I am very, very disappointed and pissed/upset with All My Sons. I have used All My Sons 3 times for my moving needs. My first move was absolutely wonderful. So, naturally, I decided to use them again. I used All Sons to move my belongs from an apartment to a storage unit (belongings stayed in air-conditioned storage for 10 months) and from the storage to my new house. I had several large items (bed, electric fireplace, couch) that were severely damaged (deep scratches, chunks of the wood had broke off and were missing, holes in my couch, pieces of my bed were missing so now I can't safely lay in my bed, the top of my fireplace was completely detached, etc.) so much so that I will not be able to use them moving forward. Additionally, when my movers (Orlandis and JT; they were great BTW) were moving my items out of storage, they continuously noted that the movers who moved me from the apartment did not properly wrap my TVs, couch, desk, and other items. JT even called his manager while in the middle of the move to inform him how poorly my items were stored. JT's manager sent me a link to file a claim. However, after 5 attempts and a rejected email, I have yet to receive a claims packet. I even spent 40+ min on the phone stuck listening to their automated message trying to get in touch with someone to file a claim. At this point, I feel like I was lied to and that this company never intended to do right by me and give me the opportunity to file a claim/ reimbursed for my damaged items. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! This company is a joke. I have attached the quote they gave me. It said that they would send 3 professional movers. 2 of the guys they sent had never moved anything before and it was their first day on the job. They could barely lift any of the furniture. Not sure what the definition of professional is, but I am pretty sure it doesn't mean, no experience at all. Needless to say, they ruined A LOT of my furniture. These guys were scooting wood furniture, on its top, across concrete and the truck bed. No furniture pads at all. They also said that someone from All My Sons would be calling me throughout the move to make sure everything was going good. NO ONE ever called. I submitted my claim and all they would give me is $387. I have a sideboard from Crate and Barrel that is completely ruined and unrepairable that cost me $699, and that was one of the many pieces they ruined. Even though All My Sons failed to live up to their end of the contract , they tell me that all I am only going to get is 60 cents per pound... PER POUND. Just an FYI, they also charge by the hour. Needless to say, my move took longer than they expected so they started charging me overtime rates. I have used 3 men and a Truck many times and have never filed a single claim. I actually went with All My Sons because they were associated with the Cowboys. Big Mistake. I will never make that mistake again. My next email will be to the Cowboys. We were quoted 6 hours for 4 men and a truck. They charged us for 11 hours with 3 being overtime and at least 30 minutes for lunch. Upon arrival their paperwork was wrong. They wanted to charge me $50 more per hour for 5 men but we only had 4 men there. (Of course I was charged for the time we stood there arguing). I had everything disassembled before they arrive. The workers moved extremely slowly which seemed intentional so that they could milk the clock for more hours. One worker must have taken 20+ smoking breaks while one of the others was constantly on his phone. Each piece of furniture they moved, they would take about 15 minutes to discuss how they were going to move it before taking action. At one point 2 of the guys were just sitting on my staircase doing nothing. I didn’t end up having them move some of the items I had originally requested because of how long things were taking. They arrived at my house at 8:45 am and finished the job at 6:00 but I was somehow charged for 11 hours ( I will be disputing this). My dresser and headboard were damaged in the move. I’m hoping that they insurance I paid extra for actually ends up covering it but with how shady all this was, I’m not holding my breath. Over all, I was charged almost 3 times what I was quoted. I was told the men were quick and efficient but they clearly were not. Thank God I also rented a 26’ truck from U-Haul and had friends and family helping. We loaded and unloaded the U haul between the time All My Sons moving company left one house and arrived at the new house (a 25 minute trip). Worst and most costly experience of my life. And the rest of our items showed up 3 days later. We unpacked empty huge boxes that just had paper and old tape rolls. No wonder they “ran out of room” China and glass were tossed in boxes while a pillow was wrapped? None of the hardware was with the furniture items. So many items were broken, office chair, china, glass, new TV, pots, the rest of the furniture has gashes and finish scratched off. Clothes were hug with tape instead of hanging bar. And more empty huge boxes packed with one or two items. They didn’t even unwrap furniture and put it together because they lost the hardware. They literally left blankets and everything wrapped. We called and got a quote of $150 hour. We LITERALLY just moved apartment units. SAME APARTMENT JUST A DIFFERENT BUILDING. ITD TAKE 1MIN TO DRIVE BETWEEN THE TWO. Our $150hrly came out to a little over $900!!!!! This was for 2.5 hrs of work, moving from one unit to another in the SAME COMPLEX. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, I WILL NEVER AGAIN! I cant believe my husband actually paid that.....I'm shocked, such a RIP off! After speaking with this person whom commented below she offered me $250 back, when I didnt accept, she told me she would get with her manager and the next day she emailed me saying, my husband signed off on everything, so it is what is is. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They also damaged my drawers and heres the tape we were charged for that was left with us and not barely used. The movers told my husband they had to work 3 hours minimum, we were told 2, they charged us 3 hours even though they only worked 2. She told me the movers have to call when they're done. After having a bad experience in Arlington I went with a bigger company assuming that they would do a quality job. To start, I was to be the last move of the day to ensure I had enough time to grab my truck for my move to NC. A gentleman called the day before and I assured him I did not mean to be done late in the evening as I just needed to pick my truck up and told him around 1-2pm should be fine. On Tuesday (the day of the move), I hadn’t heard from anyone by 2:45pm so I gave them a call. They let me know that the movers just finished up a job an hour away and would be at my place soon. Called again at 5:10pm asking where the movers were. Was then told that they were driving from Fort Worth to my apartment in Mansfield (different from the initial location) and would be there in soon. These movers finally show up at this point at 6:15pm. At this point, I had already put some boxes and furniture in the truck and thought they would be able to reorganize and move it around as they saw fit. Instead, I really should’ve known better when these guys started to move boxes into the truck before big/heavy furniture as I have seen previously. I also provided blankets for them to use however they saw fit. They used some but not all that were provided. The drive itself was long (about 16-18hours) and full of traffic. I understand boxes are going to shift and scratches may happen with a drive like this….but this is ridiculous. If someone had just communicated wrapping something more or going to pick up more blankets I would’ve done it. I have never had my boxes smashed like this either. Note that even the movers that helped me unload said these guys did a bad job (All My Sons in Charolette). It really pains me to leave this review. The movers themselves were really nice. I have never been more disappointed or dissatisfied with a company before today. First, they are NOT honest nor very forthcoming with their prices. The reason I hired them was because of I was told there was no hourly minimum and no hidden fees. I asked two different people (I really hope they record their lines cause this will prove me right) if there was a minimum hour and they said no, I will only be charged the hour and pro-rated for the next. I also asked if there were any other hidden charges and I was told no. That was a lie! When my movers showed up and started wrapping all my furniture, I was confused. I called and spoke to Zach, the most unprofessional man I’ve ever spoken to, who told me read my contract. I did. The materials part stated only if I needed them and I could purchase for extra cost. I didn’t want to pay for a mattress cover, shrink wrap, tape (which they admitted they used maybe two pieces), and a mirror cover (I don’t even own a mirror), yet I was charged extra for those. I didn’t want those items but Zach threatened me and said I had to buy those items or he would pull the men off the job immediately. I really needed the movers so I had no choice. Yes, I’ll admit I had an attitude with him but I was very angry as this was NOT spoken about over the phone when I made the appointment and felt like a complete blindside. Zach also made an inappropriate comment saying my mattress needed a cover because “who knows what’s on your mattress and that’s not going in his truck without a cover”. He was horrible. I paid $80 for items I stated I didn’t want nor was it fully outlined in the contract he told me to read. Even the movers agreed that I shouldn’t be required to pay for items I said I didn’t want. I paid $600 plus tip for 2 hours! The movers were fabulous and I tipped them before coming back to my apartment and seeing they messed up my floor. I’ll have to pay for that and I doubt I’ll get reimbursed. The movers made no mention of this. Made this day even better. Do yourself a favor and hire someone else. There is a company in Arlington called Apollo Strong and they are fully worth it. I was trying to cut costs and didn’t go with them and now I’m paying for it now. My new box spring was never put in a bag (even though I was charged for it) and as a result it is soiled. The mattress is now dirty as well. My movers were absolutely worth the 5 stars! But changing to 2 as this edit is about the office/customer service. It was a nightmare dealing with them and it’s absolutely ridiculous that I paid over $1100 for them to pack and move one closet and partial kitchen, about 8 rubber made totes, a wire shelf and dining table. When I placed my reservation, I provided all pertinent information and when they called me the day of the move, everything was incorrect. Address, size of apartment and what was being moved etc. I had to reiterate and go over everything again and they still got my name spelling and email wrong. I also told them I had packing materials etc that they could use but they had the drivers go all the way back, get supplies and had them use their stuff which I was charged over $400 for, when I already had everything they needed and communicated that, to both customer service reps I spoke to!!! This only took 3 hours as well. They only moved maybe 500 sqft of stuff. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone! I can only recommend the two gentleman that moved me. I recently moved from out of state, and paid $6000 for an entire 2x2 apartment that was 1200 square feet. This company is a COMPLETE ripoff and overcharges!!! Wow!!!! I normally check the reviews before making a final decision on any kind of product/service, but I didn't, but I wish I had because I would have made a different decision. The only reason I am giving them a two is because the movers were very professional, not like what I read in some of the other reviews. There were a few mishaps that I will explain. One of the movers was in training and his trainer did a very good job explaining to him the why behind the what. With that said, I was paying for labor and not training. Those 3-5 minute explanations, eight times that I counted, adds up. Also, there 4 times they took a load to the truck and it took them almost 10 minutes to come back up, when I checked, it was training being done. In addition to the 4 times, there were a couple they were taking a breather. In this Texas heat, I cannot count that against them at all!!! When they arrived to load I was not there, but my significant other was, so when I arrived they had already started loading the truck. I am guessing the paperwork is normally done before the first piece of furniture is loaded. They stopped so we could complete the paperwork, this was about 20 minutes (answering my questions, but the majority of the time was the training piece). I asked if this time was counting and was told "no, this will not count against your time." Looking at the bill this morning, I see that it did count. We get to the new location and it took them 15 minutes to back the truck into the driveway. During that process, the neighbors yard across the street was damaged by the tires from the grass. He came out yelling and screaming. Not a great way to meet the new neighbors. In addition, in one of the attempts to back into the driveway, the stop sign was collateral damage. See attached picture. I was charged for three hours of labor, which I definitely did not get. In addition, I was also charged $157 for packing materials, which my items were already in boxes. They did use their, blankets, tape and plastic wrap on a few items. For $157, they should have left everything they used. I see that I was also charged $12 for a mirror carton piece. I am not sure what that is because all of my home decor was already taken to the new location by me. I was charged $50 for 2 things of shrink wrap, which I only saw one and they took the remainder with them when they left. I was charged $9 for 2 mattress bags. This is incorrect because I only had one queen size bed, it does not have a box spring and I already had the mattress bag on when they arrived. I am guessing this was an oversight because I was told this would be removed. Hopefully, I won't have to move anytime soon, but if I do, I will not be using All My Sons. Read More

Tim, Jeremy and Syree were amazing to work with. Super polite and speedy. They even played with my dogs! If you get a chance to work with these 3 men, then you’re a lucky person! I can’t same the same kind things about their office managers, though. I wasn't quoted accurate costs. Both managers at the store argued with me, called me rude for explaining my thought process, and --no joke-- the manager told one of the movers to call the police on me. All I did was reach out b/c I didn't under stand the costs and they were inflated. I've never been in such a situation and the poor movers were stuck in the middle. They were told they couldn't do a thing at all until I paid the full amt which was why I was on the phone with the managers in the first place. They also were told to keep my mom's belongings on their truck until I paid because "you signed your property over to us". It took them 11+ hours (and roughly $3,800 in charges) for a 3 man crew to move a 2 BEDROOM APARTMENT to another apartment in the SAME COMPLEX. (Literally the building next door). This was my first time using a professional moving company, so maybe this is typical - but definitely not what I was hoping for. The movers were very kind during the process which was the only upside of the whole experience. I was told that they would help pack the items I wasn't able to get to (which I specifically asked for) and that if I labeled the boxes/items the movers would put them the appropriate rooms in the new place. While they did this with some of the items, most of the boxes were stacked in the living room and I was told they "didn't have time" to put them in the appropriate rooms. My kids and I helped with moving the items we could to the new place. When I would stack something for the movers to take, they would say, "Are you wanting me to take that - or are you?". I called to share my experience with the company and they refunded $381 and asked that I leave a 5 star review with them in return. This entire experience, even if I only focus on the amount of time it took them to finish the job, was WAY different than what I was originally quoted when I was researching companies to use. One of the movers continuously commented on how while the company charged a lot, he didn't make enough. Comments about how this was only worth it because of tips. He said that he was consistently having to apologize to customers for how much he was charging them because of the "office", often much larger amounts than what the customer originally planned to pay. Were do I start, just a bad experience all around, to start the movers showed up at my place and within the first 30 minutes a young man named Eric said that, "a tip is mandatory and cash or credit cards can be used" and it goes downhill from there, after taking nearly 2 and a half hours to load my 1 bedroom apartment with a 2 man crew, we were off to my new address. About halfway thru the unloading process, Eric says we need to resolve my bill and I'm like, ok but you haven't finished yet, how do you know how many hours to bill me for at this point and he says, he had spoken to his manager (I'm not sure what for). He then shows me a total of $1000+ dollars and I ask, may I see an itemized list of what I'm paying for here and he shows me, there's a charge of $140.00+ for packing materials and supplies (I had ALL of my belongings boxed up when they arrived) the only thing of there's that was used was some cello wrap to wrap my sofa and I pushed back at Antoine (unsure of spelling) while on the phone and said, there's no way they used $140.00 of cello wrap to wrap my sofa so, after a series of phone calls between myself and Antoine and between Eric and Antoine, they concluded that I pay $50.00 (Antoine said that's their standard price for a roll of cello wrap) to wrap my sofa with and I said, that's great and since I bought it, I expect the guys will leave it with me, which they didn't. While all this is going on, Eric is standing in my kitchen and kept mumbling, "I'm trying to collect the payment" to both me and the other mover John, after about 30 minutes of just standing there, I say, "why don't you do something, so we can get this over with and I can get you both out of my life sooner?", to which he mumbled, "I'm trying to collect the payment". Boxes were damaged, ruptured from being slammed down so hard, casters were broken off of a couple moving storage devices I own and last but not least, bedding items that I had in Space Bags were thrown over my balcony, I didn't even realized they were outside until about 2 hours after the guys had left, I took a photo and it's attached. My price was a moving target and the guys were slow, unorganized and seemingly didn't care, except for Eric who, had to mumble repeatedly about collecting that payment. We called a couple weeks ago to get a quote to move a 1100 sq ft. 3 bedroom house. We explained that we had some heavy items (large snap on tool box, old stand up piano, and two full sized fridges) amongst the regular household furniture. They quoted us $1,000-$1,500 for the move. So we booked them. Today is moving day. They gave us the time frame of 7am-9am and arrived at 10am. Once they arrived they pulled every box we had packed up onto our driveway. They got about halfway through filling the truck with smaller items and said we aren’t going to have enough room to move it all so what is important for us to bring this trip. Frustrated we said all the big stuff. So they started loading the furniture. They got to the kitchen table and couldn’t get it out without taking it apart. They didn’t bring tools so they asked for ours. Even though they had already put the tool box into the truck…. We called the manager to ask what the cost will be because we were unaware that it was going to take two trips to move our house (honestly they packed the truck wrong). The manager said that they wouldn’t charge us for the travel time. Okay… frustrating but fine we need to move. They get to the new residence and refuse to unload the truck without payment for the first trip which was $1,100. WHAT?! They didn’t even load up half of our belongings and they want that much. They also left a bunch of boxes on our driveway and just left to go unload at the new house. We had to pay to get our stuff but they for sure were not going to get the second load for us. We rented a uhall instead. While they were unloading our items they laid our piano flat on its back which messed up the keys they also scratched the front side of it badly. We felt the service was very slow and lackadaisical, movers were lacking organization and knowledge of how to handle items/spaces correctly. Took a very long lunch and the drive took almost double the time it should have and then they rushed the drop off in order to get home. The staff was unprofessional (foul language, complaining about being hungry/how long the drive would be, leaving trash on our curb, did not help unload to our expectations (just dropping this off in random places like the furniture in the yard instead of arranging it on patio) and careless with our property (scratched hard wood floors, huge gouges in our walls, items damaged, scratched, dented. After the 3 hours I was discussing with the driver how long it would take - started questioning the cost of the entire move. We budgeted for around $600-1000 (which seemed fair for a 2 bedroom apartment in prior moves). At 3 hours - we were already looking at over $1000. We have a family; Covid has effected us. We don't have those funds to burn. My wife and I jumped in to ensure our children would have their bed's to sleep in - it was obvious we needed to put it into high gear to be able to afford this move.. Due to a military injury overseas I'm 90% disabled. I feel like I did more trips up and down the stairs than the movers did. The three guys who came to pack my stuff were reckless and packed fragile items underneath heavy objects. Daniel said they would lay out carpet and wear gloves and masks but none of that was done. BUYER BEWARE! Booked Roberts Moving, LLC - ALL MY Sons - Fort Worth TX to move an 800 sq. ft apartment. They pushed to put 4 men on the job, (more $/hr) but I insisted on three men to keep congestion down. (For reference-Two guys with a different company moved us 6 months earlier from the same complex in about 6 hours.) Approximately 4 hours in to the job, I called management to let them know that the job was not progressing at an acceptable rate and that only one of the workers was working steadily and we still had a large amount of goods to move out. Carlos the mgr did not ask questions and did not want to upset the workers by talking to them, he offered to cut the fuel surcharge in half. I told him that we had made the same move 6 months before and two guys did the entire move out and move in job in 6-7 hours each and that they were billing for unnecessary hours. This job was getting out of hand. Carlos said he would talk to them. I went out and worked with them to help get things moving. We got to my new home. BEFORE THEY WOULD UNLOAD THE TRUCK THEY REQUIRED PAMENT IN FULL WITH 1.5 HOURS IN THE FUTURE FIGURED FOR UNLOADING AND 1/2 HOUR FOR DRIVING HOME. I called again and told Trey that they were charging me for too many hours because two of they guys were piddling around on the clock. I had the worst experience with this company. My daughter hired them to move her 1 bedroom apartment. The total drive to the new apartment was about 20 minutes. We were quoted a price that we believed was fair . They were supposed to arrive between 9am and 10am. They didn't arrive until 1pm. They loaded everything onto the truck and once they arrived at the new location we found out that there were $300 additional in hidden fees. They then proceeded to lock the truck and told us that they would not release our items for even us to get them off the truck unless we paid them all of the money. This could not be legal. We literally had to pay almost 1000 to move a one bedroom apartment. I've move a whole 4 bedroom house for just about that amount. Run from this company. I feel so sorry for the elderly or single mothers that run across them because they could lose alot. Me and my daughters had to move the remainder of our stuff up 3 flights of stairs because if they stay a minute over their time they would charge us an additional $159. PLEASE DON'T USE THIS COMPANY! I'm paraphrasing. I was quoted $406.98 and ended up paying over $900. Which would've been fine if my things hadn't been damaged. Damages include chipped antique dresser, leather scraped off a corner of my couch, scratch on kitchen table, handle of mattress torn off, one of the bed legs missing (support legs under bed). I won't include the box of shattered wine glasses or broken cat bowls even though they were bubble wrapped and marked "fragile". Horrible, horrible service, management....complete liars! Josh and Tate showed up at my 2 bedroom apartment at 8:15. They got the truck all ready to load. I went up to the office to get my new keys. I was moving across an expanse of about 200 yards....up a significant hill. I made it back at 9:15. Low and behold Josh and Tate had not loaded one single item in the truck. Josh decided it would be easier to walk up and down the hill. Well that took them 5 hours and then they decided it was better to load the truck, drive around the corner and unload it at the new apartment. WOW... what a great idea! Apparently Josh had issues with his stomach. He took a 20 minute bathroom break in the morning, followed by a 30 minute bathroom break in the afternoon. My poor sister had to clean the remnants of his digestive issues shall we say. Several of the trips up and down the hill were with two or three items in their arms, dollies half full, cell phone breaks, etc. I timed several trips and it took anywhere from 5 to 15 minutes per trip. I was quoted $109.00 x 3 plus taxes. I ended up paying double that! Josh clocked me out at 1:15 even though they didn't finish until 2:45. I'm sure because he realized what a horrible decision it was to carry everything up the hill. From 1:15 until 2:45 they decided to load the last of it in the truck and drive around the corner. They broke 4 items but will not repair or compensate me for one of them because the part that was broke was particle board. I quote, "once assembled you cannot move that kind of furniture". This company hires COMPLETELY unprofessional workers. Three grown men who were in Truck 112 came into the Racetrac on Harris and Cooper in Arlington and entered the WOMANS restroom. When one of the female workers walked into the restroom she saw one of the men urinating into the bathroom sink with his unmentionables completely exposed while the other two men were in stalls. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! look at the attached picture and decide for yourself. I ignored the yelp reviews because this company has a good reputation in general, but do so at your own peril. I specified my 55" 4K smart tv was an item of great importance and to take great care , and they cracked it from end to end leaving it unusable. I'm working with claims right now, and I will update this review based on the outcome of my working with them. After the move we had to patch up walls due to carelessness. Our furniture was not properly packed to be protected. The guys in San Antonio took pictures so they weren’t responsible for damage. Which didn’t matter to AMS because they haven’t taken care of us since the move we made in July 2018. After the move we had to patch up walls due to carelessness. Our furniture was not properly packed to be protected. Our newly purchased bedroom furniture- ALL damaged. 2 dressers, 2 night stands, headboard, footboard, side rails. The guys lost our screws to the mirror for our dresser which are not regular screws. The guys in SA who put our bed together did not put the braces underneath before putting our king mattress on and the first time we went to lay down it broke. Our dining table has scratches and damage. Our entertainment center damaged. We went through and filed a claim. Literally the worst moving experience I've ever had. They were super friendly and claimed to be there for us all the way through! Until something goes wrong! So after all the money was paid for I realized that my move was now way over my projected budget. $600 was steep, and while I know I signed the dotted line and I agreed to it, I felt like I'd been kicked in the nuts. After sitting in the parking lot for 15-20 mins the unload finally starts. The guys put everything where I wanted and set up everything just as though I moved into a fully furnished apt. Everything was well packed and nothing arrived damaged or broken. At 3:20 they were finally finished. Now remember I paid till 4:00. So now we gotta go thru the pain of refunding my credit card, which I was told would be just north of $50. Again, why can't I just pay when the move is over instead of having to go thru this prehistoric process? To sum it all up, my review is clearly mixed and bi-polar. There and very great things about this company. The customer service from everyone you speak to thru a telephone was superb. The owner calling and checking in, all nice touches. However, there are also some things that left a sour taste in my mouth. The parking lot fiasco, the 15 min paperwork time, the credit card snafu, etc. You are hiring a professional moving company. And while they come through on their end of the bargain, I can assure you there are other companies out there that could prob fit your needs with less headaches and prob a little less cash out of your pocket.
