This is my second time working with Fairprice Movers, and I can still say it's the best decision. They not only have the best price, they also bring 3 movers instead of 2 like every other moving company (trust me, I got spammed by other moving companies with many quotes) Movers arrived on time, called 30 minutes before to give me a heads up. Took them 2 hours to move my one bedroom (to a third floor w no stairs!!). They were super efficient and I do not know how but they didn't stop for a second. Jose and team were awesome!! Super helpful and very professional. Jose communicated through the whole move to make sure I knew what was going on and started by asking for a tour to see what was going to be moved but how I wanted it unloaded in the new location so they could load efficiently. It was a long distance moved and because of their organization and coordination I was completely moved into my new home by the end of the day. Have used fair priced movers a few times... love how they always take care of me and my belonging. When I moved my belongings to storage they helped and did it so quickly I had a lot of extra time on my hands I was so impressed. Most recently they cleared out my largest storage like always the best. The prices are awesome and the guys are amazing. Your men were prompt and very courteous and helpful. They are very professional from the first phone call. The customer rep was very nice and talked very politely. He walked me through the entire process. Gave me a good quote and time estimation as well. Hiring these movers for local move was a good idea. On the day of move, the movers arrived at my place on time, they packed everything very carefully. As they were wrapping and packing, I was labeling the boxes. Everything worked out really well. FIVE PLUS STARS! FairPrice Movers moved us from our two-bedroom townhouse in San Jose to a house in South Lake Tahoe. Nancy was our contact who provided the estimate, contract, and all the coordination leading up to the move. She kept in great contact with us and was easy to reach by phone, email, and text. Our moving team, Juan, Julio, and Jorge were the absolute best! They took great care in packing our belongings and went the extra mile in making sure some family antiques were so well packed and cared for. They moved my Yamaha studio upright piano and wrapped it in blankets, then wrapping plastic and tape. I have had MANY pianos moved by professional piano-only movers over my lifetime and I have never seen such care taken. They were even extra careful with some of our IKEA furniture because, well, it's IKEA and doesn't move very well. EVERYTHING IS INTACT AND WITHOUT A SCRATCH OR DENT - EVEN THE WALLS! We were moving from Los Altos to South San Jose and the seller of our new home used FairPrice movers to move out so we thought we would ask for a quote to move in. The quote was fair (see what I did there) and the referral from the seller of the home was great so we decided to move forward with the quote. I am SO glad we did. I have never used a moving service with such professionalism and experience. There was a clear team leader and 3 other guys that worked non-stop the whole time. We were all moved in and it took less that 5 hours. I want to give special recognition to the team that came to our aid. Juan M., Roberto, Ricardo and Ruben all introduced themselves to both me and my wife. They took great care with our things, even packing my pachinko machine better than I had. They explained every step of the process and the price was exactly what I had in mind when I thought what would be fair for the amount of work there was to do. I can't recommend these guys enough. I was debating whether or not to write a somewhat negative review of Fairprice because they were extremely communicative, flexible, and had great follow-through with the actual SETTING-UP of my move. However, my experience having them MOVE a condo of mine from Central Valley to Bay Area was bittersweet and I wanted to provide them with honest feedback so they can improve. So, back before Christmas, I needed some stuff moved up here to Bay Area. I got the quote and they were responsive over email. In general if you are doing a move and hiring people there is a minimum charge by the hour and that is around 105 bucks for 1 truck and 2 workers. No problem. Kudos to them for also moving my date back to a Sunday with no issues. I'm a planner, so, in Townhouse A (let's just call it that) I brought most of my stuff downstairs, I moved a treadmill by myself, weight set, big bed, everything down into a room by the front door to make it easy for the movers. Yes, I feel bad when someone else is doing work for me even though I'm paying them a 1000.00 bucks. In Townhouse B (the destination), I let them put the heavy stuff in a garage not 3 floors up because I felt bad about them moving heavy stuff up three flights of stairs. Anyway, the point is that I was a considerate customer because they were flexible with my moving date; instead of being considerate in return the two moving guys left a huge mess in the destination condo. It was already full of other stuff so it was upsetting to have to deal with their forgetfulness. I uploaded pics of what they left. They left these huge and thick moving boxes, tape, and some of their moving blankets. I called them within minutes to come back and pick up the stuff but the movers (named Felton and Nelson) said 'we're already on our way back to San Jose....keep them.' I said, 'no thanks I have to break them up and throw them away and I have no space for garbage because there is no dumpster...can you please come back?' Too bad! They just said sorry no and I was left with a huge pile of junk; the big boxes they left took about 30 minutes to cut up so I could recycle them. I actually had to go to Target to buy a box cutter. The moving blanket, with its sticky-been-around-the-block vibe was gross. So, after all was said and done, I was a bit shocked; I thought that after I had made it easy for them they would have just turned around to pick up their junk they had left behind but they refused. I paid for three hours because it was the minimum, but I barely used two hours of their time. I gave them cash. I am not sure I would ever go with this moving company again; considering I've moved around over 14 times it's their loss Read More

We were very pleased with service on both ends. On moving day, 2 strong guys and a driver got our 60 boxes and small amount of furniture loaded in 1.5 hours. Furniture, including upright piano, was carefully padded and wrapped - looked like a big cocoon. Boxes were stacked and wrapped as well - good way to keep things together. At the other end - 850 miles to the north - two strong guys (Juan and Eddie) labored 2 hours to unload all and get things moved into the house (up 4 steps). I hired Fairprice movers two weeks ago moving from SF to Oakland. Kellye, was the person in the office explaining about the charges and I decided to give them a chance even though they weren't cheap as some of the other companies I've talked to. On the day of the move, Carlos the foreman called me 20min before arrival. He was nice and was looking to make the move easier on me. Even though I moved only one bedroom it was on the third floor with no elevator and I didn't hear any complaints from the guys.
