The most disrespectful people I have ever dealt with my whole life. I'll give it to Steve for being one heck salesman, he told a very good story and had me believing that this is a legit business. Horrific experience, just check yelp please for the other honest reviews. They are brokers, they never moved my belongings with their company. They contracted with someone else. The humiliation they caused time after time on the phone was just horrible. All I wanted was honest answers. Omar told us the whole time while in our home that he was our driver. All lies. Our move was from California to North Carolina. Originally quoted for our belongings around 5K. When they came to load, we ended up spending over 11K. Not to mention, they never even delivered my belongings because their logistics is completely unreliable. The truck they contracted with couldn't even fit in my neighborhood. Therefore I was forced to pay extra to have a separate moving company unload everything onto a smaller truck. When I tell you this company is a complete fraud and horrible, I'm saying the absolute least. The last straw was my stolen AirPods... Anthony spoke to me and told me he would be happy to replace my stolen AirPods if I would consider removing my review! Blackmailing at its finest. I agreed after he said: of course it is completely up to you once you receive your AirPods... well that was yet another lie. They would not, and refused to deliver my AirPods until I actually removed the reviews. Blackmailing in 2023 folks, real life here. Attached are just some of the correspondence. My moving estimate was also doubled from the initial estimate I received to what I was actually charged on site. The original quote I received was approximately $2000, and was billed the day of the move for approximately $5000. Went over the phone. I was insured that the quote I received was worst case. I live in a one bedroom one bath apartment, where this steep of a moving charge is not justified. The movers assigned to my job were very unprepared and inexperienced. The movers also did not show up with the proper materials, which required me to make multiple Home Depot and Lowe’s runs to grab items such as boxes, packing paper, and tape, which they should have been prepared to come supplied with. These guys were first class! Recommended by a friend who recently moved from Louisiana down to Florida. With the cost of moving, I quoted several companies from NC down to FL. My Mom recently passed after battling cancer for 5 years. It was a traumatic experience having to pack everything up and move it back home. They did all the work. Many family heirlooms, all which arrived safely. They were reasonably priced compared to the the other bids I received. They made me feel like family with the communication and breakdown of services provided. If I ever have to move again (Pray to God this is it), they will be the first company I call. DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT PAY THESE SCAMMERS A SINGLE DIME!!! UPDATE 10/10/22: They are now practicing extortion after I exposed them online!!! (See pictures below.) They are deliberately holding my items and refusing to give them to me until I remove my review and pay them more money. Disgusting people! I'm in the middle of moving my stuff with them from California to Florida and I'm literally going through HELL. These crooks have deceived me in every single statement they have spouted: that delivery would take 7 days (LIES), that they are not brokers (LIES), that they wouldn't sell my job (LIES), that they would pick up my stuff on time (LIES; it has been 3 weeks since that day), that I can pay everything with credit card (LIES, the 3rd party movers on site will practically BLACKMAIL you to Zelle them), that packing and materials are included in the quote (LIES again). I'm not even going to bore you with the other details because every other 1-star review is basically narrating action-by-action the same HELL I'm in with these inconsiderate criminals. And their Customer Service... For Christ's sake, what a joke! They are a bunch of rude, unprofessional, D-class, lying thieves. The lady literally entered in a shouting contest with me while on 3-way with their subcontracted mover. Before this, no calls back, no emails back, no texting back, no nothing. Literally right after my $1000 deposit to Mike they disappeared and went radio silent until pick-up day (aka, payday) when they tried to upcharge me. Thank God I paid the deposit with credit card!!! I hope you print every single email, text, missed phone call, recorded voice note, and make a nice little throphy insert out of it for the biggest lying piece of salesmen you are. Literally everything you swore you wouldn't do you did - delayed my pick up, delayed my drop off, forced for cash payments, upcharged me on pick up, stopped responding... By far the worst experience I've had with a moving company. I was hesitant at first to book the job and I should have followed my instincts. However, Edgar (the sales guy) assured me over and over that Allegiance was a family owned company with an outstanding reputation and they NEVER use third party or broker moving companies to service their clients. That was a flat out lie! After constantly going back and forth with Edgar about my concerns, he made me feel comfortable enough to book my move by paying my deposit. Once my move was booked for Wednesday, on Tuesday, the day before my move, Frankie (dispatch) called me to change the date to Friday due to a lack of truck availability. I was flexible and pushed my move to Saturday instead because I had a funeral to attend on Friday. Everything was confirmed, but then I received a call on Tuesday evening from the movers themselves (Leo) stating they would be there Wednesday morning. I told them Frankie rescheduled and he claimed he didn't know anyone named Frankie. I contacted Frankie and she said that was one of her guys and she cleared up the confusion so they will be there on Saturday. The next morning the movers showed up at my home with an unmarked truck to start my job and I told them they weren't supposed to be there until Saturday. I called Frankie and sent them away and she confirmed they would be back on Saturday. Saturday came and the movers arrived again and I was confused as to why they didn't have anything with the AVL brand or logo on the truck or attire like on the website and I asked if they were with AVL and they said no, the job was brokered out to them and AVL brokers out roughly 90% of their jobs. You can see the carrier name on his paperwork was "your way movers" which is NOT on my contract I signed with AVL. I was very upset because I was adamant when I booked with Edgar that I was going with them for the sole purpose of not using a brokered moving company. Which he assured me that AVL does not do. I called customer service and conveniently I was unable to reach Edgar or Frankie. Another guy spoke to me and was extremely rude saying I would forfeit my deposit if I didn't go ahead and let the broker company handle my move. He also said this happens often because the sales team makes their money off of the deposit, not the completed move. I sent the movers away, also the quote Edgar gave me was for only 40 items to be moved and he left off about 100 items which the movers told me would double my estimate. Would NOT recommend Allegiance moving company or any of their services. First, they are a broker company, something that was never mentioned to me the process. They do not actually perform the move but use another moving company, therefore making communication very difficult. When I had difficulties with the move, arrival, and drop-off Allegiance would simply blame the moving company and would tell me "That is your problem, not mine". Working with Zack was horrible. After he made the original sale, I have never been able to get ahold of him. He has ignored my calls and emails for almost 3 weeks. Additionally, the customer service and communication with the dispatch managers have been seriously flawed. The customer service line, if they answer, is rude and quick to blame the customer or some other party rather than speak kindly and help arrive at a solution. I was promised my things would arrive in 7 days, to find out later that it would take nearly 3 weeks. Finally, Avi Amrani, the drop-off dispatch manager was horrible to work with. He was unkind, brash, and blatantly disrespectful. When I called to bring up concerns about the mud/clay/floor damage the movers had conducted during drop off he told me, "That is not my problem, that is yours." When I brought up the piles of trash/cardboard left in my apartment he said, "You can pick up the trash." He was rude and only wanted to receive the money, then was quickly unavailable.
