They picked up my belongings on May 26th, they brought my stuff on July 2nd, more than a month later, in the mean time, they did not respond, they did not care about where my stuff was, and didn't know when I was going to receive my stuff. we contracted with Nationwide Moving out of Miami, after a lot of research, came to an agreement with them and signed a contract. The night before the move was scheduled, Jorge S. called, identifying himself as the driver for Nationwide Moving and told us he would arrive to pick up our goods between 8am and 10am. Jorge actually is a driver for Easy Road Moving and Storage. They arrived on time with no one in the crew except Jorge and the one female speaking English. We were supposed to have two 26' box trucks available (with only our goods on the first truck) and Jorge arrived with a semi truck. They loaded our goods and were supposed to arrive at our new location 3 days later. When they showed up a week later, part of our goods were strapped to the outside of the truck, and had been exposed to rain and wind. All told, there was damaged items and a lot of missing items! They charged us $3300 extra for "shuttle" service because the driver couldn't drive the truck into our front yard...$3300 for a $19.95 a day uhaul truck used for 2-3 hours! this was on top of them saying we had 3300cf of goods! There was someone else's goods in the front of the truck in front of ours and the truck only holds approx 3800cf! we found when we started unpacking the boxes (they just piled everything in one room of the house and didn't put anything back together) that they had "re-packed" boxes I had already packed into wardrobe boxes and left the boxes 1/2 -2/3 empty to pad the cubic footage! NINE wardrobe boxes were like that! we contacted Easy Road Moving and told them about the missing and damaged goods and have heard nothing back from them. All told the damaged and missing goods, not to mention the overcharging they did, is approaching $23000.00! did I mention that they dropped the 52" husqvarna zero turn lawn mower off the ramp, messing up the blades and the control levers....and never mentioned it to either of us! Cost is way more expensive, Poor communication, rude phone still cannot give a delivery date even after 12 day notice and I find there are Facebook groups that try to help people get their shipped items from East Road. I did not hire Easy Road. I hired Nationwide and they subbed the job to Easy Road. I had no choice. If I had known this I would have gone with different company. These guys started off great but that quickly died out. I had all my stuff already boxed up (about 20 boxes) and it still took them over 4 hours to load out. They had issues getting my couch out of the apartment saying it had to be disassembled, took them 45 minutes to figure that out. It took them over an hour and a hour to figure out how to fit the couch in the elevator, stating again that it had to disassembled. During this process they ripped a hole through the fabric and got it dirty because they didn't wrap it properly. The movers I used to move in, Solomon and son's, had no issues and got it into the elevator and the apartment without such a fuss, no damage and no claims of having to disassemble it. My move started at 11am and its now 4pm. My couch is stuck in the hallway and they haven't even finished loading the rest of my items into the van. During the moving process one of the movers disappeared for a long time, I got him smoking his vape when I went down to the truck to get a status update. I called the customer service number 9543238181 and spoke to Giovanni who said there wasn't a manager available (on a Monday 7/25 and that she wouldnt be able available until after 5pm) and he was the dispatch or floor manager. He kept telling me my couch wouldn't fit into the elevator when I know it does because that's how I got it into the apartment in the first place. I asked him repeatedly to stop interrupting me and he quipped back, "thats fine we can talk as long as you need because you're the one who's paying $125 dollars an hour". I asked for a supervisor to call me back. Now we are in the hallway disassembling the couch that has never needed to be disassembled before. I walked in on them just standing around dumbfounded that the couch wouldn't fit but why would they care, as the floor manager reminded me, I'm the one paying $125 an hour for this unprofessionalism. Please, avoid these movers at all costs. Its not worth it. They don't know what they're doing and will rack up as many hours as possible. Now, i have tohave them reassemble my couch. Just and scam to get more money out of you. Use Solomon and Son's. They moved me i in 3.5 hours, no issues. I thought I was calling them but made the mistake of calling a dispatch moving company instead. DO NOT USE EASY ROAD MOVING. The manager called back and said they're willing to discount me for one hour of my time. That's all because she wasn't there to see what was going on. Keep in mind that they started at 11am and we didn't leave until 5pm. I have a one bedroom apartment worth of stuff. They lost the screws needed to put my couch and shoe rack back together. I gave them ziplock bags for every item that required screws. It is after 8pm. This is the worst moving experience I have ever had the misfortune of having. Keep in mind that they started at 11am and we didn't leave until 5pm. I have a one bedroom apartment worth of stuff. They lost the screws needed to put my couch and shoe rack back together. I was so impressed with the salesman, Todd, that I looked no further. I told him that my parents were moving and only taking a few pieces of furniture but all of their stuff and that they were hoarders in a 3 bedroom condo. I said I had no idea how to determine the amount of boxes necessary. He seemed confident we would not surpass 300 sq ft or 40 boxes, sight unseen. He gave me a quote of $1700 approximately. We had three times that many boxes. We needed an on site estimate. The day of the move they kept delaying due to problems and then wanted to show up at 11 pm. No. They came the following day after 7 pm and worked until 11 pm. The truck was rented, the workers were day hires (the co owner says the pick up guys were employees). The bill came out to over $4,000! Our shipment was taken from Orlando to Miami, offloaded and on loaded to a different truck heading north, a hired truck with a contracted driver. Everything and everyone is outsourced. The shipment arrived 5 days later with a few items battered and broken. No regard for boxes marked fragile, items missing and damaged. The delivery driver hired 2 helpers off of Craigslist to do the the moving. The claims process has been a nightmare and absolutely no follow ups for 3 weeks. I have officially given up on the claims company (). I have submitted documentation 3 times and the last time they wanted me to completely redo the claim because the BACK of the bill of lading was not pictured. I'm appalled. The Co owner of the company called me and said the delivery person was an employee (the driver himself told me that he is a contractor) and offered me cash for the broken and missing items. I said great! Then he sent me a docu sign saying he'd send me half when I signed the settlement and half when I took this review down. The missing items' value is around $250 to $300. They also tried to deliver also a large black suitcase with lots of items inside as it was heavy snd was unloaded with our stuff. We alerted them that it was not our item to which they replied do you want us to take it? Of course I was horrified by the response and told them yes it needs to be returned to its owner. Quickly losing faith that we would see our items. Luckily for us the gal in Bakersfield and I were in touch both trying to locate our missing belongings. After three weeks of trying desperately to get them to help, we decided to take matters into our own hands. I told Kyle we would rent a truck and go pick it up ourselves and that they could reimburse us, to which he replied no. He said they would deliver the items. After three weeks we had had enough!!! So we borrowed a car luckily but had to drive two and a half hours each way to finish their job . Unfortunately the gal in Bakersfield still has no idea where her items are & I have no idea if the Black suitcase ever got to its owner. This was by far the worst experience we have have ever had with any moving company. Consumers please BEWARE because they are very communicative and have a great customer service while trying to gain your business. But once they were paid in full they literally stopped responding towards the end. I understand mistakes happen but after giving them plenty of time to correct their mistake I felt compelled to leave this review and warn others of their complete negligence and lack of care. I told Kyle we would rent a truck and go pick it up ourselves and that they could reimburse us, to which he replied no. He said they would deliver the items. After three weeks we had had enough!!! So we borrowed a car luckily but had to drive two and a half hours each way to finish their job . Unfortunately the gal in Bakersfield still has no idea where her items are & I have no idea if the Black suitcase ever got to its owner. This was by far the worst experience we have have ever had with any moving company. Consumers please BEWARE because they are very communicative and have a great customer service while trying to gain your business. But once they were paid in full they literally stopped responding towards the end. I understand mistakes happen but after giving them plenty of time to correct their mistake I felt compelled to leave this review and warn others of their complete negligence and lack of care. We selected this company because Kyle was very helpful and communicative At the beginning of this move. However upon receiving our items we were horrified at the state they arrived in -and the customer service quickly went downhill from there. After they unloaded the truck we were missing half of our bed two boxes -one containing family photos and another one with artwork, also missing was a ladder and a level. Thank goodness we were diligent in numbering all of our boxes and writing our phone numbers on them as well. If it wasn't for that, our items would still be gone. But lucky for us the gal who they delivered our stuff to in Bakersfield reached out to us as she too was missing many items. We alerted Kyle and a gentleman named Alex who was extremely uncompassionate and rude. We told them we were contacted by the girl who had most of our missing items and they assured us they would get on it. This company hands down is the worst! I was given a quote that I agreed to. However, upon arrival and loading up my belongings the price more than doubled. I was leaving a very bad domestic situation. With my belongings on their truck, I was stuck! I had to utilize their storage for two weeks. Upon delivery a host of terrible things occurred! The company hired two random men from Craigslist to unload my possessions. Both of these men were given access to my home. This is important to state because one of the men pulled a knife on Easy Road's driver! I contacted the police and the man was subsequently arrested for having several outstanding warrants. This company put me and my family at risk by hiring this random stranger and allowing him into my home! With the men being removed from the property, I was left to unload the truck with the driver. My belongings were damaged, destroyed and a vast majority are missing!!!!! The manager has been awful to communicate with. He blamed me via email for causing the incident involving the knife. I wouldn't wish this company on anyone!!!!! Incompetent, dishonest, shady, rude, and non-caring for the disposition of your belongings! PLEASE do your homework!
