DO NOT HIRE! That is my personal opinion having just used them for my family's move into our dream home. We told them at the beginning, of all the items we own, there are only THREE items we truly care about and need to be handled with care...one of those being a beautiful, black wood dining table that no longer is made (and was almost 3k). Brothers EZ Moving is one of the most dishonest businesses I have ever dealt with! I initially scheduled a local apartment move with Hannah in September and was told it would be an estimated 3 hour job with a crew of 2 movers. The day of, the movers showed up with a crew of 3 and said they would have to charge me a higher rate for the extra man, but assured me that the job would get done faster. However during the loading phase, one of these men was basically just hanging out in the truck listening to music or playing around on his phone. Once we reached the final destination, the crew of 3 spent over an hour just trying to unsuccessfully reassemble a bedframe that they eventually ended up breaking and leaving in shambles in my bedroom. I had to haul and dispose of all the broken pieces myself, purchase a new bed frame out of pocket, and spent a week sleeping on a mattress in my living room until they could be troubled to come back and reassemble the new frame. Nevertheless, I paid full price for the original move and was assured that I would be able to file a claim and receive compensation for the over $300 bed frame that was damaged beyond repair. Two months after the move date, they suddenly cashed my initial deposit check, but I had yet to hear anything from the claims department regarding my bedframe compensation. Since that date, I have left voicemails on a weekly basis along with emails asking for any type of update my claim status, but I have received no response whatsoever from any associate of Brothers EZ moving. Prior to the move, there was always someone available to answer my questions by phone and accept my payments in person, but now it is impossible to get ahold of anyone. This is clearly them just avoiding the claim and I am in the process of filing with the BBB to help prevent others from being subjected to this same level of unprofessionalism and misconduct. ***Update: This company has chosen to respond to my public Google review in less than 2 hours since it has been posted, but has not replied to a single one of my voicemails or emails over the past 2 months. As for the claims process, I submitted all the required documentation and pictures as stated in their terms and conditions within a week of the move date, but have recieved no correspondence back from any one on their staff or in their claims department since. Mr. Gary, owner of Brother's EZ, I signed a waiver for a particleboard Ikea unit that was "Dropped" off the truck. I saw them drop it. The $10,000. custom made unit is the one in question. The doors were broken, the hinges snapped, your guy put a hole through the wood to try to fix it. Also, you charged me for 4 wardrobes, that they did not bring and threw all my clothes in the back of your truck. You offered $50.00 for the one unit which I understand, what about the other unit and the refund, Your manager, doesn't return calls and is quite inappropriate and rude. I have since opened up boxes of Inventory 2 years ago and found items stolen. I am an art dealer and I knew exactly what is gone. Your truckers had to move me 1 mile away. And they disappeared for a while, hmmm. gee maybe that is where my stuff is. I will be filing a police report. Salesman was a nice guy. The guy on the phone and the guy who came in-person. Both misled me on cost, moving date availability, and form of payment. I was willing to overlook it because the industry is always shady unless you can pay a gazillion dollars for people to move your stuff from point A to point B. They tried to charge me $500 (on each end so $1000) more than the contract stated for some reason, no explanation. That should have been a red flag that this company isn't as 5-star as they proclaim. Movers were nice. Loaded up the truck quickly. But come to find out only one mover was making the trip from FL to MD and he'd meet people up there. I didn't understand. Well, I do now. Brothers EZ Moving basically has one guy rent a truck and some day laborers to move you. Which would be fine, except what if there's a problem? So the mover showed up at the destination promptly, and unpacked the truck with some help from a third party company called Bellhops. The problem arose when they put one fist-sized hole in one wall and one thumb-sized hole in another. The mover showed it to me and tried to get me to sign a statement saying that the third party company Bellhops was responsible and if I wanted to get the wall fixed I'd have to go through them. This threw me for a loop. I declined and he said Brothers EZ Moving would just tell me the same thing. Still declined to sign. What a scam Essentially, you pay Brothers EZ Moving who in turn hire someone to do the moving and if those workers screw up then it's between you and them. If you go to a burger stand you don't expect them to in turn hire someone else to cook your burger, and if they gave you a hot dog you certainly wouldn't be okay if the burger company said, 'If you want a burger take it up with those other people you haven't made any contract with.' Other than misleading me about the cost and availability, other than the shady behavior with the holes in the walls, other than leaving about three garbage bags of blankets on some furniture they didn't bother to unwrap even after I asked them to (could have been an honest mistake), and other than the fact that they ignored my request that the boxes with Number 1 go on the first floor, 2 on the second, 3 on the third, it wasn't bad. But it was expensive as hell and although all the workers were very nice, this company is no good. I'll update this review if Brothers EZ Moving gets in touch with me about fixing the wall. It's literally dry wall and it wouldn't cost a lot to fix it. I paid five grand and I tipped each worker at both the pick up and drop off. Shady company. Read More

Horrible experience and claims process. Stay far away from this company. First we would like to apologize for the issues experienced during your move. Unfortunately, wall scuffs and scrapes do happen from time to time as it is a hazard of moving as explained in our terms and conditions. Our movers work very hard to prevent this but sometimes despite their best efforts small issues may still arise. You had a packed full truck and a trailer with no damage to furniture which leads us to believe your items were protected and your movers worked hard to protect your items. Two of the pictures included looks as if the marks could be washed off? They are not actually damaged but just scuffed? Maybe a magic eraser? This claim has been denied. We have moved several times, both in and out of state. This move was the shortest distance move but the worst come moving companies. It actually started off well-the movers were on time. After that, it all went down hill quick. They started wrapping items in blankets at first but shortly after proceeded not use blankets at all. Roughly 3/4 of the items loaded with a metal truck were with no protection and then stacked on top of each other. In addition, they ran out of space and proceeded to jam the last unwrapped items on the truck for 20+ minutes before deciding to leave items behind. They unloaded at my new house to then have to go back to my old house later that night and deliver the rest about 4-5 hours later (my new house is only 30 minutes from my old). Many items were damaged in the process including but not limited to a broken dryer panel and foot (washer and dryer just bought 6 months ago); washer and dryer dented; broken TV stand (literally a chunk broken right off); file cabinet broken where bottom draw will not open all the way along with it having multiple scratches; boxes marked "Fragile" left turned on their sides and just too many more too list. We put in a claim for damages but still waiting to hear back. Cannot recommend this moving company. Read More

BEFORE YOU CHOOSE READ THIS! I want all to know about the experience with Brothers EZ Moving. I have had the unfortunate situation of needing to move numerous times in the last 6 years. So with that, I have dealt with different movers each time. I have become somewhat of an expert on movers. So when Brothers EZ Moving showed up, something wasn't as usual. They didn't seem to have a game plan and no leadership. Well after several hours of lack luster work, I said something about it. I then had to speak with the company. Turns out for most of them it was their first day. They had never been in the moving business. The team lead was so new he didn't even know how to fill out the paper work. Remember they are paid by the hour and they certainly got me on that one. I let that go and just keep quite. Now comes the kicker. As they were moving us in, one of them dropped 2 boxes that clearly mark fragile and we saw him do it. We reported it to the team lead and he gave me a card for claims. I proceeded to follow the claims requirements. They blew me off 3 different times and 3 months later they finally came back and said that because they didn't pack the box that they would need to decline the claim. The boxes had China and some Art pieces in them. Even if it was all totaled, it would have been no more than $500. Don't let me forget that at the end they tried to charge me more than was agreed when i decided to accept their bid. So ask yourself if it is really worth trusting a company that doesn’t have qualified workers and team leads handling your valuables. I wouldn't!!!! This move was NOT CHEAP, so we expected everything to go smoothly and to be treated fairly. The move went fairly well but as the crew got down to the end of unloading, I noticed my fiancées expensive weights, Bowflex Selectech dumbbells, strewn about the truck as though they had not been secured at all. After the movers left, he realized that the dial mechanisms were broken, rendering them useless. In the interest of fairness, he found used replacement parts on eBay to offer as a solution for the claims department. We also noticed a 4 foot long deep scratch in our bamboo floor. It was obviously caused by the bottom of a carpeted cat tree because as the movers slid it into place rather than setting it down, a screw head on the bottom dug the deep scratch into the floor. We submitted a claim with several photos showing every important detail and were told a claims representative would contact us. They called my fiancé and he relayed all the information once again. We received an email days later informing us that they would not cover ANYTHING AT ALL. Their reasoning was that we should have boxed up the 2 dumbbells, at 50 pounds each. So a flimsy cardboard box was supposed to carry over 100 pounds! even though I rented 12 packing blankets for this very type of thing! A they didn't say anything about it before they were loaded. The scratch was apparently just completely dismissed as something they are not liable for in the fine print of the contract pages. My confusion is, if not these type of instances, WHAT ARE THEY LIABLE FOR??? They obviously have insurance but apparently thy choose not to use it and prefer to tell their customers TOUGH LUCK! We should've stuck with our last movers who charged almost half the price and paid for an item they damaged without issue. Lesson learned the hard way! Read More

This move was NOT CHEAP, so we expected everything to go smoothly and to be treated fairly. The move went fairly well but as the crew got down to the end of unloading, I noticed my fiancées expensive weights, Bowflex Selectech dumbbells, strewn about the truck as though they had not been secured at all. After the movers left, he realized that the dial mechanisms were broken, rendering them useless. In the interest of fairness, he found used replacement parts on eBay to offer as a solution for the claims department. We also noticed a 4 foot long deep scratch in our bamboo floor. It was obviously caused by the bottom of a carpeted cat tree because as the movers slid it into place rather than setting it down, a screw head on the bottom dug the deep scratch into the floor. We submitted a claim with several photos showing every important detail and were told a claims representative would contact us. They called my fiancé and he relayed all the information once again. We received an email days later informing us that they would not cover ANYTHING AT ALL. Their reasoning was that we should have boxed up the 2 dumbbells, at 50 pounds each. So a flimsy cardboard box was supposed to carry over 100 pounds! even though I rented 12 packing blankets for this very type of thing! A they didn't say anything about it before they were loaded. The scratch was apparently just completely dismissed as something they are not liable for in the fine print of the contract pages. My confusion is, if not these type of instances, WHAT ARE THEY LIABLE FOR??? They obviously have insurance but apparently thy choose not to use it and prefer to tell their customers TOUGH LUCK! I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone!! The sales people will say yes to anything you ask, and then reality hits when the crews call to set things up, and when they show up for your move. I was told I could pay the deposit for my long distance move and local move by check, and pay both at the same time.FALSE-when I received the call arranging the time for my long distance move, I was told that I had to have cash or certified funds for the 10% and I would have to mail a check or bring it by their office, and then the day before my local move into storage, I was once again told I needed certified funds or cash. I was told that the blankets that they used to wrap my furniture to move me out of my house would remain on in storage since it was only 6 days, and be used for my long distance move.FALSE - When the crew arrived for the local move I was told that they would be removing the blankets before placing in storage unless I wanted to buy their blankets or purchase paper blankets. After complaining, I was told they could leave the blankets on, and when the long distance crew came to take my stuff out of storage, they would have to wrap and unwrap each piece because the blankets were not “long distance” blankets. When the long distance crew came, they claimed that I had purchased the blankets and they were not unwrapping. I called because I did not want to be charged $15 a blanket, and they called me back saying they were unwrapping, and tried to blame my sister, who was there in my place, saying she told them not to unwrap. They broke a leg into 3 pieces on one of my dining room chairs, and broke the leg and cracked a whole in the wood on the underside of my bedroom dresser. To top it all off, there is NOT ONE piece of furniture that does not have dings, scratches, or chunks out of it. See attached photos, but it limits me to 10. I put in a claim for the bedroom dresser first, and heard nothing even after I sent a second email requesting acknowledgment. I put in the second claim after the long distance move and once again got no acknowledgement of receipt. 10 days after the first claim I called the office, and conveniently was told there was no one there from claims. (This was a theme, as every time I called, the person I needed to speak to was never there). I called back and once again was told there was not anyone there to speak to. We had an excellent experience with Brothers EZ Moving. The short of it: Excellent communication, on time, efficient, competitive pricing, everything was handled with care and professionalism. The long of it: We hired them to move us from one home to another 15 miles away. The estimator, Lynda, came out as scheduled and was very thorough in her estimate and in providing all the information as to what to expect and how to prepare. Daniel called me the day before the move to verify the address and the time the crew would arrive. Michael and his team arrived on time and got right to work. We hired them to pack and move our entire home except for the garage and laundry room (which we did ourselves). Everything was packed and transported safely and efficiently. They labeled the boxes well and set up all items they had broken down (beds, etc.). They took a lot of the stress out of our move and made it so easy to review and accept our estimate and coordinate the details. Please read the bad reviews written about Brothers EZ Moving before you proceed. Try Yelp, the bad reviews all have the same story. Different people with the same story. They advertise that they have professional movers, they are licensed and "fully insured" yet when damage occurs, they do nothing to make it right. Here is my story: I used this company for a small move about 1 year ago. They just moved an armoire to another room. They came on time, they were quick and polite. They offered me a discount if I gave them a good review. That is why they have so many good reviews. When we decided to move to a new house we were confident about moving with them. I made sure to tell everyone who I spoke with at Brothers that we were moving with our high-end kitchen appliances. I was told by Darryl and their salesperson Linda that they move appliances "all the time" and it wouldn't be a problem unless there was some weird hook-up. Linda came to our house to take inventory, I brought the appliances up again and also my concern for my husband's over-sized executive desk. Again I was told that the movers are professional and none of these items should be a problem for them. I asked about their insurance. They advertise that they are fully insured. I asked directly that if my property were damaged would their insurance cover the repairs? Linda said "yes". I was told that the move would cost about $1,500 to $1,700 and take 5 to 7 hours. Well, it took them 10 1/2 hours and we were left without our fridge and dishwasher. The move cost us $2,100.00.... plus...read on... On the day of the move I was asked by the team leader Mike, what was going from the items downstairs. I told him that everything was going, including the appliances. He and another guy looked at each other. The look said "Oh crap". No one told them about moving the appliances, but they said they could do it. No one knew how to disconnect the dishwasher. When a spring flew across the kitchen, and one of the guys wanted to look it up on YouTube, I told them to just leave it and move on to the rest of the stuff. After spending an hour trying to get the doors off of the fridge, they said they did not know how to do that and left it in the middle of the kitchen. They did move the stove to our new house. The day after the move I had to research and find another mover for the dishwasher and fridge($350.00) . My refrigerator cost $3,900.00 and is 5 months old. One of the doors has scratches and dents and needs to be replaced. My husband's desk is scraped up too and the staircase has gouges and scuff marks along the walls. We moved 15 days ago and so far, no one has returned a phone call ( I left 4 requests to speak with someone). I have sent 5 emails, none of them have been answered. When I call, no one who can help me is ever there. So far, this $1,500.00 move has cost us $2,550 to pay for their time and bring other movers in, repairs haven't begun yet. This is a hard review to write, because at the end of the move - I felt like the guys that were working for this company did a great job with what they were given. They were friendly, prompt, and treated my home with care and respect. This is the only move where no scratches were put on the floor, and no dents in the wall... However, the company itself did these gentleman a great disservice. We were sold a great package from this company.... flat rate estimate for two trucks + supplies. The company is highly rated on social media. The woman that came out to give us an estimate was friendly, respectful, and answered all our questions. We would have two trucks, they would assemble, disassemble, we would have the same crew loading as unloading, etc. On the day of the move a crew of 5 (or 6? I can't remember now!) showed up with their two trucks and got to work. However, it was two BUDGET RENTAL trucks. The guys were a pleasure to work with. Towards the end of the move it became apparent that they were running low on supplies. They ran out of shrink wrap, and pads. We were told that the supplies they were using were provided by Budget Rental (including the dollies, and toolkits) and they weren't the best quality or quantity. They ended up using my own towels to wrap the last pieces, including my dining room table which was severely damaged during the move. (See pictures). Again, I can't hold blame on the crew... they were fantastic! But the company did not provide them with the adequate tools to do their job well. They left our home in Florida around 3 pm and managed to deliver about the same time the next day in NC. Only two guys (the drivers) arrived to unload in NC. The other crew stayed behind in FL. We were told this was because they were returning the trucks and supplies to the budget rental here in town and getting a flight home. So not only were these guys totally screwed with the equipment, they were also screwed with the unloading. These two guys had to work their tail off, all to drive two hours south again in the middle of the night, and catch an early morning flight home on a budget air carrier. I was simply aghast at how these guys were treated and expected to do their jobs. I would be very wary at hiring this company for anything more than a short distance move. We had several things break in the move, and they were all the things that were loaded last with improper padding and wrap due to inadequate supplies. We did not report any of these damages to the moving company, which is probably a mistake. Some of the damage wasn't really apparent until after the move was complete - and according to the agreement we signed, all damages had to be reported to the foreman at the end of the move. Excellent! Our team names were: Rob, Charlie, Derrick, and Terrell. Rob was training one of the guys and kept things rolling. They were prompt, respectful, and hard workers. They lifted boxes with ease and made everything run smoothly. They all were focused on the job every second and did not ask for breaks, even when I offered one. They each reassembled bed frames and tables. Rob called me on my cell several times to give me his status or an update, as well as taking minutes off the clock when he had to go back and retrieve a forgotten item. I hired Brothers EZ Moving for an in-city move. Everything leading up to the move was good. The move, itself, was also good until the end of the loading process. The last piece that the movers brought downstairs was a sizeable wooden futon frame. They used poor judgement and decided to bring it downstairs without taking it apart. This might have worked if there were not a tight, awkward turn at the bottom of the stairs. Well, they struggled; TRYING TO FORCE the turn with this incredibly bulky item. And what made it worse is that they did NOT cover this item with the padding before attempting this complicated maneuver; they only shrink-wrapped it. After about 10 minutes of trying to force the turn with this unpadded piece of furniture, they then decided that they had to disassemble the futon frame mid-air (because they were now in such a bind that they could not go backwards up the steps or forward...what a mess!!) Needless to say, the walls did not have a chance of surviving this. There were several places where the drywall was ripped off (I will post pics). So, I thought to myself: no problem, I am sure EZ Brother will send someone to make repairs. When I asked the lead mover that question, he told me that they company does not make repairs; they will only reimburse for the damage a certain amount of $ per pound moved. Well, that did not make much sense to me. But he stated it so emphatically that I took his word for it. So, he recommended that I call the office to start the claim process. When I called the office, the gentleman (Daryl) told me that I needed to call the sales agent that gave me the quote (Lynda). When I called Lynda, she told me that I needed to call the office and and speak to Shae. So, I called the office back and left a message for Shae. She never returned my call. I admit that I did not call back to inquire until a few weeks had passed. But when I finally reached Shae, she stated that the lead mover was completely incorrect in telling me that the company does not make repairs. And that I could send her the pics and she could send someone out to repair. But the problem is that my former property manager had already made repairs at this point and deducted the cost from my security deposit. I offered to contact my property manager to obtain an itemized cost of the repairs to the drywall. When I called Lynda, she told me that I needed to call the office and and speak to Shae. So, I called the office back and left a message for Shae. She never returned my call. I admit that I did not call back to inquire until a few weeks had passed. But when I finally reached Shae, she stated that the lead mover was completely incorrect in telling me that the company does not make repairs. And that I could send her the pics and she could send someone out to repair. But the problem is that my former property manager had already made repairs at this point and deducted the cost from my security deposit. I offered to contact my property manager to obtain an itemized cost of the repairs to the drywall. But Shae said that it did not matter at this point; Brothers EZ Moving WILL DO NOTHING to reimburse me for the damage that they caused....that I ended up paying for. What is most upsetting to me is that this all occurred because of negligence at multiple points: 1. The movers did not use common sense and take the futon apart before attempting to bring it down and around that very tight and awkward turn. 2.The movers DID NOT PAD this very bulky piece of furniture. 3. The lead mover mis-informed me about their policy on reimbursement vs. repair. 4. I just moved locally within Tampa over the past weekend and can't say one negative thing about my experience. Every single person I spoke with or emailed with was professional, courteous, and extremely accommodating. I found Brothers EZ Moving while doing a search on Yelp looking for reputable moving companies. (I'm not from Florida, so I rely heavily on other people's reviews and experiences). I requested moving quotes from approximately 8 or 9 different companies, but I received a call from Branden with Brothers Moving within 30 minutes of submitting my online quote request and was provided with a complete breakdown of the cost of my move. Not only did I receive the most reasonable and affordable quote, but Branden was also nice enough to offer me a small discount since I found them through Yelp. I asked for the early morning slot on Saturday, July 30th and that's exactly what I got! Matt and Alex arrived at my house just before 8 am, where Matt did a quick walk through to see what I had and then they immediately got to work. Moving is always stressful for me, but Matt and Alex were so pleasant and efficient, it made the process feel like a breeze. They even had all of the belongings in my two story town home moved into my second floor apartment in approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes! I was incredibly impressed and VERY happy!! I contacted Brothers EZ Moving to get a quote to move from my apartment to my new home in Riverview,FL. aI met with a gentleman by the name of Matthew who provided me with an excellent quote. When moving day came the movers arrived on time and all three gentlemen were very professional and friendly. The gentleman took the time to pack all of my items carefully and when my furniture arrived at my new home there wasn't any damage. So, we haven't gotten our stuff to where we're going just yet but I thought I'd post regarding the packing process and then update when they unload or if anything changes! So, as far as the packing process is going - I couldn't be happier. They did come a little behind schedule but they called to notify us of the delay, sent more than enough men (Rob, Prince, Brian and Shawn) to make up the time and now they're zipping around the apartment working like bees. One thing I really love is that they're talking to each other... If they need help or have a question about how to pack something, they ask each other. Serious team work. And even better, they communicate with US about what we want and then make it happen. Also, they are meticulous with wrapping my furniture. They've covered everything in moving blankets and wrapped everything tight. MOST IMPORTANTLY, they aren't banging around my furniture as they move it from the apartment to the truck. So far so good! I can't really say enough good things about this company. Everyone was super nice and professional - from the initial inquiry with Shea to the our movers, Josh and JerseyMike. It was simple to get a quote from the moving company (we packed all of our own stuff and just had them move it for us). We came up with a list of things that we wanted to have moved (piano, bookcases, couches, etc) and they gave us an estimate on how much time it would take. It was pretty much a flat fee from there. Josh and JerseyMike arrived 30 minutes earlier than we originally agreed on with Shea - but Josh called us first to make sure it was okay...and we were extremely glad that they did show up early. Both guys were super nice, friendly, and very considerate with our belongings. They worked efficiently and were courteous to me and my husband. It went fine; better than expected, and much better than the day deserved. It took longer than expected because I had a lot of stuff - It did not look like a lot of stuff until it overfilled the truck. The crew came on a Friday to pack and returned on Saturday to do the move. They packed carefully and only one piece of pottery was damaged in the move. The crew was fast, and friendly, and careful with my things. The move was complicated by a solid day of wind and rain. The driver was able to move the truck close to the overhang from the garage, and the crew staged the move in the garage to minimize the amount of running in and out of the home dripping wet. It was nevertheless a miserable day to move. Conditions were slippery, and soaking wet. They had to move very quickly to keep things from getting drenched and the strong wind made running up and down the ramp dangerous. The crew was careful to wrap everything to keep it as dry as possible. They loaded the truck carefully to prevent damage from the rain. The move was further complicated by some extremely heavy furniture - like moving a house full of pianos. The crew maintained their good dispositions, never complained, and worked diligently to get the job done.
