**edited to respond to business reply** Overall, we did not have a great experience using this service for a full house move within the same town. It seemed like there was a lack of training/experience/leadership, which was very frustrating. Pros: The guys were on time, friendly, and very hard workers! They were clearly trying really hard. The company also saved our butts by being available for a last-minute move after another company canceled on us. **I was hoping the business owner would take this as constructive feedback- maybe bigger moves are something that need work?** Cons: There was a lack of efficiency- 5 guys showed up, but they didn’t seem to be using moving straps, so they were just exhausting themselves by lifting all our furniture with brute force. **Apparently that’s how they like to do it, but it was a different and much slower strategy than previous moving companies we’ve used**. And then at the new house, they just piled so much in the garage so that we had to actually move a lot in ourselves later on (a pregnant woman and a man with a bad back). **We were there the whole time to answer any questions, and I can promise that the garage was full of labeled boxes**. There was also a huge lack of communication within the team- we couldn’t figure out if one person was in charge. We told a few guys where our cats were quarantined, and asked them not to open that room, but immediately they let the cats out and one was missing all day. The dog also kept appearing running out into the street from the backyard. **Steve was lovely, as were all the guys, despite the day being kind of a mess**. So either they weren’t getting the message or they weren’t taking it seriously. There were multiple other messages that were not passed on, resulting in LOTS of things being randomly left at our old house for us to figure out how to move. **One example is the trash can roll-carts, which we clearly communicated needed to be brought over, but were left. The walkthrough at the old house was done 3/4 through the move, so how could we possibly know that they’d leave things?** Finally, none of our furniture was wrapped or padded, resulting in a soiled mattress, chipped and scuffed dressers, and lots of nicks in the walls. **I guess it was wrapped? I hired grunts junk On September 24 They provided a work order and invoice for $398.10 and then they provided an altered receipt to American Express when they charged $390 above the original invoice that I have of $398.10 this is clear fraud and will be pursued by the attorney general and criminal charges that will be filed By this dishonest company and Bart newhouse. I have this original invoice in my hand as well as the fake invoice they altered and then submitted to American Express I am the owner of the quality Inn in Shelburne Vermont and will not be ripped off By this company. So be warned I am coming from you I want compensation for being ripped off by you And you can bet I will not let this go . owners response is a lie. I was at the property i will post the invoice you gave to us to sign when job was done and the altered invoice you submitted to american express. anyone looking at this can plainly see you altered on line of the phony invoice. only you can change from your computer. i saw them load a 4 cubic foot trailer. invoice left at the hotel when service completed shows you were there 30 minutes. phony invoice shows 6 trucks loaded in same 30 minutes on same invoice after you altered it. your response on google claims full trailer. you took the same signed invoice and altered one line Read More
