Highly recommend! This is going to be a little bit of a long review because there was sooooo much to rave about. First off, the movers were extremely on time! They showed already to go, we took 1 min to sign all the papers and they immediately got to work! They were EXTR careful and respectful with all our items and furniture, constantly checking in with us on what and how we wanted things moved. The process was soooo seamless, I couldn't believe how smooth everything went. All of the movers were so kind as well! One of the reasons I chose Elite was because they offered professional unpacking services. For $210 an hour I received 4 movers to move me across the street, approximately 60', for packing, moving and unpacking. Three out of the four spoke very limited English, making it impossible to communicate as I had to chase around the one guy who spoke English, and things still got lost in translation. 1) At the end of the day as I was walking through the old house, the curtains were still up. I asked them to take down the curtains, but leave the rods. I walked back across the street to the new house to check on the unpacking of the kitchen, and it wasn't until after the movers had been gone about 10 minutes that I walked back to the old house And noticed that they had also taken down all of the curtain rods. I called the movers to come back and re-hang the curtain rods, and was assured that they could come back The following day to do that. I called a couple times on Wednesday, again on Thursday, and kept getting the runaround that someone would call me back. Friday rolls around and I called customer service again and they tell me that for insurance reasons they can't fix their mistake and there is nothing they can do. Apparently their supervisor is out until after the 4th so I have to call again next week. In the meantime I have to pay a handyman to come back and rehang the curtain rods. 2) they unloaded my dirty dishwasher after I told them not to, because I was going to be running the dishwasher that day, & packed away the dirty dishes with my clean dishes and proceeded to unpack the dirty dishes which were visibly dirty, and shove them in random cabinets at my new house. 3) I was expecting to spend between $1500-$2000 for this move, and was told that packing materials would be a little extra. Thinking a couple hundred dollars for bubble wrap and some boxes. It's not until the company arrives for the move that they present the price list for packing materials, which are triple the price of Home Depot boxes. Had I known the price beforehand I would have gotten my own boxes. They charged me almost $1000 for packing materials! The contract says I was to get free use of wardrobe boxes, but at the end of the day I was charged for those boxes. My total bill was $3200 to move 894 ft.² (3 bed, 1 bath) plus a garage, 60 feet across the street! 4) for the unpacking service, I had them start in the kitchen. I showed them some cabinets where I would like my items. They literally started shoving things in random places, no rhyme or reason, including the dirty dishes, see pictures below. Scam artists. Very dangerous people. They will rob you blind - this is a guarantee. These guys came to move our home last week and completely lied about the estimate, attempting to strong arm my family into a move, thousands of dollars over the estimate. There were 4 shady guys who got very aggressive at me when I started to question what they were trying to make me sign. I had them leave as I was so uncomfortable and on their way out, they started flashing gang signs. Idiots. All the one star reviews on Yelp are REAL. The fake reviews are the 5 star ones. I think the owner is Val, who is also a liar and terrible human being. His son, Oren, is terrible too. Major scam artists. They should be reported to the BBB and should be out of business. OK, so we moved a lot of stuff - if we're reasonable perhaps we can accept a few things might get damaged, even if their marketing promises otherwise. I hired Elite Moving in January for a move. While they seemed like a very easy to work with company and seemed reasonably priced, beware if something goes wrong. First, during the move, the one mover who seemed to be in charge, basically extorted about a $400 tip for himself and the other movers. He said if "i took care of them", he wouldn't charge me all of these hidden fees and then named his price. Since I was concerned if I didn't pay him what he wanted they would "drop" or "lose" my stuff. Also when I asked about insurance, he basically said nothing ever happens so I'll be fine. In the stress of moving and as he rushed me through signing all of the paperwork, I didn't take the time (and should have) read the fine print. When the movers arrived at my new location, the mover said when they picked up my glass entertainment stand, one of the shelves was shattered (picture attached), which made the entire thing worthless. When I contacted Elite about the damage, I was told they don't handle claims and I had to go through a 3rd party (CSI Pros). That process was not easy and clearly designed to cause claimants to drop the claim since it is so tedious and frustrating. Even though it was not disputed that Elite was at fault, it took three months to get an offer of approx. $65 for a shattered glass piece of furniture (valued at approx $500) that I had to replace and hire someone to assemble at a cost of approx. $300. Both I and my wife were moving because we again, had to change jobs and locations. We really didn't know where to go and then one of my co-workers recommended Elite Moving and Storage. I gave them a call and immediately felt comfortable having a very pleasant experience talking to the woman who was on the phone with us. We negotiated a very fair price quote and it was very reasonable - it was actually lower than what we paid a few years earlier with another mover. I got a little concerned about that actually but I'm here now to say my experience with them was awesome. Real professional and very customer friendly. When moving day came for us - they were on time - actually waiting for us. The movers were efficient, friendly and helpful. My wife and I also had some family heirlooms which we were very worried about. They were totally careful to treat everything including the family valuables carefully. We really didn't have a lot of things - its a moderate sized townhome - but they did a fantastic job and are pro's. They helped take apart the beds and other furniture and managed to take our HUGE sofa which I never thought anyone could, down the flight of stairs to their vehicle. We had already taped our own boxes and prepared for the move. But yes, like any other moving company there are always unexpected things but I was glad to pay for everything I expected to pay. The total cost was very reasonable and most of all - I didn't have to do anything myself!!!! Elite Moving and Storage made everything effortless on our part and both I and my wife could instead focus ourselves on our new jobs instead of the hassles of moving everything. I booked Elite Moving after finding them on Google and having a very pleasant experience with Donna on the phone. Their price quote was reasonable too. I didnt check their Yelp (because honestly I hate Yelp because of how unfairly Yelp removes good reviews and extorts small businesses, but anyways...) so I kind of freaked out when I read some negative reviews about them here but decided to still give them a try. Firstly I would like to say that the people leaving negative reviews must have just been unprepared for their moves. My experience with them was AWESOME. They were on time, totally efficient, extremely friendly and so helpful and pleasant! Also they were totally careful to treat everything carefully, including the floors and doorways! I was shoving waaaaay too much crap into way too small of an apartment for waaaay too many years, and they just breezed through the job with total professionalism (and they even had to deal with gates and stairs and narrow hallways and all kinds of annoying obstacles). There were a few extra charges I wasnt fully expecting, but they were for things I honestly should have already done my damn self, but because Mario and his team were so fast and efficient, the total cost still came in right at about what I had budgeted for, so no problem at all. So in a nutshell, if you do your part and properly prepare for your move (like pack your own stuff, tape your dang boxes, and be just be ready and not lazy) it will help your movers do their job. Zero stars. Do NOT use this moving company unless you like wasting time and money. I got tons of quotes for our move from CA to Ohio and Elite gave such a low estimate that I didn't feel like I could justify going with another company. This is my fault, though, because I even had to mover come to my house and he told me they were under quoting me and they would definitely not do this move for what they had quoted. Unfortunately, I did not listen to him and ended up paying $900 more with Elite then I would have with him On the day of the move the movers came over an hour early which was very frustrating and In hindsight I should have asked them to wait because when they got there, I was breastfeeding my child and couldn't help my husband finish up some things... just threw our whole game plan out the window. That said, they were great. The only good part of experience. The delivery of the furniture was a complete nightmare. We got a call from Elite saying the furniture would probably arrive either Monday or Tuesday but they would let us know if it was going to be Monday. When we didn't hear from them Friday we assumed it would be Tuesday and made our plans accordingly; however, we got a call late Friday night from the driver who said he would be there first thing Sunday morning. We're traveling with an infant and had no desire to double up speed just to get him there so we had to jump through hoops to arrange to have someone there to meet him, we had to borrow the money from that person because they have to have cash (some kind of fraud scam?)... we finally got the sunday drop off arranged only to have the driver tell us we needed to find him help to unload. We told him we don't really know anyone there except my father who couldn't help and would only accept the delivery and pay him but he kept insisting we find help. Voicemails to elite but nothing back. The driver wouldn't unload without the cash in hand but wouldn't give a receipt until everything was unloaded. He wasted hours of my parents day, our day, no help from elite then he charged us an extra $150 because his truck was too big to drive into the driveway (That's certainly not my problem). In the end, it cost more than twice what they quoted. We did have more stuff than I gave for the quote but the guy who was loading said just with the items on the quote, we were going to pay 2000+ than what we were quoted. It's a shame but hopefully i can help someone else not get taken advantage of by writing this review because once they have your stuff, youre at their mercy especially when they ignore multiple phone calls and messages. Voicemails to elite but nothing back. The driver wouldn't unload without the cash in hand but wouldn't give a receipt until everything was unloaded. He wasted hours of my parents day, our day, no help from elite then he charged us an extra $150 because his truck was too big to drive into the driveway (That's certainly not my problem). In the end, it cost more than twice what they quoted. We did have more stuff than I gave for the quote but the guy who was loading said just with the items on the quote, we were going to pay 2000+ than what we were quoted. It's a shame but hopefully i can help someone else not get taken advantage of by writing this review because once they have your stuff, youre at their mercy especially when they ignore multiple phone calls and messages. Zero stars. Do NOT use this moving company unless you like wasting time and money. I got tons of quotes for our move from CA to Ohio and Elite gave such a low estimate that I didn't feel like I could justify going with another company. This is my fault, though, because I even had to mover come to my house and he told me they were under quoting me and they would definitely not do this move for what they had quoted. Unfortunately, I did not listen to him and ended up paying $900 more with Elite then I would have with him On the day of the move the movers came over an hour early which was very frustrating and In hindsight I should have asked them to wait because when they got there, I was breastfeeding my child and couldn't help my husband finish up some things... just threw our whole game plan out the window. That said, they were great. The only good part of experience. The delivery of the furniture was a complete nightmare. We got a call from Elite saying the furniture would probably arrive either Monday or Tuesday but they would let us know if it was going to be Monday. When we didn't hear from them Friday we assumed it would be Tuesday and made our plans accordingly; however, we got a call late Friday night from the driver who said he would be there first thing Sunday morning. We're traveling with an infant and had no desire to double up speed just to get him there so we had to jump through hoops to arrange to have someone there to meet him, we had to borrow the money from that person because they have to have cash (some kind of fraud scam?)... we finally got the sunday drop off arranged only to have the driver tell us we needed to find him help to unload. We told him we don't really know anyone there except my father who couldn't help and would only accept the delivery and pay him but he kept insisting we find help. We were moving on a tight schedule, and the original movers failed, causing us a 1 day delay. I called and spoke with Donna, and told her our predicament and the timeline we were dealing with. She said she'd call back, and she actually did! She said they had a crew available the next day. The foreman, Avi, arrived on time. He was polite, friendly, professional and immediately recognized the gravity of our situation. He did a walk through and when the moving crew arrived gave them directions that were followed to a T. When the moving crew arrived, they each introduced themselves then jumped into action! They were like a well oiled machine. They never stopped moving and packing, and repacked items that needed to be repacked. Luis was lead man and he was polite, charming, knowledgeable and professional. They did everything!! They packed, with care, our antique furniture, and even offered to separate our items for easy removal when we have our things delivered. Elite Moving and Storage came through, with our ABSOLUTE confidence and trust. For all the hard work Avi and his crew did, we found their pricing to be extremely reasonable and absolutely doable. While I had a great experience with the movers themselves, I did not have an overall good experience. When it came time for the movers to deliver my items to my new location, the guys were calling me to tell me I would have to shuttle (which I knew was a possibility) and we're trying to overcharge me! So any person would say let me call the company, they were NOT answering the phone on a Saturday. The Yelp hours stated they were open on the page. Yet they were not answering the phone! Finally someone called me back and took a look at my contract to verify, I was correct. Then I tried to call back again to confirm and no one answered! Like how do you have a moving business that doesn't answer the phone on the weekends? Hmm... So the movers themselves were great and OVER worked but the service was pretty skeptical and stressful.
