I cannot imagine having gone through this move process with any other company. We began this journey 16 months ago when my husband accepted a job in another state. We sold our home and Element came out and packed us up, put most of our things in storage for us and moved a smaller amount to an apartment while my husband put in his notice. Upon further investigating his new job was not as it had been represented, and this began the string of events over the next year and a half that caused us to have to move three more times before finally settling in Sherman. I cannot fathom working through all these changes, such as reworking our move from long distance to local, with any other company. These people became my family for the next year and a half, not just working through things but also supporting me and doing what they could to try to make things a little easier. Every single move team for every single move was absolutely top notch, professional, kind, incredibly hard working and fun to spend the day with. Because my process took so long, there was some turnover in the office but each person that came in was amazing as well. This company is a well-oiled machine and run by people who actually care. We have had some truly traumatizing moves with unscrupulous companies and we wanted to be sure we worked with one we could trust. We moved in June. It is now the end of November and we are still dealing with Element’s poor service. They damaged 3 heirloom antiques after promises of extra care and claims of expertise on their website. Fortunately we bought the extra insurance. WRONG! It is nearly six months and we have not been paid out as their substandard choice of carrier, TGI went out of business. This is after exhaustive emails with them, submission of invoices and numerous turnovers at both Element and the carrier. We are exhausted and out thousands for repairs we have had to pay out of pocket. What has Element done? You might expect a partial refund as a good faith concession but NOPE! They have had several people turnover in their customer service department and each as unhelpful as the last. Ultimately claiming this is down to the claim. They damaged my furniture, they chose a poor carrier, and we are dealing with this six months later while trying to settle into our new home. The lack of empathy, satisfaction and assistance cannot be overstated. RUN! Read More

Our experience with Element Moving & Storage was absolutely top class. Starting with Lisa who came to our house to help us work through the logistics for two separate moves - the first move of belongings from our home to an apartment and a separate second move of the remainder of our belongings to long term storage at their facility. She was very pleasant, efficient and a delight to work with. Once we executed the contract, their utility concierge was in touch with us to help coordinate the new utilities at the apartment. During the two separate moves, their Operations Manager was in touch with us daily to make sure everything was going smoothly. We had the same 3-person team for the packing, loading and moving for both of the moves across 4 days, so we got to know them pretty well. The team was very hard-working, professional, cordial, clean, efficient and easy to work with. They handled every "special request", concern or question we threw at them. We highly recommend them. We'll be using them again in the future to make our final interstate move from the apartment to our next home. Read More

I've used long distance movers before and have never had such a terrible experience. Let me start off by saying that the crew who came to load my belongings was very courteous and professional. I just can't say the same for the rest of the company. Element lost the majority of my belongings during my move. They lost pieces of my bed frame, which made it unusable. They disassembled my sofa after being loaded onto the truck and lost the legs. They also lost all of my clothing and an entire dining table set. The boxes that they did deliver were very badly beaten up and looked like they had been opened and retaped. I've attached a picture of the condition of my boxes. The crew who unloaded my belongings did not work professionally. They threw my belongings down once they got to my apartment. They did not reassemble any of the furniture, which is part of what you pay for in a contract with Element. Once they realized some of my items were missing they just got back in their truck and left. I have been trying to work with them for the past several weeks to locate my belongings or to provide me with some form of refund and they will not work with me. Even though they lost thousands of dollars worth of my belongings, the best they can do is call to other customers whose items were on the same truck and see if they mistakenly got my items. After weeks of trying, nothing has come of it. The office puts on an air of trying to help, but they rarely return or pick up phone calls. I'm not sure how a moving company can lose so many items during a move. Either the company itself has a terrible system for identifying and safe-guarding your belongings, or they contract out with some really negligent moving and storage crews. I cannot stress enough - if you are looking for a long distance mover, chose a different company. Dealing with Element to try to recover my lost items or otherwise reimburse me for the loss has been an absolute nightmare. Read More
