So I thought the price was very fair and I appreciated them working to move my moving date several times as my house kept getting delayed. Now I've been through quite a few moves with different moving companies so I am accustomed to accidents like things getting broken or marks being made on the walls. In this case their people were moving large pieces of furniture up a staircase and they dropped one of them which smacked into the wall hard. The movers did apologize to me and showed me the damage. They took a picture of what they did and told their manager who told me via speakerphone that it would be taken care of. After a few weeks I hadn't heard from them so I called and they told me to go through their claims department which I did and over a month later I received an email saying they will do nothing and that it was actually my fault for not protecting the wall from them dropping the furniture into it. I find that to be unacceptable and a poor way to handle an accident that they readily admitted was their fault. Read More

Moved from Kissimmee to Melbourne, hired 1776 and was happy I did. They showed up on time, looked at what needed to be moved. Then they started work, they did not stop once except to have lunch.
We had more "Stuff" and a second truck was needed, second truck arrived and the work continued.
They arrived at 9am and finished packing the two truck at 10pm. They stored our belongings for two days while we closed on our new home.
At our new home they once again arrived on time and worked until that evening unloading.
Willy was the man in charge for our move, nice friendly guy who packed the two trucks floor to ceiling. The crew of three were workers all friendly and professional.
Not one item was broken or scratched. They wrapped all furniture in moving blankets and taped the blankets around the piece. They must of used a hundred blankets and to many rolls of tape to count.
Moving sucks and we hope to never move again, but it we do we are calling 1776 Moving. Also Peggy the women in the office was a pleasure to work with. Read More

If I could have given them ten stars, I would have! This was BY FAR the easiest move I have had with professional movers. And I've moved a lot! The truck rolled up exactly at the time indicated. The three young men doing the moving were personable, professional, and efficient. One asked me if I was ready to see the fastest move of my life, and he wasn't kidding! They didn't waste a moment of time, and got right to work carefully wrapping up even my shabbiest furnishings.
The whole process starts with a quick overview of the contract and expectations, and a walk through of my premises to get an idea of what furnishings were included. Then they literally started a timer to show exactly how long the move took in reality. They packed up quickly, but still remained personable throughout, joking with one another and with me. It was kind of fun watching them work! We finished with a walkthrough to make sure nothing had been missed, then we drove in our separate vehicles directly to the new place.
The same process occurred in reverse. A quick walkthrough to get the layout and an idea of where I wanted everything and then they were off like a flash unloading the truck. Everything was placed exactly where I wanted it, and with no damage to either my furnishings or the walls. That was quite a feat since they had to haul my washer and dryer up a cruelly narrow and steep stairway to the 2nd floor! At the end, they literally "stopped the clock" and the move came in an hour ahead of schedule and about $200 under the projected estimate! Great work.
We did a last look at the truck to make sure everything was off, and then they went on their way to the next job with a cheerful goodbye! I would definitely use 1776 Moving again for in-town service! They were perfect!
Update: Maybe less than perfect! I have revised my review down considerably. Today I discovered that one of my dining room chair legs still had packing tape from the move wrapped around it. Upon unwrapping the tape, I discovered that the tape was actually being used to hold the leg together. It had totally snapped in half. Rather than bringing the break to my attention (and I would have said "no problem" since it's an older set and breaks happen), they wrapped the leg in packing tape and hid the chair at the table. It's obvious the tape was being used to "repair" the leg and hide the break. That's totally unprofessional, and could have resulted in a serious problem if someone had unknowingly been seated at the table on that chair when the leg gave way.
Update 2: I was contacted by the company who offered to repair the chair. It's good as new, but they still should have told me about the damage rather than hiding it. I shudder to think what could have happened if the chair had broken with someone sitting in it. Read More

Unfortunately had a horrible experience with what I can only assume was contracted out labor by 1776. Team of 3 arrived late and by the time the move was finished, our charge was 50% more than the original quote. Multiple items were damaged in the process as well. Read More

They charged me $2,900 in packing supplies but when they returned the boxes they had recycled boxes from a move to Alaqua
Every closet had their clothes dumped into a large box. Not hung in a garment box but dumped hangers and all.
