The crew damaged a few things -- one of them being an heirloom that we asked the crew to be very gentle and mindful of. The one star is not because of the damages. I'm fully aware that things may get damaged in a move, as unfortunate as that is. the one star is how the crew dealt with this information. I'd fully understand if the movers can't admit to fault right then and there due to legality or company policies. Then they could train their managers to say something along the lines of "This is an unfortunate occurrence, but I made a note of it and come the next business day, call the office and please file a claim." What the crew decide to do was gaslight us. First they denied responsibility. Then we showed them the broken pieces, they suggested it may have been there before the move -- which all the damages happened in the front of our items -- meaning we would've all seen the damages as we were doing the initial walk-thru of the house and items that need to be moved. Like the broken pieces of the dresser were in the plastic wrapping they wrapped. When the crew leader saw that he said, "It's not even the same size as the chipped off part of the leg." We had to tell him to look at all the pieces on the ground and in the plastic wrapping -- the pieces weren't floating in the plastic wrapping (THAT Y'ALL WRAPPED) before the move. I mean, my guy, you wrapped it. The pieces broke off clearly after the wrapping because it's inside the plastic wrapping... Our experience with 3 Men Movers is that when things are damaged their procedure is to 1) deny and faced with evidence to rebut their denial 2) blame the clients. I just want to emphasize, while we were thoroughly disappointed with the damage of that dresser -- I would've moved on after filing a claim with 3 Men. We had school desks, tables, chairs, books and other items we were donating to a school in Beaumont. Gerson, called me the day of the pick up & move, well in advance of his time of arrival, to confirm details and other logistics. Once, they arrived they were fast, respectful of the items they were packing up and in loading them onto the truck. They brought all of the moving items needed to package up lose items. It was a so reassuring to know our items were in good hands to trek to Beaumont. Hired these movers to help me move from 2 cities. Movers were very good and speedy during the whole move out scenario of my apartment. It wasn’t until I had arrived home and everything was unpacked that I connected my TV to find out it was damaged from the move, to the point where it shows a crack from a corner and the screen won’t display anything. It looks like it’s from the upper right corner, so it looks like maybe a box hit it during the drive or something fell on top of it from that corner? Either way, my TV arrived damaged. I called to get assistance to file a claim, when I called I was told by the claim management team on December 15th that resolutions to this damage would be either: they’d send someone to do the TV repairs, they’d compensate me for a new TV of the same brand/series, or I’d get my money back for the TV value. This were the exact words the claim management team on that day when I called for assistance on filing my form. I received a call today stating my claim was approved and I would receive 32 dollars for the damage. I told them this is not what I was told when I first filed the claim, but they did not seem to know anything of what I was told on December 15th when I first filed the claim. It wasn’t bad enough trusting movers with valuable items you give them during the move, but then being told one thing and then another really does infuriate a customer when it is already stressful as it is. I found this experience very unprofessional and I was left unsatisfied by trusting this company with my items and having them not only damaged, but being, in the end, lied to about my resolution to this damaged item. I got my 2 bed moved to a storage and they guys where quick but made me wait a very long time for someone to process the balance it took a few phone calls and a bit of a run around . It was paid litterally with the same card I gave a deposit with. 25-30 mins and I kept asking them to stage my items the way I need for easy access to my storage they claimed they would fix it once everything was out of the truck and STOPED working for the time until they could get someone on the phone for the balance.. clearly it went thru but they never fixed my items as requested and also made me late to picking up my kid 🙄. I move in my new place next week don’t think I will use them again but I did catch the guy on the phone for a while when they first got there.. I still paid. With no complaints of money just wish I didn’t have to set my stuff up my self like waste of $500 smh Read More

After 30 years in the Austin area, I decided to move away from the traffic, rising prices & property taxes, and chaos to a town about 50 miles away. After learning that the big names wanted thousands of dollars for a short move, I selected 3 Men Movers. Initially, they were going to just load a UHaul but when UH was unable to produce the truck, the day before the move, I upgraded 3MM to do the full move. They arrived at 7am, as agreed and Eduardo and I looked through what I was going to move. We talked about some ideas I'd had about using the wood shelves (see image) as flooring so it wouldn't take up valuable space and other things I'd planned to do when I was going to be using the UHaul. He didn't reply to any of my suggestions. He had me sign the agreement and got his very young guys, who didn't speak English, to work. They'd taken a fair bit out when I was notified that the lumber in my garage could not be moved. They also pointed out that things in bags couldn't be transported. I'd kept a number of blankets, towels, etc... in bags to use as filler/padding but was prepared to toss them in the back of my car so that wasn't a big deal. The lumber was the issue. As it wasn't precluded on their website AND I'd shown it to him before they started loading, I had a problem with the way he'd had me sign the contract knowing that he was going to disallow it afterwards. That seems like a bait and switch tactic. I spoke to Yeffrey at their offices who reaffirmed Eduardo's position citing safety concerns. I didn't agree since the lumber could have been used as flooring as I'd suggested or tied together using rope, web straps, etc... to ensure it couldn't slide or fly around the truck's interior but they weren't interested in finding a resolution. After all, they already had my $234 trip fee just to show up at the house. If I'd known about the lumber issue, if it had been listed on their web site, if the person I spoke to originally who asked about what I'd be moving had told me that my lumber would be an issue, I could have saved the fee because I wouldn't have hired them in the first place. Ultimately, it appears that they are ok with taking my money but not in doing the job as they latched onto excuses rather than finding solutions. The 3 Female Packers arrived in the morning of March 18, 2021. One of the 3 is supposed to be in charge and supervise the 2 other employees packing. Instead, she kept me distracted chatting it up. I do not speak or understand Spanish, however, while only the 2 packing just my bedroom and no furniture involved, primarily already all packed for them, except for hanging clothes. The only instructions were simply to mark any containers, boxes items not already marked, “TO HOTEL” and tape if not. All other items were packed and arranged around front room pool table and on table and a small, arranged section near the garage door. Both of these were simply to be properly taped up and marked as those I’d already completed, with DONT THOW AWAY-HOUSE. They spoke in Spanish to one another, and were done in less than an hour. My $12,000 Resonator Antique Guitar was in its case with am amplifier cord, my 40 year collection of rare pics and antique Harmonica, also given to me by my 90 year old Musician Uncle who is still living. My Prized Guitar in its case was laying on the bare mattress. Waylon Jennings, Country Singer, was my Uncle’s first Cousin and grew up together. My Uncle is lifelong good friends with Willie Nelson ever since Willie announced on stage a guitarist was absent and requested from the audience (way back before Willie Nelson became super famous) if there was anyone who could fill in for the sick player. My Uncle approached and they’ve been great friends ever since, often just hanging out together. This started my Uncle’s 2nd Career after retirement from the OSS through WWII and The Korean Conflict. He learned Bands, way back before computers and mobile phones, all kept a roster of musicians whom could be phoned and quickly arrive to fill in for any member of their band who was sick or unavailable. My Uncle could play every instrument, lead guitar, back up guitar, bass, piano, fiddle, harmonica, slide and his Cousin Mickey joined the roster as a drummer, although my Uncle could also play the drums, need be. I had just severely injured my lower left leg, am already legally disabled, so I rested on the sofa to wait for the movers. I directed the movers to pack everything except furniture in the bedroom first the packers and I had marked HOTEL for final destination. Then remainder in front room & small amount in the garage. They unloaded that around the block in my home still needing repaired from the freeze. All items were placed in the front room across the wall of Windows and a few boxes inside my Uncle’s room beside it. The movers followed myself & friend, Roe, who’d met me before movers, to the Hotel Suite I will be at until my home’s repairs are completed. This was the 3rd time I’d had to move since the freeze. The neighbor I leased the furnished home had it for sale, and had a buyer. He also noted that he was missing a few electronics & quilt. The packing Superviser kept me away from watching packers, conversing in kitchen out of view. She only replied in Spanish loudly to bedroom, responding something in Spanish when something spoken in Spanish was said to her. The other lady spoke in Spanish , but was familiar with understanding and speaking in English. Unfortunately, I was by myself while the packers were there, and didn’t have 2nd eyes. I thoroughly checked my security footage at my home, and no guitar was unloaded. They unloaded my suitcase of clothes, & my friend Roe took it back out for me to her SUV’s enclosed rear, which is on the security footage. I searched everywhere in this suite for my precious guitar & accessories inside the case when I could finally unpack. Broke down in tears not finding it. I was stay off my left leg as much as possible. The 1st day my leg was feeling a little better, I went to my home & looked inside 2 boxes large enough to have squeezed my guitar in. This company is horrible!!! They over charged us and almost damaged three things of our belongings! We told them it is unfair they charged us for there crew to go eat which was 1.5 hours. They informed me they took 30 minutes off my time and that the rest was due to transport. I informed them that the crew member told us he would take a hour off. The crew they sent was HORRIBLE. They damaged an expensive leather couch by DRAGGING it on the floor and ceiling. They didn't even realize they were damaging it. We had to tell them to stop DRAGGING the couch. They were too weak to properly lift it, and they didn't sufficiently wrap it. They also kept whacking door frames with furniture. We ended up having them leave everything on the first floor of the new home. If you're moving heavy or nice furniture and not just boxes, I would not trust a crew from this company. The customer support was equally poor. When I complained during the move, the highest ranking manager I could get on the phone was defensive and said the movers told her the couch was heavy. Of course it is heavy; that is why I hired MOVERS. (Other movers moved the same couch into my prior home with no issue). If you have an issue during an active move, the company does nothing to help other than calling the crew to ask them to be more careful, which we already did. They also kept reciting a script about submitting a claim form. In other words, the company wanted us to just let the movers continue with the move and damage my new home and belongings. Moving into a new home is already a stressful experience. Using this company made it 10 times worse. I have moved many times with the same furniture without any problems. In fact, I had used 3 Men Movers on two prior occasions several years ago and had a great experience. Several of my friends who used 3 Men Movers many years ago also liked them. Our experience was an absolute nightmare. Moving is already stressful enough, which is why it is so important to get a reliable, effective moving company. And, simply put, 3 Men Movers is the farthest thing from it. While they claim a "hassle-free" day, it couldn't have been more of a hassle. AT THE FIRST HOUSE - they showed up 3 & 1/2 hours late - moved incredibly slow - underestimated the load and had to unpack and re-pack the truck 3 TIMES! because they didn't pack effectively - disassembled some of our furniture and lost the screws and bolts - left stuff because it was "too heavy" - didn't take all big items and we were left to figure it out ourselves AT THE NEW HOUSE - didn't read any boxes or put stuff in the correct place - I had to personally reassemble everything...even though they claim this is part of the service - they stacked everything in the doorways to the room, not efficiently unloading anything so all the rooms are a mess - lost the bolts to our couch, so we can't put it back together - left trash in the front yard - left all furniture Saran wrapped and just stacked everything on top of each other - took over 7 hours start to finish and we don't have a lot of stuff (3br house). - had to stay up until almost 1am to unwrap and reassemble beds, etc. I STRONGLY urge anyone needing a moving company this summer to look elsewhere. Excellent service and very friendly staff. The three men movers were very hard working and got things done in record time. They didn't mind moving the furnitures to the correct room after I mistaken it for another furniture. They were very diligent with their work and careful with the furnitures. They wrapped furnitures with blanket and Saran Wrap. They also disassembled and reassembled certain furnitures. Movers: I have used 3 Men Movers for all of my moves except 1 (I think 5?). I have always loved and recommended them. However, I've noticed their quality declining as the years have gone by. The last 2 moves they broke significant things. Most recently, they broke our A/C condenser coil (WHICH BREAKS THE ENTIRE A/C UNIT) when removing our Christmas Tree from the attic. They used the strategy of time (not returning phone calls or emails) and many work-arounds in their policies to never pay us for this and to deny our claims even though there were pictures and an actual HVAC repairman to give proof of our claim. This cost us $1500 to fix. The last move from THEIR storage (4 bedroom house) into another 4 bedroom house with a stop in-between to pick up a bed and some boxes took 8 hours. E-I-G-H-T. You might say, perhaps you had fragile things. You are correct. We had many pieces of art--packed by their professional packers--and they still got broken by the movers. Oh, and I had to ask movers to wear masks during COVID. Storage: Dustin (the storage manager) is amazing and the reason this review is so high. We still use storage with them because of him. Packers: They're mostly thorough, but don't use any common-sense discernment. They literally packed an open container of cooking grease (think: used container next to the stove) in a box with other stuff, which got grease everywhere. They did not take care of boxes labeled fragile and several glassware items were damaged from a box placed at the bottom of a heavy stack of boxes. They damaged one of my televisions, which really upsets me because the sales person on the phone ASSURED me that there was no reason to purchase additional insurance and that all my tvs would be completely safe. Some of the staff took their masks off in the house periodically which put myself, my wife, and my newborn at an unnecessary health risk. I also asked that they let me disassemble our Sleep Number bed, after they took down the frame Instead, they disassembled everything and broke part of the bed in the process. When they assembled the bed I pointed out that there were two straps and that they needed to be attached to the bed. The guy putting the bed together just nodded, incorrectly installed the one strap and did not inform me that he broke the other one at the start location. They damaged one of my televisions, which really upsets me because the sales person on the phone ASSURED me that there was no reason to purchase additional insurance and that all my tvs would be completely safe. Some of the staff took their masks off in the house periodically which put myself, my wife, and my newborn at an unnecessary health risk. I also asked that they let me disassemble our Sleep Number bed, after they took down the frame Instead, they disassembled everything and broke part of the bed in the process. When they assembled the bed I pointed out that there were two straps and that they needed to be attached to the bed. The guy putting the bed together just nodded, incorrectly installed the one strap and did not inform me that he broke the other one at the start location. I didn't even realize until I went back to the other house and saw the broken strap just left on the ground. Overall I would not hire 3 Men Movers ever again and I certainly don't feel that this company is taking appropriate steps during COVID-19 to keep everyone healthy. Definitely an A+ plus overall. But let me tell you why! from starting with the administrative, they had 1 # wrong on my phone # and 1 # off on an address. Stay far far away. 3 Men Movers was recommended to me by family and coworkers so I took a chance. I completely regret my decision. Monday, August 6th. To start I received a call the day before my move letting me know that the crew was on their way and would be at my residence within the hour. I started scrambling to get things ready for their arrival when I received another phone call stating that the crew leader screwed up and my move was indeed scheduled for the next day. Moving day arrived and this time I did not get a call from the crew leader and no one showed up either. I called 3 Men Movers to find out my crew would be running behind and I should be hearing from them soon. I received a call from the crew leader stating that they were waiting on one member and would be there in about 30 minutes. Time went by and 45 minutes later still no crew. I called back and they informed me that the crew was still short a person and I could take a 2 man crew and they would lower the hourly rate. Already frustrated I agreed just so we could get the move started. Another hour went by and still no crew was at my front door. Finally over 2 hours late they finally showed up. The move started out well but when we got the new residence they put a huge scratch in my front door. In addition the master bedroom furniture was completely tore up. I immediately started the claims process with 3 Men Movers and they assured me they would make things right. Friday, November 2nd. Now going into month 3 and we still have not gotten the claim finalized. 3 Men Movers did have a furniture repair company come and repair the master bedroom furniture but the front door was deemed beyond repair. 3 Men Movers is now trying to pay me pennies on the dollar for the front door because their insurance will not cover a front door replacement. Friends used them before and they were great except this last time that I moved from a 1 BR apt to a house 7 mins away- paid $800 and it would've been okay, except it seemed as if they were purposely lagging. A few hours in, the crew leader began to get comfortable and playful. He rushed the dolly and didn't measure a desk through a narrow hallway, and poked a hole in the newly painted wall as I watched him look at it and try to play it off and act as it didn't happen. When confronted towards the end, he pretended not to know what we were talking about. The dude swore that he would be back to fix it the following week but 2 months later and he seems to have disappeared from the Earth. It also took them about 30 minutes to drive a 7 minute drive. Just used their packing service and Maria and her crew her fantastic, fast and efficient! The ladies were all extremely sweet and polite, and they were gentle/careful with my things. I'm so amazed that they were able to finish everything within the 2 hour minimum. They had me check the rooms when they were finished packing them to make sure that they hadn't missed anything, and everything looks perfect! HUGE TIME SAVER! I wish that I would have called them sooner than I did. I will definitely call and use them again for future moves! UPDATE: I've been unpacking my boxes (just moved into new place yesterday) and I was told by the Packers that if I ran out out supplies or boxes, they would use some from their truck and just charge me for them. Well they never ended up needing to go get anything extra in the end. Today as I unpack my clothes from some of the boxes label "clothes in drawers" I see that they also just decided to toss, and yes, I do mean TOSS, some of my hanging clothes into the boxes too, along with tons of extra hangers that have now snagged holes in some of my more delicate shirts (that are always hung, never folded)! If I could give them more stars I totally would... I needed to move my things out within a week and with time being so short notice I couldn't find anyone to help me move. Being a single mother with a hectic work schedule I decided to use 3 men movers since I see them everywhere and because yelp had good reviews on them as well. I didn't request anyone but come moving day, today, on April 29, 2015 Raul Garcia came along with his crew. They were suppose to be at my apartment by 8am however I knew with traffic they might take longer to arrive. Sure enough, I got a courtesy call from Raul letting me know he might be late because he was stuck on 290 traffic. If your from Houston you know 290 is a disaster. They arrived shortly after 8am, Raul went through the obvious and read all of his terms and conditions and I signed and off they went. They were efficient and extremely careful with my things, asking me questions in regards of my personal belongings. Long story short within 2 hours they had my 2 bedroom apartment literally inside my storage facility, which by the way was in the 3rd floor, squared Away. I even asked them if they were sure that was all of my things when going up the elevator because of how fast they moved everything. So yes, all in all I was extremely happy with Raul and his crew... Instead of spending all day to move your things, with a quickness they had everything packaged up and done within two hours. My brother is even moving soon and I told him to get the crew that helped me. He called and that very same day got them to come and help him move as well. I have moved many times before today but always with the help of friends and family.... I hired 3 Men Movers after my sister and my parents had hired them (Houston crews). Biggest mistake ever. I had already sold almost all of the furniture. All they would move is one king size bedroom set, a sectional, dining table a bunch of boxes. Angel' screw couldn't even handle that. Within five minutes they were already making excuses and complaining that they were tired from the move that morning and it was going to take a long time. They even told me that they might not be able to finish. I called Norma at the office and made her aware of the situation, and she called Angel. He told Norma that they would do their best and not even take a break. After 8 1/2 hours ($853) later, I was still forced to move many of my own items. They messed up the carpet in the rental house, which they are supposed to send me a reimbursement check for. I will update when I receive it. I've moved a lot the past 7 years and have hired movers 4 times. These guys did a fantastic job and raised my expectations for what a moving company should do. Moving is stressful and these guys really made the difference. I realize there's more than one crew and that's a factor but the company also sent somebody in person the next day for a surprise onsite survey on how things went. Nice touch. We started early at 7am knowing we had a lot of stuff and it would take more than one trip even with their largest truck. They didn't just show up on time they showed up 15 min EARLY and got started right away. So were they careful and treat possessions with care? YES! Most furniture pieces they wrapped COMPLETELY in moving blanks and secured the blankets with plastic wrap. They did a better job protecting stuff than we did on our own the day before. It wasn't necessary for us to do any of those preparations. When they were wrapping furniture they would inspect first and point out any scratches, dents, etc so you would know it wasn't caused by them. Perfect! They disassemble large/oblong objects and then wrap them for moving. Then they reassembled each at the new house. Only one thing was broken and that was a punch bowl that wasn't properly packed in a box. We bought lunch to keep the flow going but they didn't even stop to eat. They ate theirs in the truck on the drive back to the old house to save time. They kept working past 8pm to get everything done which was well beyond a 13 hour day of moving. They never showed they were tired or wanted to quit. They were courteous and helpful the entire time. Don't think that they're slow and that's why it took so long. They moved fast and non-stop we just had a lot of stuff and much of it needed protection. Our crew was from Austin led by Angel along with Omar and Miguel. They speak Spanish natively but had not issues communicating in English with us. If you're lucky you'll get these guys. Angel is a pro and recognized all the gotchas that become problems and can artfully maneuver furniture through a door or around an awkward corner without scratching it. They charge less on Tue and Wed because those are slower days for them so we saved money that way. If you care about your stuff, hire these guys. These guys were great. Not only were the prices very reasonable (my main concern), but they were also on time, and VERY fast at what they do. Fast but not clumsy-- they took their time wrapping furniture in plastic, loading boxes, etc... and were able to empty my old apartment in 30 minutes or less. They had me moved out of my Kingwood apartment into the Heights in less than 2 hours (the drive alone was nearly an hour). If you want quick and cheap, this company is probably a good fit for you. However, if you want a more professional experience then you should look elsewhere. The moving crew arrived about 15 minutes early, and the packing crew was here about 10 minutes later. We walked through the house and discussed what was being moved that day. The (moving) supervisor advised me that I should have had the house packed the day before (which would have been nice to know), but that they could probably work around it. Now the people working on my packing and moving were nice, and I'm sure their hearts were in the right place, but they were not at all professional. For instance, they moved all of my dressers, chests, et cetera without packing the contents. They merely put plastic wrap around the drawers and moved them that way.
