Absolutely recommend!!! This is a real honest review! Nika and Gio were more than amazing!!!!! They were a bit late but made up for it BIG TIME! They helped moving more than was first asked and were kind and smailing the whole time. No hidden fees, no Hussle. Fair price as determined from the beginning. David and Irakly did a great job moving my piano. Due to a miscommunication and they didn’t realize there would be stairs but adjusted on the fly and with only two guys made it happen. We used Big Apple Movers to transport a lot of stuff from our Manhattan apartment to our new country house in the boondocks over two hours away in Sullivan County. We had a few calls to iron out the details. From the first phone contact, the contact person, Milos, was friendly, professional and responsive. The moving guys were very congenial. They loaded efficiently, with incredible care, and had all the tools they needed to protect our things, which included an old sewing machine. We met them at the new house the following day after we closed on the house. The movers were on time and very cooperative about where to place everything. We highly recommend Big Apple Movers! In sum: I'm giving Big Apple a bad review because they damaged my furniture.  Otherwise, I'd be giving a much higher rating. I had initially asked for a quote, but decided to go with Moishe's.  Big Apple's owner talked me into giving him my business instead.  I guess I wish I hadn't. To be fair, the good: Big Apple gave me a decent price, showed up on time, and were generally friendly and relatively professional. The bad: the movers badly damaged our dining room table.  It has deep scratches and gouges (I've posted some photos).  My wife actually saw them do it, and heard the mover say "oh sh*t" as it happened. I brought this to the owner's attention and asked him to pay for repair or replacement.  He responded by email that "all movers have damage" (I have moved many times and have not found this to be the case) and offered me $25, a fraction of what it would cost to repair the table.  He basically told me that since I hadn't paid for extra insurance, he was unwilling to do more. I do not feel that Big Apple took responsibility for the damage they caused to our furniture, and I would not hire them again. Read More
