Moving day is never fun, especially if you're travelling 45 minutes away to a new home. However, from the moment I contacted Excalibur via Yelp, the conversation was always clear and straightforward. They do send a representative to your location a day prior to moving, in order to provide an estimate. For example, they gave me a guess-stimate of 8.5 hours, which would cost no more than $1000. If they go over this estimate, you will not be charged more. If they finish under this timeframe, you get charged less. On the day of the move, Guido, Julio, and Bayron arrived on time. I have to tell you - they are no nonsense and get down to business right away. Everything fragile was wrapped and promptly taken to the truck. We were in and out in under 2 hours! We had to travel from Pasadena to Porter Ranch. Again, they arrived quickly. Mind you, we have no elevator and live on the third floor. They unloaded everything quickly and asked every single time which box went where. They were very considerate and so easy to work with. Now here is the highlight - the entire move was completed in 5 hours!!!! I have found my go-to moving company and will recommend them to my friends and family. GUIDO, JULIO, AND BAYRON - my newfound friends! Honorable mention needs to go to Ricardo - he was my first point of contact and everything was initiated and completed with ease. Thank you all for making this stressful day an easy move. My wife and I are eternally grateful! Edit: I received a call being informed that we were overcharged, since the deposit should be deducted from the total at the conclusion of the move. Mind you, Guido the foreman, had verbally told me that we would be charged a total, minus the deposit, so this was absolutely a honest mistake. My move was smooth, quick, and painless. As someone who has moved many, many times throughout the LA area I can definitely say this was the best experience I have ever had with movers. Because I waited until the last minute to find movers I was nervous that they wouldn't be able to accommodate me or the price would be outrageous. Thankfully, Edgar was able to help me on such short notice and got me a very fair rate. I was a given a time window between 8am and 4pm because of the short notice that I provided but Aaron and Ricardo gave me a call at 7:30 and told me they would be arriving in an hour. They arrived right on schedule and immediately got to work. My move wasn't a big one as I was only moving some furniture out of storage into my new place but they were really efficient. In all they were able to clear out my storage unit and assemble all of my items in 3 hours. I've had previous experiences where movers would slack off or dilly-dally in order to run up the time but these two were focused on getting in and out. Best moving experience ever. My aunt used this company in January and had nothing but positive things to say so I tried them for my move. I requested an estimate and they came two days later. The gentleman was very polite and told me it would take 7 hrs to move me from a 2 bedroom townhouse to a 3 bedroom townhouse. I received a call in advance saying they would be there in 30 mins and they arrived promptly. Agustin G., Antonio C, Dimas, and Everto were POLITE and FAST! They packed up my home in a hour and half which included disassembling and wrapping all furniture. When we arrived to my new home, they put down runners and I provided booties for them to wear (I have OCD when it comes to being clean) and I was throughly IMPRESSED they took off the booties to go the moving truck and put the booties right back on when they entered the home. They NEVER missed a beat. They worked without stopping and never complained when I asked them to move furniture to a different place because I couldn't determine how I wanted the room up. In short, I was impressed with their professionalism, efficiency, and even smiled while moving. I was only telling them where things were going and I was exhausted lol. I met with Jonathan who came out the week prior to my move. He was super nice and gave me the estimate later that day. They were efficient and the entire move was completed in the amount of time that was relevant to my estimate. That is a first for me. Moving usually costs me double of what they say over the phone. WHAT I DIDNT LIKE: All the paperwork. It is for my protection but it was still a lot of signatures. They are very professional and all about the safety of your belongings. So I guess this isn't a bad thing. I was so lucky to get these guys. Move started at 9:30am..... We are already done and it is 12:30pm! The price seemed reasonable. I would recommend having everything wrapped beforehand as usual with moving. Zak also was kind enough to give me a coupon. It is cheaper if you pay cash but they do have coupons through yelp also. I highly recommend this moving company! Top of the line. Our family was finally ready to take the next step and ditch apartment life. After years of hard work, it was time for an upgrade to our first home. As you can imagine, finding a moving company that was affordable and respected the items we worked so hard to earn was really important to us. Excalibur exceeded expectations. These guys were hardworking, fast, friendly and helpful! They hustled to pack up our apartment. When we got to our new home, they took great care to insure that my expectations of where everything should go were met - no matter how many times I changed my mind. When our new furnature arrived (from a different company), I asked the 'other guy' to help me move my rug two feet to fit the sofa. The other guy said they "don't do that." The Excalibur stepped in politely and asked if he could help with the rug and sofa. We made sure to stiff the stiff and instead gave our Excalibur guys the other guy's tip(s). We were so happy with the mover's work, my husband hired Excalibur to do a cooperate contract. A week later something terrible happened. My bed collapsed. Ahh! It appears our good 'ol boys forgot a key aspect of putting things back together and didn't screw in the support beams. Yikes! I called big E and they sent over a crew within 30 minutes. They fixed my bed better than when they had moved it, no questions asked!!! If something were to go wrong in a move, you want to know that the company you're working with will fix the problem.
