed for our money and I don't believe the people that came to move our items were professional movers. We hired Moving Stars on March 6th, 2021. As we began unpacking and setting up our apartment we were disgusted at the disregard in the handling of our furniture. My new dresser and nightstand have damages such as, chipped wood and scratches on them from the movers sliding the furniture on the concrete. My roommates bed has a very long and deep scratch on the footboard and they dropped his desk drawer due to not wrapping it causing it to crack and now it does not close properly. Our couch has large red marks and is ripped due to getting stuck in the staircase which we told them would not fit yet they tried to do it anyway. Movers came and of course they couldn't move the piano, so i had to go and find 2 more helpers and pay extra $140 that they could move the piano. At the end their freaking truck broke down because it was a piece of shit. Also when they arrive and opened the truck's door, there were a lot of trash in the truck that they had to move. The movers destroyed my daughters bed, broke my sons dresser, took chunks of plaster out of my parents walls, and scraped our vintage desk all to heck. When we called that evening to tell the company about the extensive damage done, the guy on the phone could not have been more rude. Apparently when a company breaks your things and the movers are rude to you, you're not allowed to "get an attitude". Like many of the other reviewers on here, I do not recommend this company. They're terrible at protecting your personal property. They damaged a lot of furniture and also damaged our new home. We have dents and scratches on our wood floors, walls, ceilings, and window shutters. They also left trash at our old home. The crew left behind balled up stretch wrap film, and the empty rolls. We called and wanted to speak to Andrew, the manager, but the receptionist told us to e-mail the pictures to file a claim. We e-mailed them and it's been almost 2 weeks and have not heard back from them at all.
