I wanted to take a moment and make sure I left a positive review for All My Sons Moving Company. We had a great experience through the entire process from original quote to final moving day delivery. Brittani did a great job taking inventory of all the stuff we needed to move and provided a quote with a promise not to exceed, which in the end was much cheaper than original quote! On the moving day Michael Taylor and his team of 4 guys were super professional. They asked tons of questions and made sure each guy knew what needed to move and what could stay. They each asked questions to make sure I was okay with certain things moving and where they needed to go. They took great care of all our belongings and were very professional with wrapping each item and making sure everything was safe and protected. I was impressed with how fast and efficient they moved along with the care to detail. Well, I'm not one to publicly complain about companies, but when there is one as horrible as this one, I feel compelled. After receiving an offer $150 to replace a 65" Samsung television that All My Sons broke, I thought I'd share my full experience: Just a follow-up to this, All My Sons Moving & Storage offered me $150 for the damage. On top of the broken tv, things I haven't publicly complained about: - I got a call the morning of the move telling me I would have to pay for 3 guys instead of 2 because they didn't have any 2-man teams available. - It took them nearly an hour before anything was moved outside of my place because they were "staging the truck" discussing what would need to be wrapped (literally 2 TVs). - They didn't bring any tools, as I was assured they would, to disassemble my bed and install the transit bolts in the front-loading washing machine. - They didn't install the transit bolts in the washing machine, so it's probably broken, too. Instead, they put them in the detergent container. - You thought I cussed a lot - you should have heard these guys! Yelling up and down the hallway where the neighbors could hear everything. - Assured me that the TVs were wrapped properly and secured in the trailer safely after I questioned how it was strapped to the inside of the trailer. - Was promised I would be called during the move to check on the status of things - never happened. - Was promised I would be called following the move to check on the status of things - never happened. Perfect experience from start to finish. I had All My Sons pack up and move my house. It started with Nick Belshaw, my estimator. I signed up for a quote online and Nick called me to do the estimate. We did a quick video call to go through the house and point out everything that would be backed and moved. Within 10 minutes of the call I had my quote and the price was exactly what I expected it to be. Now because of complications with a contractor in my new home I had to reschedule 3 times.(Once the night before) Each time they were sympathetic to my situation and moved my date without a problem. Moving day went as expected, they showed up on time with 2 trucks and 5 guys. My house was packed up by noon and we were off to the new house. It took about two hours to move everything in. Now.. during the move one of my desks was broken. The next day I called the claims department and right away they had me taken care without any issues. I filled out a few forms and the check for my desk is on its way. One thing I would like to point out is the way they pack. Now it some cases I found it to be a bit excessive but every little item gets wrapped up…I mean every little item lol Over all I would recommend All my Sons to anyone looking to move.(I’d also recommend getting them to un pack we’re drowning in boxes) Thank you to everyone on the Team who made this a great experience. TL:DR All My Sons damaged my property in a move and tried to blame it on someone else. We contacted All My Sons Moving for a quotation to pack and move our 5-bedroom home and deliver to storage in our barn, pending the completion of our new home. LV Montgomery came to our home to prepare the quotation and walked through our home, counting furniture, reviewing appliances, and going over our belongings to come up with an estimate. LV gave us a quote and we decided to go with All My Sons to move our home, expecting a kid glove treatment of our belongings. My wife has a closet full of dresses and LV said he would drop off some large hanging boxes the week before the move so she could pack her clothes nicely on hangers. The week of the move came and no boxes. We called to ask about them and were asked how many we thought we needed. We gave them a number and they said they would bring some by. On the day of the move, we still had no boxes and the movers arrived and said they would pack the dresses. There were two trucks scheduled and about 8 people packing and moving our house. It was a busy day. The first problem arose when they tried to move my refrigerator and found it wouldn’t fit through the door, even with the handles off. They said the doors needed to come off and they could not do that; I would have to contact a specialist to come out to remove the doors or leave it behind. Luckily, they knew a specialist who came out, removed the doors, and put them back on after it made it through the door. He wanted $250 cash, or he would not do it. This was never mentioned in our quote from LV. The second problem was when we got to our destination and discovered large scratches on the doors of our large and expensive refrigerator. All My Sons said it must have been the specialist that caused the damage, and I should speak to them, accepting no responsibility. We sent pictures to the specialist and upon further review it was determined that All My Sons failed to wrap and protect my very large and expensive refrigerator when they strapped it to the wall of the truck box. Since it was not padded, secured, or protected in any way it was horribly scratched. This was pure negligence. Problem 3: We discovered after they left that they unloaded and placed a solid oak dresser upside down, on its dresser top, on the concrete floor of our building. Again, pure negligence. Problem 4: Remember those wardrobe boxes full of dresses? Every dress was taken off their hangers and dumped into the box. Not folded. Not hung on a hanger. Dumped. Problem 5: At one point they stopped loading and left all kinds of crazy things behind. Toolboxes, boxes of hangers (from the dresses,) and all sorts of odd things. No walk through at all before leaving. Strange. I would suggest you either purchase supplemental insurance if you deal with All My Sons or contact someone with more experience and integrity when moving your belongings. If I could give less than one star I would, which is unfortunate because there was a time when I would have given this company 5 stars. (I had used them years ago and had a completely different experience). We scheduled our move for the first day of the month; because, when moving from one apartment to the other that's the typical move in day. I booked my move and was told the 3 men would arrive around 1-2 p.m. The customer service representative said that the movers would call when they are 30 minutes out. However, I got a call the day of my move, at the time the movers are supposed to arrive, informing me that three crews didn't show up that morning. Because of this they would not be able to move me that day and asked if I was flexible on my move date. I'm not sure about you, but my move date was pretty set in stone since I had to be out of my current apartment the next day. I was left with no other option but to take off work the next day, and agree to let movers come from a different All My Sons location and move my things. I felt as though this was the only option because I didn't have friends or family to help me, a truck rented, or enough time to secure a more professional moving company. The following day the movers came at 7 p.m. Everything was fine until the unload when they broke one of the legs of my antique table. Then came the bill. We were quoted around $350 -- a reasonable amount to move from a one bedroom apartment to a two bedroom apartment. In the end the move cost us $614 (not counting the tip). I was appalled that I was charged extra for fuel because they had to send a crew from out of my location's area. The crew manager said there was nothing he would do I would have to pay and call corporate about getting some of the money back. I called the corporate office and after being jerked around on what department I needed to be in contact with, I eventually left messages for 4 different departments and filled out a damages claim. That was two months ago. Despite multiple efforts no one with the authority to help me has contacted me back. I wouldn't recommend this company to people I hate, much less anyone I like.
