One star is WAY too generous unless you want them to be seeing stars. STAY AWAY AND REPORT TO THE POLICE AND SMALL CLAIMS COURT! ABSOLUTE WORST CASE OF UNJUST ENRICHMENT! They will appear professional, then representative you are dealing with will have a number no longer in service shortly after you deal with them and they get what they want. You will go over the inventory, and still have no clue what they are to take because the workers they will send to pick up and deliver your things will not have a list or other necessary documentation. They will; however, take a video of your belongings to send back to their boss, who will then demand more money or claim there is no room in the truck/trailer. They WILL NOT tell you the estimate is by cubic feet, NOR will these scammers tell you that you will be sharing A HORSE TRAILER with MULTIPLE PEOPLE! (that alone is a HUGE liability). They will show up HOURS late. The so called movers will likely to be people with absolutely no strength to lift anything. Before anything can be done you must sign an ADDITIONAL document under DURESS while you are already stressed and exhausted from waiting all day. No one is given any time to read the "contract." Hopefully what they take isn't of importance because according to the statement, which they will not even give you a copy of, they can keep your belongings hostage for over a month. (That's in violation of the FMCA). I told them this and that the police will be involved if they do not return my belonging within 21 days. They claim it isn't stealing because of the contact. I was told verbally and in the so called contract that I would be given a 24 hour notice prior to the delivery date. I was notified FIVE HOURS BEFORE! Thank goodness I was in town. The "movers" only accepted cash or payment through cash apps such as Zelle. No one told me a money order was acceptable until it was too late. Most banks are closed or close early on Saturdays. I could not write a check because another company stole my entire banking information. These people show up LATE AGAIN and my mouth fell to the ground. NO PAD LOCK ON THE TRAILER NO VISABLE LICENSE PLATE RUSTED CHAINS HOLDING THE TRAILER TO A PICK UP TRUCK BROKEN DOOR ON THE TRAILER WITH DUCK TAPE TO PATCH IT UP That THING was in no condition to drive on an interstate. Also I'm pretty sure that trailer did not even have break lights. I demand my things back, stating that the contract has been breach and no longer valid. At this point it isn't even about my things. It is about all the people who got scammed like we did. I want justice! Oh, when asked to provide a statement that StarlineVanline has no association with the company, I was lied to MULTIPLE times. The customer service representative said they contacted the bank and left a voice mail. Regions bank does not even HAVE A VOICE MAILBOX! I called back several times and mentioned that the bank has not heard from them. I provided both in writing AND other the phone my bank, the branch, AND banker information. I understood that perhaps the statement could not be sent to the bank directly, but somehow I was denied a statement to my personal email. Why would customer service go back on their word or refuse to send a simple note or speak with the bank. As the damage/loss value is over $20K, in May 2022, a lawsuit was filed in Civil Court against America's Movers - the only recourse for a "fair/reasonable" recovery of damages. My current suit is in process, in October 2022. The pictures tell the story and illustrate the level of poor performance received from America's Movers. They offered $497.08 to compensate for apartment property and $15,307 in household items damages. America's Movers owner correspondence, "Your claim check will be for $497.80. Please confirm your address and name to make the check payable to." To Better Business Bureau, "We feel we have done our best to resolve this issue. We stand by the service we have provided. After reviewing his claim and pictures of his damaged items, we feel the claim check for $497.80 is sufficient." As a consumer, I strongly suggest doing your research, comparing multiple movers (and not on price alone) acquiring the extra insurance independently, and assessing the legal process if your move (with whomever) does not go as planned. I was pressed on time to relocate for a job/position, and incorrectly trusted the word of America's Movers. This was my first move by a professional moving company and I was apprehensive. I was moving from Key West, O Mile to the top of Florida, Santa Rosa Beach, Panama City area. When Andre, the Foreman walked in, he immediately put me at ease. By the way he was a Linebacker on a football team. He laid out all the paperwork and said to read it. He explained everything in simplistic terms. He was precise and in charge. Right off the bat, I was put at ease. He and Meeka, his helper did their walk through and analyzed the situation. They worked for 7 hours straight moving my things with no breakage. They packed the truck with absolute precision. Not one item was broken, they delivered right on time with everything in tact. Unfortunately, like others have posted here I had a bad experience with Americas Movers. I paid Americas Movers August of 2019 to move my 2 bedroom apartment. I told the movers that I would move my own TV's as I didn't get boxes for them and preferred to move them carefully myself later. However when the driver arrived he said they could box it up for $70 to which I said "no" and I'd take them myself. He persisted to say they would move them and box them for free as long as I took care of them (give them a tip). I ultimately said "ok" and they moved 3 TVs. In the end the biggest and nicest and newest TV got damaged to where a repair would be $2.5k. I contacted americas movers and have sent countless of emails and communicated with "Tony". I filled out the form for claims and explained the situation and basically they did not seem interested in resolving this by paying for the damages done. I understand there is insurance you can put on your items, however if I had told the driver that I would move them myself and he persisted to move them as long as I gave a good tip, then it should be on them and their employees to pay for damages. I wanted to like this company but unfortunately after a lot of back & forth they just stopped replying to emails and never even got back to me on my claim after saying they could take 60 days, well it's been a freaking year and nothing. Moving can be stressful, to begin with. I hired America's movers inc on 10/20/2018, and I have to say that it was the worst moving experience of my life. The original appointment time was 9 AM, and the drivers arrived at 10 PM. We packed up most of the stuff they said they were too tired and would not be able to bring my furniture to the new address. So I called out of work the next day. Cary promised me everything would get done the same day. One of the drivers decided to EMPTY their bowel at my old address, did not flush the toilet and lit up a cigarette. How disrespectful was that? They needed up leaving my refrigerator behind because they had another customer furniture in the truck. Three days later they finally delivered my refrigerator.
