This was a huge time consuming, to say the least, move from one Assisted Living/Memory Care community in Ft, Myers, FL to another Assisted Living/Memory Care Community in Naples Florida. All my Sons moved 9 Residents belongings and managed not to break or lose a single item! Their truck was divided room by room which made the process flawless! Kevin Huff, the Sales Specialist was there to help through the entire move! Robert, the driver and crew lead was Amazing as well!! I am so grateful and appreciative to them for all their help and the long hours that were spent in this move and making sure that everything was done to our satisfaction! They went and above and beyond at 9:45pm to locate a tv that was placed in a wrong resident room and returned it to the rightful owner! Thank you again! Do NOT trust this company with your things. I used this mover to take things from my apartment to a storage unit. The have damaged or completely broken multiple items and instead of taking responsibility for their actions they hid the damaged pieces hoping that I wouldn't find out or see what they had done. I now have two ruined leather couches that are full of rips from where they dragged the pieces across concrete and when I asked them to stop were passive aggressive and rude stating "well she says it's real leather". They scratched and ruined the tops of a custom painted antique dresser and matching desk, the matching chair and armoire also need to be repaired. And they broke the foot off of an organizer and then taped it back together and stuck it in a corner hoping I wouldn't find it. They also waisted time trying to milk the clock as much as possible. These 'professionals' sat on the ground playing with a screwdriver for an hour. When I called about the waisted time, not yet knowing the extent of the damage they had caused, the operations manager Louis promised to refund me that waisted hour and get me started on the claims packet. He said we would speak again when the job was done. When I called back his entire attitude had changed and he was downright nasty saying that the ripped up couches could just be repaired and it wasn't a big deal. My question is why should I have to do that? Why should I have to find someone to repair items that I payed this company to move safely. Why should I have to go out and find someone to refinish custom painted antiques. Why should I have to take time out of my life to fix what they ruined?? TERRIBLE COMPANY - BAIT AND SWITCH - THIEVES - LIARS - NOT PROFESSIONAL - MOVE SLOW - OVER CHARGE - SCAMMERS. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY, YOU WILL REGRET IT. The office in Fort Myers, Florida did a bait and switch on rates, and overcharged. The Corporate Office in Texas will not return calls and they do not care that their franchise is dishonest. Read reviews on the BBB website too. YOU WILL REGRET USING THIS COMPANY. I was given a quote by Logan and a lady in the office. It was $139 per hour for 2 men, with a 2 hours minimum and must cover 1 hour drive time (making it 3 hours minimum). On February 24th before my move date on February 27th, Logan called and was telling me it is 3 hours minimum, plus one hour drive time. I told him that was not our agreement and after going back and forth, he finally agreed to what he had initially told me (2 hours minimum plus one hour drive time). It was kind of like a "bait and switch" 3 days before my move, as if I would be forced to accept the new terms. Upon arrival at 5:15PM, Louis the lead supervisor and I agreed that he started my move at 5:15PM, he handed his phone to me with a dirty screen and told me to initial each box, I asked what I was signing and he said "it's to confirm what time we arrived, and you are paying for 3 men." They had arrived several hours late and brought an extra person to help, but I hired and agreed to pay 2 movers - not 3. I called and spoke with Logan and he agreed to not charge for the 3rd mover. They started at 5:15PM and finished at 8:15PM, Louis the supervisor onsite agreed to the arrival time and when the job was done at 8:15PM. They charged me for 4 1/2 hours, and they only worked for 3 hours. They made me pay at the end of the move or would not unload my furniture. They were basically holding me and my stuff "hostage" although I told them the rates and gas charge were incorrect. I requested a refund for the 1.5 hours and Logan told me no. They also charged for gas and no one mentioned this to me during any of the 3 conversations prior to the move when we agreed on the hourly rate, Logan told me it was in the contract - the only "contract" was a copy after the fact that I was forced to sign after they arrived at my house while the clock was ticking, a very lengthy document on a phone screen that you can't even see, I asked the supervisor and trusted him. NO ONE EVER TOLD ME I would have to pay for gas which they charged $112.59. They owe me $112.59 plus $208.50 for the time they did not use for my move. They moved so slow that my son and I moved almost everything out of the apartment while it took all 3 of the movers to wrap my sofa, loveseat and bed with plastic wrap. All 3 gathered around to wrap each piece. It was laughable and that alone took 1.5 hours. I've NEVER experienced anything like this with any other moving company. I tried to resolve this with the corporate office at this Texas location, and tried to reason with the movers I hired. I was hopeful they would do the honest thing and refund what they owe me, but they refuse to do so and corporate doesn't care enough to return my calls. It's sickening. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I was extremely frustrated at this point because all they had to do was take it right to truck. At this point, one of the workers wanted to go to the store to get some ice. As I’m paying them hourly, I kindly offered them ice from my apartment, to which the worker got extremely rude with me. Dan was supposed to drop off wardrobe boxes 3-5 days prior to the move. We had to call to remind him and he ended up leaving them inside my garage the day before. I happened to walk out as he was leaving and he sped off to avoid any conversation, we thought that was weird but hey no big deal. Moving day the truck is supposed to be there 8-9am as they have to pack and it's a 2.5hr drive. They showed up at 9:15 (again, no big deal) but the main guy (Alex) proceeds to tell me that they called him back into the office and switched up his crew. Alex was experienced and a good mover. The other 2 were 21 years and only had 5 weeks of moving experience. They did not do a good job. They took forever to pack the truck and we're supposed to be in Port St Lucie at 2-3pm. They didn't get there until 8pm. They were at my home until 11:30pm. They dented the walls and broke some baseboards. My wife had enough and told them to stop. That the crew that was coming tomorrow to finish the job will be the ones to carry things up and to build the stuff that was broken down. Worst move experience EVER - so much broken and left at the old address it's crazy. Here's the kind of care provided in the move: dropped an antique table on the road in Fort Myers but took the table to Brandon leaving the piece in the road. It was later picked up by someone who asked if we lost it. Antique dresser with beveled mirror broken but the movers told the client that it was taken out for safety and boxed - LIE! Large oak cabinet dragged across the concrete until they noticed I was there and then they picked it up after damage done. Broken cabinet is dragged across the floor - the ceramic caster is lost, wood damaged and floor left with scratches. Three glass lamps put in one box with no wrapping around them - only packing material was paper to fill the top of the box. Antique chair broken - missing parts never found. Christmas items box crushed with contents broken and the movers tried to hide it in the garage. Expensive photograph broken when mover dropped it and he said he would just throw it away - thank goodness we saw it and stopped him from throwing it away. broken lamps, crushed shades - all items packed by All My Sons. Computer monitor put face to face with nothing to protect the screen and then tape wrapped around the monitors - no blankets or security at all. Dozens of items left at the original home because movers said they wouldn't fit on truck -- should have been no problem because we already had moved an over stuffed chair, corner cabinet, and three car loads of boxes and breakable items. We've moved about six times in our lives - minor moving damage is expected. GROSS NEGLIGENCE is unacceptable - there is a reasonable care doctrine that must be followed when moving items. All My Sons then wants you to file a third party claim for 60 cents per pound. First things first is I felt like a hostage as they would not unload any of my belongings till I signed the waivers, and insurance waiver based on .60/per pound when I wanted full coverage and stated it to the Moving Consultant, Ray Wood and the Driver. The team destroyed a leather sectional couch breaking the leg completly off the frame of the couch where it is now totally un-repairable. As well took a dresser and smashed in the bottom and dented the front drawers. The move was less than 10-miles from a rental home to a permanent home and the lasted over 9-hours and we had everything boxed, taped and ready for the move. They took a break every 20-minutes as well wanted to chit chat with us everytime they came in the house to take another item. THEN with three items remaining wanted to get paid OVERTIME based on a QUOTE from Ray Wood. This company and the game they play by keeping you hostage to sign off on the paperwork before unloading is a SHAM and a DISGRACE to teh moving companies. Now I have a leather sectional couch that is destroyed and useless that I will have to PAY SOMEONE to get rid of it. COMPLETE JOKE AND MY BELONGINGS DESTROYED!!! The generic answer was exactly what I expected from you! YOU FAILED TO DEVULGE THE INSURANCE FACT TILL AFTER MY BELONGINGS WERE PACKED ONTO THE TRUCK! The Driver admitted this as well after arriving at the new home...THEREFORE the hostage situation takes place...YOU WANT YOUR BELONGINGS THEN SIGN AND WE WILL UNLOAD.
